    Special thank you to @SeanieDew for all the advice on money-making in Stardew Valley!
    I'm finally ready to give it a go- PERFECTION in Stardew Valley. I've already played 200 days on this Stardew Valley farm, how long will it take me to do things like meet monster goals, build obelisks on the farm, and make 10 million g for the Golden Clock?

    Loved this! Big tip: don’t put wine in the casks, put gold quality cheese, it takes way less time to turn iridium cause it’s already gold and you can make lots of money while waiting for your kegs to make wine!

    • @Watch3rOfTheSkies
      @Watch3rOfTheSkies 7 місяців тому +9

      The casks are actually not very profitable in terms of gold per day, but it’s free money if you want to spend time on it. It can also be worth it to create iridium quality loved gifts for certain people, like goat cheese for Leah and Robin, mead for Pam and Willy, or beer for Pam and Shane.

    • @brrrread

    Another thing that makes it a lot easier to get a ton of wood is planting trees in the desert. They grow at the same rate and it saves space on your farms for crops. Floor 81 of the mines generally has a ton of fiber for making fertilizer.

  • @thelittlemanian3027
    @thelittlemanian3027 11 місяців тому +61

    tips for the future (if you ever do this again):
    Once you get woodchippers it is more efficient to just plant mahogony seeds with tree fertilizer and then shred the hardwood
    you get way more wood out of that than a normal tree farm
    you can (once you unlocked ginger island) buy the deluxe retaining soil and put it in your greenhouse so no tiles need to be taken up by sprinklers
    (works best with regrowable plants like blueberries or ancient fruit)
    Veggies will make you more money in the preserve jars as long as their seed-price is below 20g
    (true for some fruit too)
    villagers will always like crops you grew so you can get your friendship up early with cheap crops (parsnips especially are also a loved gift for Pam)
    the next best thing are chicken eggs (loved by Shawn)
    and early game food item, the energy bar you make with one seed each, is great for the early mines and since you also need wood you can take half of the seeds to plant and half for eating
    put a wicked statue in your chickencoop and slimehutch to avoid the witch from visiting you
    use the spa as soon as it opens up to maximise your output every day (it's better to pass out in the spa with a lot of rejuvinated energy than at home exhausted if it's late)
    ostrich eggs are great once they reach gold and iridium stage and even silver can fetch a good price but normal ostrich eggs are better off just sold as is
    hope this helps
    edit:
    forgot to mention
    Aging gold quality goat cheese will always make more money than aging wine
    it is aged faster and makes more money per day if compared

    • @herov2
      @herov2 11 місяців тому +1

      Can you explain more about the spa? Is there a mechanic where the more energy you have after being exhausted makes you wake up with more energy the next day? Cause if you mean exhausted as in sleeping at 2:00am idk what that has to do with it

    • @thelittlemanian3027
      @thelittlemanian3027 11 місяців тому +1

      @@herov2 that is precisely what I mean.
      If you go to bed after 12 your energy will not replenish the way it usually does, leaving you with little to nothing.
      If you go to the spar to bring your energy level up before that happens you will be better off the next day

    • @dragonx23123
      @dragonx23123 11 місяців тому +4

      Haha not always on the last point, ancient fruit and star fruit wine still make more money in casks than goat cheese

    • @brrrread
      @brrrread 5 місяців тому

      Nah it’s best to age Starfruit wine to iridium twice a year and sell goats cheese at gold quality
      GPD Starfruit wine: 56.25
      GPD Goats cheese: 40
      (assuming artisan)

    • @raeanna451
      @raeanna451 4 місяці тому +1

      I did not know the hard wood trick thanks for that 😊
      I like to fill up my whole entire basement with casks and age star fruit wine twice a year then break the casks you can just pick them up and use them again. Less busy work then so I can make gold in other ways. Instead of constantly refilling the casks with goat cheese. That's just my preference though.

    Onto um comment about the actual video content, gosh the sentiment of not trying to play Stardew Valley "super optimized" is so relatable. Whenever I watch Stardew Valley guide videos, the money is always so big that I can't even understand the number .w. I'm like, is there a point to that high a number of money? (I guess it looks like the point is the golden clock haha).
    I learned a lot from your video and from your interview with Seanie! It was so surprising how the pig profits didn't even compare to things like pale ale, I guess I really can just pick 1 of each animal or something so that I have a cute farm variety >w

    You can hold on to the crop seeds while you harvest so you can harvest and plant at the same time. starfruit and pineapple sell the best as wines. There are tiger slimes on your ginger island farm like on the left side, the ones with like stars on top of them will drop the hat. go on a lucky day and eat food and drinks with luck to add successful chances.

      @@JM-zo5me Because it was silly and harmless. A real "sociopathic prank" would be to pretend that you hit and killed someones dog and have them cry for hours before revealing the dog is actually alive and to say "it was just a prank bro", dismissing all emotional turmoil and harm done to the person. Giving misinformation about a farming sim and then revealing it was misinformation later is literally the most tame prank someone can pull.

      @@thelovelybunny9012 I feel like Liss actually got her feelings hurt - and that her trust was betrayed. A lot of people care a whole lot about things others shrug off as silly, so I’m not about to assume she was completely fine about being lied to. It’s easy to shrug off a cruel prank when you’re not the butt of the joke.

    In terms of just making money to buy the obelisks and golden clock, nothing beats the efficiency of having regrowing crops on Ginger Island and in the greenhouse, and kegging or jarring them. The best crop for this is ancient fruit, but pineapples and strawberries are decent too. Hops are very profitable, but require you to harvest and keg them every single day. Ancient fruit and pineapple regrow every 7 days, which is the perfect amount of time for last week’s batch of fruit to turn into wine. Strawberries regrow every 4 days, which lines up better with the processing time for preserve jars.
    My preference in the late game is to have money making methods that require the least amount of time and energy spent on them, so I can be doing other things like skull cavern dives, Qi quests, volcano dungeon runs, gift-giving sprees, etc. For that reason, I just work toward having multiple sheds full of kegs. I’ve found that 5 deluxe sheds full of kegs is enough to process all of the ancient fruit I can grow on Ginger island and in the greenhouse. I have to spend one day a week doing almost nothing but harvesting and kegging, but then the other 6 days are free for anything else I want.
