I used to want them taken off the list...until somebody posted a video of one taking a lionfish. Goliaths may be the only predator that even CAN eat those terrible invasives. There's not a fish in the ocean of this size that's edible, so why harvest them? Lionfish are one of THE best-tasting fish out there. Forget jewfish, harvest lionfish!

Fishing in the ocean is an unbelievable experience I did it for the first time in November down at the gulf. First time being in the ocean. Had a dolphin chilling by us the whole time, caught a short glipse of a sea turtle floating on the ocean before diving back down. Most the stuff we caught we couldn't keep had to throw back was able to keep a few things. Biggest fish I've ever caught out there but nothing too huge. For those that say it's crazy how fast they give up and not fight for long, what we caught didn't really fight much but at the end my arms were jello with the heavier weights plus the fish.but still amazing experience if never been fishing in the ocean I suggest chartering a boat and doing it.
