I'm so happy you are getting into track racing now. You won't ever leave it promise. I purely track racers now. No joke. You will finally get to feel the best of ffb also. Can't judge ffb to well on rally games. Right now your goal is to get steady laps get above 105% times and get your lfm license. So just practice. Also remember your apex matters! Your lines gain 10ths everywhere. Like the top guys are getting 1:22s at brands hatch or 2:16 and 2:15s at spa. Its insane lol
I kid you not, when I first played ACC I thought a 2:26 was a good time around Spa. Just to find out that aliens are doing 2:15. I was not sure whether to be disappointed on my time or surprised at the alien times. I’ll get my LFM license soon. But it seems unlikely that AC evo will just be a hardcore GT3 sim like ACC.
@darthsnape well actually gt evo will still be mained around track racing as explained by kunos. But he said they wanted to give people the option to come home from work jump on and just drive like an open world style just so thwy can enjoy it. They stated it's q00% a sim and its still focused like ac and ac evo. Now it won't only be gt3 but it will be mainly about track racing wether its road cars, gt3 cars etc. But the focus will still be more then not race cars aka gt style etc. Just now we can all get what we want more like ac with mods mixed in but now in the actual game itself. I think its amazing. But they stated acc will be supported for s much longer time. Even if no major updates it will be up and able to be played with support for a long time. So you will still see alot of league racing and alot of lfm etc. So no worries! Thats confirmed. Ac evo will be a very hardcore som but with like road car racing like the Mazda is in iracing. Also some open world stuff for just being able to feel good physics and enjoying the experience. Then you have all of the other hard-core stuff. But they gaurunteed us it will feel and be like ac and ac evo mixed with some gt7 style stuff but in an actual sim form. They said they would never sacrifice there physics or feel for any of that. If anything it's supposed to be even better with suspension and stuff. Put it to you this way. The details were so intense that they had to keep the ffb extra low at the event because makers of wheelbsses didn't have enough time to dial it all in and if they didn't the wheels went a bit crazy which is why they ended up having the dampening so high on so many wheels. So yeah that to me is a positive. I cannot wait to feel the finished product and I want crazy details and a wild ride. Idc about oscillations either just more details. If its to much we can adjust.
@darthsnape remember you also have titles like rfactor2 which is known for the best ffb of all sims. Then you have iracing which tbh the first 6 months of learning you mostly drive a Mazda style road car but god its some of the best door to door racing ever. People go back just to do that. Then you can buy and drive gt3 cars etc. All up to you. You have ams2 which is getting massive updates coming up. And other sims. They are all amazing to play man. Then you have OG ac which people jump on play download mods now that game feels so so so so good and so dense with ffb. Remember when it comes to track racing anywhere it's not just about racing people. Its fun to get on track play by yourself and just learn the tracks snd get faster and faster. That's what alot of us do alot of the time.
@@reviewforthetube6485 Ever since I got into ACC, I have literally stopped playing AC. I tried AMS2 yesterday after 20 days I think, with the expectation that it would feel a bit arcade-ish, but it didn't. Yeah it is a bit forgiving compared to ACC, but not too far off the scale. And with Reiza delivering gigantic updates and keeping the community healty and happy, I have no doubts it will be around for a while. Desperately waiting for the Lamborghini LMDH btw. Cannot wait!
I hit a plateau in ACC and it started to feel like a grind after six months of playing it exclusively. Currently playing WRC and RBR. It's been great. Getting into the flow state on a course you've never driven before is such a good feeling.
I am in the same position you are. When I started Sim racing, I wanted to do circuit racing but decided to start off with rally because I figured if I could do that, circuit racing would be a breeze. I fell in love with rally, which is crazy because I thought Americans only turned left🤣 I have a Iracing account but I end up only doing rallycross or dirt oval racing which came real natural to me cuz it's left turns on dirt😂. Every time I hop in my cockpit, ready to do some circuit racing, I always end up telling myself why race on Monza when I could be going sideways in Finland. Like you, I hope assetto Corsa Evo changes my mind. I really enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Haha sounds like you came to the same conclusion as me after finally racing humans online, lapping is about 20% of the challenge and the other 80% is all out psycholoical warfare 😂
I recently got DR2 and FH4 on steam sale. DR2 on controller felt like a nightmare. My first car was Lancia 037 and what I didn't know that all my assits where off, and let me tell you something you really need ABS on a controller because of the low brake travel distance. Overall it was fun, and I dream of getting a Sim Rig ASAP.
Yeah, DR2 is brutal. I used to play it with a controller and definitely needed some assist. When I eventually got the hang of it, I got a wheel. That thing was a nightmare. But now I have a lot of fun with the wheel. I hope you get a rig asap!
Great to see you branching out to try other disciplines. I do a bit of everything and each one has their own challenges (visible & hidden). I also think that each can have some side benefits to the other like being able to recover a slide or spin on road faster with the skills attained in rally. Conversely, knowing how to hug a tight line in a corner on road can sometimes transfer to rally where there is time to gain with less slide & rotation (ala Loeb). On top of that, the variety is worthwhile in keeping each one more fresh rather than fixating on a single area.
You’re absolutely right about the benefits of exploring different disciplines. And I thought it was about time I tried the sweets from the other side of the fence. ACC, ACC Evo, LMU, things are too good to ignore. I'm very tempted to try LMU as well.
@@darthsnape LMU is worth the time IMO. Compared to iRacing in particular, LMU is like 3D VR immersion vs 2D Monitor info. Both work and can be leveraged, but there is just more info available in LMU. LMU FFB is apparently on par with ACC and rF2 (as a parent in some ways), so might not be a total epiphany vs what you've already tried.

@@Chader9 I've heard the tyre model is worth a try. People have been saying that ever since it came out.
Is the simforge pedals with the vrs lite bundle a good pair?
Yeah, it’s a good pair.
