I just picked my GT+ up last week and this thing is amazing! Mine came with 2 windscreens and smooth rear covers if I don't want to have the luggage mounts on. The power, comfort, quick shifter and auto blipper, cruise control, TFT screen, luggage, etc. all is amazing. She likes to drink petrol a lot more than my V-Strom 1000. Would have been nice to have a pre-load adjuster on the rear instead of needing a spanner wrench and an IMU but all in all, I love it!!
Just watched your latest suzuki video (and liked it!) and saw one of these in the background. I've got an eye on one right now. They look really cool and I've never had anything with a quickshifter/blipper so tempted.
Really interesting, loved the sound and acceleration! Very pretty bike. Ashame I can never have one would set off my wrists and carpel tunnel within 5 mins! I'd need a ft long handle bar extension 🤣🤣 but great review and thank you for sharing 😊🖖🏼🖖🏼
I've only ever owned sport tourers and when this came out I was so excited about it. I haven't rode one yet but it looks the business. For me though having watched a few reviews (and now the best one being yours of course) I think I'd of wanted it to be more "sporty" something that made you want to be a bit silly however I think for touring this will be a no brainer. Great video mate, hope you're well.
It's a nice bike RB. But yes many would want a more sporty version and that's understandable. For me, I don't bend like I used to 🤣so it worked for me. Thanks mate
I like the S1000 but this looks like a lovely budget sports/touring option. All of the bike you'd ever need on a long trip I reckon. I do love the sound of it too. Use it to commute to work, do a bit of shopping, act like a hooligan on B-roads on a weekend if you like or load it up and go away for a few days. For that money you are really getting several bikes in one. I think it makes a pretty compelling case for itself ! Another bike I love and could justify owning. Cheers ER ! El Otro
Yes the S1000 is a lovely bike, I'm not flexible for it enough though. This Suzuki has higher bars which helps my worn shoulders. Thanks for watching again. Have a good Week. El Otro
@@exeterrider I have a chance to test ride a Suzuki, would you recommend the Gsxs1000 super naked or the GT version. I would like to do a review that will get some interest and I know you've ridden both and reviewed both?
I think for chain driven bikes, marketed as having long distance touring pretensions/ capabilities such as this, it would be nice to see OEM’s could see their way to fitting a centre stand as standard to help with general chain maintenance etc. Whether Euro 5 style exhaust config now makes centre stand fitting awkward or its down to cost/weight saving, I’m not sure. Personally I’m not in the market for a bike like this, just a general observation, but the Suzuki would no doubt be appealing for those riders who are looking in this market place. Top job ER 👍
Thanks mate, Yes there are many bikes I would rather buy ,but only because I like to have a taller screen etc. Yes the centre stand issue has been going on for years....I guess they hold back so they can sell it as an extra!....Thanks for watching the video.
@@exeterrider a possibility for sure. Would be interesting if an OEM could be asked the question why ? Whether you get a truthful answer is another kettle of fish. Ride safe.
Ahhh... good looking bike!! And a nice mix for those people who want some power, but don't want to be leaned way over! I do like that display too! Very easy to see everything. Good first impression Exeter!!
Well ER I reckon it's a lovely bike looks good to me ! and goes well I am sure from what I have seen it's got all you need really and I would love to own one , probably more than I would ever use on the road but it would be fun. So many good bikes these days I don't reckon I could live long enough to try out all the ones I want .😋👌
Yes your right mate ,there are so many now ....But I think a few stick their heads up from the crowd. This one does for me in the sports tourer segment. Sports bikes arnt really my thing ,but I enjoy the GSXer range. Thanks for watching : )
I like this bike, really considered one as a more sensible replacement to my mad MT10. Proper touring credentials. Unfortunately after sitting on one for a while I thought the seat was uncomfortable. Like so many manufacturers they slim the front of the seat down so short folks can get their feet down, for me as a tall guy they have done it at the expense of comfort.
That bike certainly sounds the business! I guess it's the more modern version of my old GSXS1250. I saw those appear after I bought my SX. I might have gone for one of them instead if I knew of them at the time. Another bike for you to test would be the one pictured on the right of the lorry at the start. I'd like one of those but they are pricey!
It seems like a lot of bike for the money, ER, and would appear to edge more towards the sportier side of sport/touring. Perhaps Bridge would lend you one for a more in depth review.
They did a great job copying the Z1000SX / Ninja 1000SX, although they cut a few corners to keep the price down (e.g. no easy to adjust screen, not sure about the suspension adjustability and piliion passenger comfort didn't look the best. (I may be confusing that with something else in the S range!) Don't get me wrong, I'd have one... If I didn't already own the original 😉
I've just come from the Ninja 1000sx to the new Suzuki GT and it's a far superior riders bike. The ninja has far too many intrusive rider aids. I would say the 1000 SX is more towards the new rider to 1000cc. It's not a terrible bike. It's a great bike. I just think the Suzuki is better.
Grossly overrated bike. Suzuki are years late to the party as usual, modifying what they had left in the oarts bin, added a few bits, new plastic cover, Euro5... then go to Scotland to push it out.
Suzuki have always produced excellent vehicles both Car and Bike , whether they are late to the party or not you are guaranteed superb quality and value for money , I know I drive a Suzuki Car .
@@PhilipKerry Bringing the Jimny to the UK market with only 3 euro safety rating is not a quality product. Cheap for a reason, the Swift is an industry joke too. Besides, I'm sure you are aware Suzuki cars/SUV/SAV etc. are not the same company as the Indian owned and invested Suzuki motorcycles. Most are produced as tiny bikes for the Indian market.

Honestly mate , they are a lovely smooth ride. Not normally my thing but I really enjoyed the GT. Try one if you can. ER recommended.
Excellent short review, lots of practical info in a short clip.
Thanks, I wish I could get one for longer to do a proper job. Thanks

Great video ER. It sounds amazing when it’s on sound and I’m sure the engine would be pretty bullet proof.

The Speed Triple RR. It's got the retro looking half fairing but the modern price tag 🙈
