Hi Darth! Great review! Thanks for the shout out about the V1 vs Lites :) Your photography is looking really good! I can really see all the texture and design details of all the pedals your showed. And WOW! When you contrasted the Simforge vs VNM Lite, the pedal faces being flat laser cut steel vs curved and beveled CNC aluminium was jaw dropping. The VNM Lites have been in my studio so long I started to take their beauty for granted, but they truly are a lovely looking pedal set. I've said it many times, but the VNM Lites are the favourite pedals I've had in my studio so far, and that includes the big boi V1s - the Lites are just perfect. Also the spring/elastomer combo that comes standard with the Lites is perfect. I actually put that exact combo onto the V1s because i hate that soft spring preload effect - and the white elastomer-blue spring-red spring combo is just PERFECT. Anyways I loved the video, the presentation/photography is looking really good, I always learn something from your videos and I too would like to see what Simforge can do in 2024. May the downforce be with YOU 😊
Darth, stumbled across a vid of yours whilst searching for P1000 content. The entertainment and information that one provided led to your channel. This video led to a sub and a Q. Your ideally placed to be able to help out with a decision, so many thanks in advance if you'd be kind enough to give me your thoughts. UK based, only pedal set i've ever used, Simforge MK1. The improvement in competitors quality is welcome, I hope the Simforge guys are able to step up. At my budget for initial purchase, they stood out. I almost love my pedals, if they worked 100% of the time I'd not consider upgrading, but they don't. I've had 2 sets of the electronics each pedal is fitted with fail in roughly 1 year. I'm sat on my idle rig now whilst waiting for component's from India. The visuals in your P1000 vid give me a very clear understanding of the quality. Can you provide any info on the 'feel' between the 2. I appreciate aspects are subjective, but at least you've used both. Cheers and thanks for the content.
Thank you very much for the sub 😄 It goes a long way. Now to answer your question. Between Simforge and P1000s, I’d choose the latter every single day. Not because they’re expensive than Mk1s. But solely because the level of adjustability, the craftsmanship, and the ease of access while making adjustments alone puts those pedals a notch above for me. While I did enjoyed my time with Mk1s, I could not quite get the brake to my liking. I’m not sure why it happened but I spent a lot of time trying to get it right, but, I was unable to succeed. For the price, Mk1s are a solid option, but feel wise P1000s take the take. Since throttle and clutch are good mostly on all pedal sets, I’ll jump right onto the brakes as they are the most important. In P1000s, you have tiny bead shaped elastomers which offer better compression compared to cylindrical elastomers. And then you have P-ORP (more elastomers and springs) addon which further lets you tune the brake to your liking. You can make thousands of combinations whether be it elastomer+rubber, rubber only, then you have springs in the mix too. You get the point. The brakes on P1000s are really enjoyable and trail braking was significantly better with them. Since I am a rally person, I had a blast with it on rally titles. The compression, rebound, the brick feel, every single thing increased the immersion marginally. Despite it not being a hydraulic pedal, the feel was really up there alongside some of the best pedals in the market.
Excellent video! Never tried the VNM but I have the Simforge. I liked them (since moved on to other pedals), but had a tough time dialing in the brake to my liking. As pointed out in the video, the pedal faces on the Simforge are outstanding.
@@darthsnape I have spent a lot on pedals (too much). I went to Heusinkveld Ultimates which I really like, but the Simucube Active Pedal was too tempting. So I use that as my brake now, with the Ultimates for the accelerator and clutch. I also have the Invictas but the brake is so stiff. Since there is no g-force in sim racing to help apply the pressure, i felt a little disconnected from the car if that makes any sense.
@@darthsnape The Active Pedal is really nice. If you plan to pickup the Active Pedal, you can (imo) probably skip the Ultimates. The accelerator and clutch are nice, but it's probably not worth the extra cost just for those pedals. I think the VNM or even the Simforge would be good for that role.
Loadcells are great but the issues I have with them is the annoying aspect of them is they fail to capture 100% of the pressure applied without losing it to the elastomer and/or spring relaxing. Hall sensors seem to be better for sim racing specifically because of muscle memory where you can always rely on being precise constantly.
I haven't tried hall sensors only. P1000s have the option to choose between either load cell or hall sensor. I'll see if I like it any better. Thanks for the explanation. I might make a video on this.
@@darthsnape It's a good topic and I think the P2000 tried to solve it with their hydraulics. So the sim pedal manufacturers are aware of this problem too but only few want to address it.
i love my simforge pedals and i got the new ones they have extra springs and other stuff they keep updating them. i preorder mine and they called to see if i want the updated ones that can with more spring etc. 360 shipped for to usa for two pedal set. i tried the sprints at a micro center the face plates are too small fo rmy big feet it one of the reason i love the sim forge i get big feet lol great video
So carbin steel is usually less then aluminum and stainless steel is usually more. 😉. So these pedals make sense but with ehat vnm is offering it is kind of mind blowing how good the price is.
Also you shoupd try what i did with the p1000s. I ended up using an elastomer on the bottom instead of the spacer then a spring, a spacer a spring and a spacer. In that order and its perfect. Its a tighter fit the top cap will touch the spacer but its the best feel ive felt. Its so good. Adds a little squish at first like a real brake and then still feels progressive and very nice. @@darthsnape
@@reviewforthetube6485 That sound like a more progressive 2 stage braking feel. I'll definitely give it a try someday. My wife has fallen in love with P1000s and it has become her favorite set of pedal.
@darthsnape well tell her I get it! Because they are amazing 😉 I love my p1000s but believe me after testing the p2000s I almost wish I got them. The brake is the best stock brake ive ever felt and the throttle is the bedt throttle exactly like a gt4 throttle like pin point. But im very happy with my p1000s best pedals I've owned. Luckily the hydraulic upgrade can get it close but something about thode p2000s I hope you get to try them someday. Has exactly what you like with the preload feel and that liquid feel actually is there instead of like the p1000s were the hydraulic is harder to feel. So you get that realsitic car brake mush in there really really nice feeling almost like air mixed in like a real hydraulic feels in a car.
@@reviewforthetube6485 The P2000s are really pretty and I have been meaning to get my hands on them. I'll see if it will make an interesting topic to cover!

Hey Doc! Thanks a lot. I too was a bit surprised when I used the lites. I can safely say that they are one of the best budget options out there.

There’s some stuff going on with Cammus lately. More info on r/simracing (reddit). And HE sprints are my personal pedals, VNM lites were sent by VNM.

VNM lite pedals vs Cammus lc100 pedals? Which is better?
Haven’t tried Lc100, so can’t say which is better.
vnm lite have overall better reviews. i would go for the vnm
How did you get the Sprints delivered in india ?
I see that they deliver to India in their website, but did you have to pay additional import duty outside the delivery fees ?
Yes, I ordered directly from thrift website and had to pay import duty. Shipping was included in the price of pedals.
How much was the duty ?
@alphaq7707 about 40% of the price
Pedals are overpriced. 200$ is max, the rest is over-engineering (marketing).
Interesting. Do you have any recommendation for a pedal set around that price point?
