    Using the o-ring pliers is brilliant. Made this a remarkably easy repair.

    A repair I need to do myself. You make it seem do-able even for someone like me. You've just given me the courage to actually have a go at it myself. But gosh Apple really doesn't want us to repair anything do they? :)

      exactly right! ... no user serviceable parts inside - Apple really want to keep you out, and if you get in, everything is potted in sticky glue!... bah!

      I don't know if you Guys watch Louis? Apple wants us all to only buy new products from them and not repair anything ua-cam.com/video/oNl2q6YZXlA/v-deo.html

    Where can I find how to put the plug area back together?

    • @DubiousEngineering
      @DubiousEngineering  Рік тому +1

      It goes back together the same way it came apart, it's a little fiddly, hope you got it sorted now

    Hiya. 60w model a1344.how can I fix my adapter that no longer charges and smells burnt. Can it be repaired? Thank you

    • @DubiousEngineering
      @DubiousEngineering  Рік тому +1

      If its burnt then components need replacing. Do you have a soldering iron and a multimeter / oscilloscope to check and test?

    • @maryo2620
      @maryo2620 Рік тому

      @@DubiousEngineering I have a multimeter but I don't know how to use it. And I'm a little afraid of electric current. I saw in a video that even after disconnecting the charger from the power socket, it still has electric current accumulated in the transformer. I solved the problem by buying another charger. Thank you.

    Ha, yeah great stuff... am I tuned into Big Clive or Louis Rossmann lol.. regards the Apple logo, if u import with the Apple logo on the product that it will get taken by Customs, something Louis and Jessa have had issues with iPhone screens.
    I also have now two Magsafe 2's to do, my latest one just broken, was thinking of doing a video and you beat me to it ha
