I got a pair of those Hardy gloves and they work great for those cold and windy northeast days at the range.
Cant beat the price! Legit gloves for a cold windy day. I got caught slacking once in a 20 degree wind chill. Never again!
Nice... the glue gun is a great tip.
Consider sprayingbthe foam with Plasti-dip. Helps preven the foam from separating. Justspraybthe top of it so your placing the pistol in and out wont rip at the foam

Hey George! You can use any lock you want including TSA approved locks. I personally just use combination Masterlocks because I don't want to loose the keys. Truth is if someone wants in the case it wouldn't be very difficult. Make sure you buy a two pack because you have to lock every hole available for flying!

Why does everyone lay their guns flat? You can easily fit 4 guns maybe 5 in the 2800 definitely 4 with a few mags.
That's what I use the 3800 for. Fits four g19 size pistols, four extra mags, and roon for a can or w/e.
Is this too small for a g17?
The Apache 3800 will fit the G17 for sure, its 14"x13". These cases are great I highly recommend!
