    I really hope you see this comment. For the last several months I have been messing around with the different grips like Talons, skateboard tape, and hockey tape. With all the shooting and concealed carrying I do, I did not find a grip that both lasted quite a while and didn't eat up my skin and clothes. I turned to UA-cam to see what others were doing and found this video. I decided to give Element 26 a try, even though I was skeptical. I got it in the mail a few days ago and applied it to a Glock 19. From the initial feel of it, I really did not think it would beat the more aggressive grip textures because there was nothing notably special about it. Man was I wrong. I shot a few hundred rounds with it on a hot 93 degree Arkansas day and I did not feel my grip slipping as much as I have experienced with other grips. I decided to test it further. I went home and got four Glocks that all had different grips on them (Talon Pro, Talon Granulated, Hockey Tape, Element 26) and went to the kitchen sink. I got my hands equally full of slippery dish soap and applied my shooting grip to all of the guns, squeezing my hands tight and applying as much torque as I could. To my amazement, Element 26 did not make the gun slip or rotate at all, whereas I felt my hands slipping over the grip in the three other ones. I can't thank you enough and you're going to save me so much money as I'm pretty much sold on this grip. I will keep putting it to the test but so far I'm incredibly impressed. You have a new subscriber! Two questions: Do you apply any heat to the tape after putting it on, and do you stretch it tight as you apply it? It has stayed on well with the few hundred rounds so far but just wondering what you do. Thanks

    • @citizenresponse
      @citizenresponse  Рік тому +1

      I just stretch it tight while applying, and right after I put it on i grip the gun like I normally would for 20-30s to keep it in place. It frays at the edges every once in a while, I find myself replacing entirely ablut every 6 months. It’s so cheap compared to everything else it’s not a big deal

    I carry a P365X and went with the Wilson Combat grip module and it's the absolute best grip texture I've ever had on a pistol. I have zero need for any additional texture. I completely agree that the Glock texture is mediocre at best and needs all the help it can get. I'm definitely going to be looking into this grip tape for my Glocks! Your comment at the end of the video is fantastic and should really hit home with a lot of people, so many people these days are consumed with immediate and instant gratification and don't want to or can't put in the work it takes to follow through on anything. They want it all and they want it now, you must have the dedication and drive to build a solid foundation of faith, family and friendships to have a well-rounded life. Be present in your life and your relationships.

    Saw this video a week ago, and ordered those right away. Got 'em a couple days ago and love them. I have the M&P 2.0 with the heavily stippled grip. However, I've always put black athletic tape over the grip or else my shirts would be shredded (IWB carry). Athletic tape was "okay", but this stuff is great. It's thin enough so that you slightly feel the stipple (thus grip), but thick enough to protect clothes (or your skin if you don't wear an undershirt). Plus, the grip has a textured grip of its own. It also tears real easily--no scissors needed. Thanks!

We keep learning the hard way but I'm tapped out for a while. More important things to do including training instead of buying another gun that I don't need at the moment. Blessings to you. Thank you for your help and video. I have used Talons grips on my M&P for the front and sides I stipple the back palm swell for increased grip. With my Glock the grip is slippery and thin as said with hands especially my palms I had to get some BJJ finger tape.
    I going to try the tape mentioned cause the finger has short adhesive life.

    Do you have any tip on getting it to stick better. It sticks to the gun well but the end won’t stay stuck to itself and starts to come undone. Have you had this issue? Or has anyone else? Maybe it’s just bad rolls that didn’t get enough adhesive. Idk. Opinions greatly appreciated thanks

    Does the Element 26 leave much of a residue on the gun? I’ve been contemplating trying the Element 26 or Howie’s Pro Grip tape, which is used to wrap hockey sticks. I like the flexibility to add it and remove it easily. I also had a similar problem with the Talon Grips in that they started to slide on my gun during matches in July and August in the south. If you really want a secure grip while you’re shooting matches checkout ProGrip - Pro Grip Enhancer Lotion. It’ll leave a residue on the gun, but it cleans off easy enough, but if you rub a little bit on your palms and the back of your dominant hand, your grip will not move on the gun. I’ve used it for years.

    I tried it and everything you said was true BUT the stuff doesn't stick to itself very well, I can put it on and come back a couple hours later and the ends will keep coming unraveled . I had to heat it up with a heat gun then I went and got it wet a little bit and let it dry, now its staying on there not coming unraveled at the ends . I don't know if I'm going to buy it again we'll see.
    I don't shoot as much as you so the $20 grips might be better for me . But you're right the $20 is expensive.
