Thanks for your patience with this one, everyone! Adding a character to a game in the middle of a script certainly changes things. But I'm a man of my word!
Who should I do next I wonder? EDIT: I know Fujin made his debut to the franchise with Mythologies, but this series is about gameplay. Fujin was first playable in MK4. Perhaps I could have worded that better but it's the same reason I didn't mention his MKX appearance. It's not about lore, it's about competitive.

I remember Ed Boon once said that Fujin's crossbow for MK4 was really busted because the AI couldn't figure out how to counter it properly.
ngl I like how Fujin's MK11 Moves remind me a lot of those old Kung Fu movies with the Wire Fu stuff. Walking on air doing elegant sword attacks that are almost just elegant dance moves.
I’d love to see an episode on Tanya. I think this series is best at covering characters with a lesser spotlight, and she’d be perfect for it. Her dragon naginata variation in MKX was easily my favorite character in that game so seeing broken down would be awesome.

Agreed! Tanya has been always underrated and overshadowed by others characters even tho she kickass in every game she's in specially at Mkx with her awesome acrobatic skills

Fujin def looks like one of the more interestingly animated characters in MK.

A character I'd love a breakdown of is, of all people, Reiko. He's definitely one of my favorites in MK4 as a casual, and I'd love to see how he is competitively, no matter how few appearances he has throughout the series.
I don't care if it's supposed to be a crossbow, Fujin has a pistol and nobody can tell me otherwise

I’ve been practicing Fujin’s 4 2 into late tornado juggle, micro dash into his 12434. It’s tricky to get to connect fully and doesn’t even do great damage but landing it feels great. His amp tornado juggles are also very difficult to get the timing down so I’m just practicing meterless combos at the moment.

I think it might be an interesting discussion to talk about the MK Meta of Guest Characters. Given that Mortal Kombat is known to make "Dream Matches" happen like Alien vs Predator and most recently Robocop vs the Terminator as of recent, I think it might be a fun and interesting idea to see how these big names shaped the meta of their respective games.

I'd love to see a Sheeva one, this felt like a decent choose your destiny with a very good competitive history. Sheeva on MK9 even if it was bad had a ton of tricks (like most of the MK9 Cast) and there is a lot of potential for me in her as a character in this game, just keep up the good work and love these videos
Sheeva wasnt ABSOLUTELY bad in MK9 but her speed was her huge drawback (like she really was quite slow in terms of making combo and such stuff)
granting EVERY single combo she connects can easily rack up to 40+% damage + plus she had a variety of grabs
she had 2(!!!!) unblockable moves and her fireball missile was amazing since it was impossible just to lay down to ignore it (its that big) + it cant be jumped over + even if opponent blocks it..it had insane knockback

Ok serious question since they brought back a Klassic Mk character who Hasn’t been playable since MK Armageddon I feel like they would add more old 3D era characters
Of all the 3D characters to include, I want Havik and Hotaru so bad.
PNDK&M yeah I mean the Redesigns would be crazy for both of them and the gear would look amazing as well
Aside from Havik, Reiko, Daegon, and Hotaru, I don't think many of the 3D Era charaçters are that interesting tbh.

He talked about Meat and his only appearance in Armageddon. Havik is perfectly fine.
Fujin is so sick in MK11. He deserves to be top tier!

I wanna see an Aftermath Tier list to see if Johnny still number 1 after the patch. Some says no, the nerf did him dirty, others says that in high play doesn't affect, it just affect the casual play. Wanna see your opinion about it.

Likely Low tier for low skilled players, and very high tier if you're high skilled with him.

Could you try Ashrah, Chameleon/Khameleon, Kai, Reiko, Mavado, Sareena, Mokap, Nitara, Havik, Hotaru, Darrius, or shujinko next? They're all super unused characters who all feel unique in their own way. Except for Kai, I'm keeping him here for memes.
Also, who do you think would ever come back from the list above? My bets are on Havik and Hotaru, everyone else feels fucked.

Hard to find an up-to-date tier list as most forums are lost. But one from testyourmight from 2007ish suggests:
1. Sareena
2. Scorpion
3. Dairou
4. Drahmin
5. Sub Zero
Super Bosses like Onaga, Blaze and Moloch are banned.
Kai and Frost are the worst characters in the game.

Kinda odd that you didn't even mention it in this video. He was a sick boss in that game (though the game sucked).
Fujin made his gameplay debut in MK4. He was not playable in mythologies so it isn't correct to say his first competitive game was a single player adventure.
The same way quan chi didn't make his competitive debut in the defenders of the Realm cartoon show.

It's the same reason I didn't mention his MKX appearance. it's not about timelines, it's about competitive. You can go to lore channels for every single appearance. This is about gameplay.

Fujin is pretty awesome what I would want to see next is either Sub-zero, Scorpion, or Raiden. If you want to do female characters probably sonya or kitana.

I saw the f3 into sky walk conversion in this video but i can never do it myself? How do you perform it?
do you use your dpad for inputs? i’m a dpad warrior and i had to force myself to learn the rhythm with the joystick because the window for canceling with your dpad is very small for some reason.

D1 into grab i don’t know how inputs are registered for keyboard, but i assume it’s the same as dpad, which you’ll run into the same issue i stated above

It's kinda sad that the other elemental gods (Water, Earth, Fire) didn't see the light of day again, unlike fujin. However i think fujin is an extremely good character overall,hard to learn but rewarding. He's definitely not high tier or low tier, most likely mid tier. I also really like his character in aftermath, it's still kinda hard to see him and jax being beer buddies
I mean we have Rain, Tremor and Scorpion for that.
But yeah I would not mind those 3 to return.
