Good morning. I really like your videos, I learn a lot from them. I bought the Black Horse Viper 1.88m model, and I want to apply an automotive varnish to the fuselage to give it a glossy finish. The problem is that I'm afraid of applying the varnish and ruining the plastic that covered the fuselage.
I ask you, what brand or type of varnish you applied to the plane. Do you know if, when preparing the viper body for varnishing, it was necessary to sand the body for the varnish to adhere?
    Thanks

Thanks for the update. I have a Jetfan 120 that will run in 12S or 14S that needs a home. I wish this would start shipping again. Turbines-RC is showing May. It would be nice if MotionRC would stock them. Keep up the progress.

I know I've posed the question to James a couple of times on their Friday show and they keep saying the same noncommittal line however I think they will end up carrying the large l-39 that takes 120mm or turbine. My guess is probably late spring.
My Viper was ordered from turbine RC and the shipping cost has tripped! I think it's like $700 US now!!!

@@ghoustanable Yes shipping has gotten pretty bad. It might be cheaper to get it a seat on an airliner.

It is understandable and you have to reengineer the EDF install. Wish I could offer more help. The existing mounting tab could be moved without damaging the fuse? The hardest part is to not mess up the thrust line as well as mounting the thrust tube.

Hi mate. How are you getting along with this? Can i just confirm from the video that the oleos included in the kit have 10mm strut pins on the mains and (a little bit bigger) than 8mm for the nose? Incorrect drilling aside (pull-pull sucks on a good day lol), the struts themselves look pretty decent? Finally tracked down one of these and have it on the way, cant wait. Wojtek is a bad influence on us EDF guys lol.

Yes pull pull system is really oversensitive even with my nose wheel gyro. Work around solution that I'm trying is to put the nose wheel servo steering in a separate Channel and adjust the travel of that channel to minimize the overcorrecting travel issue. Another issue that I found is the springs that are in the struts are way too hard and as a consequence of that you don't get a lot of travel in the leg...work around is I ordered 10 mm springs from JP hobby both soft and hard and I will be testing to see which one is better. I'll also be putting together a video that illustrates another soft spot that I found with the struts. The main trailing link could pivot like casters in a hard turn on the ground and requires an additional screw to prevent that. Cheers
