Texas Jalapeno Poppers are wrapped in Bacon, and baked.
The 7 Layer has varities: we add cooked ground beef in the bottom, refried beans, [sour cream/ guacamole/ salsa] are all optional. For those who can't handle the heat, we don't add salsa. For those watching their weight, we add a few dollops of sour cream on top. Finally we add chopped lettuce, tomatoes and a sprinkling of cheese.
Texans agree with Alesio: great BBQ doesn't need sauce.

Chopped onions and jalapeños improve the 7 layer dip. I had some last year for the first time with the extra onions and jalapeños sprinkled on top, and it is next level.

Jesse is correct about the beer. To properly pour a beer, you tilt the glass at a 45 degree angle and when the glass is half full, you start to turn the glass upright. You’ll get the perfect head of foam

I love love love these kinds of videos from you two! ❤️ While I ALWAYS want Alessio to be honest in his reviews, I am so thrilled to see that he enjoys so many of the classic Super Bowl foods! Some thoughts: 1. The seven-layer dip really needs the ‘scoop’ type chips; less messy IMO. 2. Jessie is right about the beer pour. 3. I personally prefer boneless BBQ wings dipped in BBQ sauce. 4. The other thing I like to have on Super Bowl Sunday is chili in the crockpot. Love how it can cook for hours and stay warm, and people can come as often as they like to get some. Love you both!! ❤️🌹

    • @cmeflywva
      @cmeflywva 13 годин тому

They really should have bought the scoops variety. I can’t stand thin chips with 7 layer, guacamole, or queso. I don’t drink alcohol so I’ll pass on that one. I prefer boneless wings with bleu cheese. Philly cheesesteaks are awesome, and if I’m at a party I wouldn’t like to try and eat ribs. The other options would be best. I hate pigs in a blanket and like jalapeños. Chili is a great idea because I put mine in a crockpot too.

Alessio is actually correct about the beer. I was a restaurant manager for 30 years. He is correct about all of the CO2 ending up in your stomach if you tilt the glass. One of my good friends is a beer cicerone and he is the one that taught me this.

  • @marlies7444

I'm from Germany and had worked in a pub there. You tilt the glass, less foam. Beverages have to fill to the correct line 0.2 or 0.4 liter. Foam does not count. Same with soda. If you order a small cola 0.2 liter but you want ice. We had to pour cola into small glass to fill line, add to a big glass and add ice. Now that was 40 years ago, not sure if they still operate on the same standards. Germans do not add ice to drinks back then. But we where near an airforce base and they wanted ice in their drinks.

born and raised in Kansas City here and a fellow Italian and I agree with Alessio, you need the gas in the bier to escape or all of the carbonation ends up in your stomach.
I would like to also add that BBQ in KC isn't what it used to be, though still one of the country's best there has been a recent influence of Oklahoma/Texas style BBQ and it has changed things a bit.

When I make wings, for superbowl or whenever, I like to marinade them in a spicy mixture like buffalo sauce, sriracha, vinegar, and chili powder or some mix, then slow smoke them on my grill with apple and cherry wood. Then you get a drier, smokier wing that is nice and crispy, and still spicy on its own, and make some sauces on the side.
Sauces: I like the traditional bleu cheese, but also homemade ranch dip, or a spicy buffalo honey BBQ combination - usually all 3 so people can choose.

Southern California foodies here: We make Korean chicken wings, corn fritters with pineapple salsa, and jicama slaw (Bobby Flay's recipe) for our Super Bowl party. Hubby also loves to make pork ribs if we have lots of people invited over to eat them. Ain't no hot dogs or burgers in my house for Super Bowl. Nope, nope, nope.

I'm from Wisconsin; the beer state and Jessi is right. You tilt the glass so it doesn't foam up so much. Also, if you ever come here you have to try the deep fried cheese curds. They are amazing!

6:11 We never made 7 layer dip, we did taco dip (also layered).
Cream cheese with taco seasoning mixed in, salsa, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, shredded cheddar cheese.

Jessie is correct regarding the foam. Your beer needs to have a good head and best way to pour it is to tilt the glass. I’ve had bar work experience. ❤

For US beers, tilt the glass (it's not a Guiness). Queso dip is so easy to make and better. Very few things will beat a good cheesesteak sandwich. I'll make at home adding sautéed mushrooms and provolone cheese. Cooking chicken tomorrow so I can make Buffalo chicken hot dip (using cream and blue cheese) for Sunday.

Buffalo wings are the quintessential food item of Bills Mafia! 🦬 ❤💙🏈 ALWAYS bone-in, served with creamy blue cheese. They can be found in every local pizzaria in upstate New York year round.
