@@lazerlancer1861 I know that this is just meant to be a funny joke but I would still like to point out two things. First, I would call going ''you know what, let's just board the enemy spaceship with walking mountains in fuck you armor'' engaging in outer space warfare, damn hardcore one at that. And secondly, Space marine vessel tend not to be Big flying churches. Especially because space marine cruisers are most often not even crewed by many Space marines because it's a damn huge waste. Those guys are literally more effective at destroying enemy ships themselves by boarding them then their ships are. Well, there is also some stuff with the Navy being a bit scared of them but explaining that that would make this way to long answer to a joke that needed no answer even more overly long.
In addition, navys do sea battles. Marines do boarding actions, same thing in space.
Imagine having a fleet commander who makes motivational speeches like this before battle.

Zargothrax is no more in America
Gloryhammer is what happens when the campaign in DND was so good, that you just had to carry it into the universe of Warhammer 40k, just for it to make sense, while being drunk. I have been a fan of Alestorm many a year, but I first discovered Gloryhammer like a year ago. Have to say it's just as nuts as Alestorm, but that's just the magick of Zargothrax aka Christopher Bowes.
Yes, I love Alestorm too, and a half year ago, I listened Hootsforce and now I love Alestorm and Gloryhammer too!
Not much to say, but this was not just the first Gloryhammer Song i have ever heard, it also was the first Power Metal Song for me to listen to. Now it all seems gone, I dont know if this is a bit to emotional over "just" a band, but yes, i am really sad that they seperated. I doubt that anyone can replace Thomas, so I am not just gonna say Goodbye Thomas, but also Goodbye Gloryhammer.

It is...Check Star One - Space Metal album. It is a project by Ayreon. The first album(the second one is not as good) is a masterpiece in my opinion. It is based on multiple Sci-fi films and shows. And it features, like Ayreon, multiple Metal musicians, like Russell Allen from Symphony X or Floor Jansen...

It's fascinating how the villain here is operating with tropes normally associated with the hero: his ships are smaller and faster than those of his opponent. His fleet is outnumbered. He puts his ship into a mad dash through the heart of the enemy fleet, crippling his adversary's flagship. He loses his escorts, meaning that it's just him and his nemesis, a one-on-one duel. I think that's a detail not enough people pay attention to.

If you look at a map of Scotland, You will find Holy Lock near Dundee, the US Navy has a submarine base there.

I tried counting the number of ships on Angus' side and determine how many losses he had in this battle. At 1:34 I got to 43 ships, the largest I could count (if someone could count the ships in the second hyperspace scene that'd be great).
They are met by Zargothrax's three "Chaos" ships. They do battle. One of Zargothrax's ships goes up in a salvo of Hoots after its shields take a grueling hit.
2:16 one of Angus' submarines gets blown up. 2:21 I'm unsure if in the explosions that was a ship or just the shields taking a hit.
2:32 the second of Zargothrax's vessels blows up, its Chaos wizard keyboard player throwing up his hands in defeat. This ship was probably responsible for *at least* two submarine causalities.
2:39 the sole remaining Chaos vessel targets just Angus' ship.
2:47 looks like three submarines destroyed in the flyby over Angus' ship.
2:58 looks like another submarine, to the left of Agnus' ship, gone. 3:02 Angus' ship is heavily damaged.
3:45 Angus had enough and channeled the might of the Astral Hammer through his submarine, crippling the last Chaos vessel and sending it flying off into space, its power shutting off.
So, in conclusion. Angus' causalities are: 5 confirmed submarine losses, 8 if you add the assumed losses.
All things considered, that is pretty good. I discounted most of the explosions since there was no debris accompanying it, and they were likely the result of Hootsforce weaponry impacting Chaotic shields and vis versa. If you discount the singing and "dancing" in the video, Angus was prepared for the attack -- likely because I think he knew they would intercept him, given his probable destination was somewhere just outside of the solar system -- but was blindsided by the guitar and piano wizards in that one persistent Chaotic vessel who ignored all objectives to try and KILL him.
If anyone has a better analysis, please post it. I had fun doing this.

The subs they use look to be Ohio Class Nuclear Submarines with a crew of 140.
So 8 sub loses would mean 1120 loses + how ever many on the damaged ships.
I have no idea how to count the loses on Zargothrax's side so if anyone could find a good way to do that please do.
