I'd have this over a Lamborghini. This is my dream supercar.
Count me too bud
Yup same here at least you don't need to worry about it blowing up every time you put your foot down
@@toeputtsnz783 its a strong V6 tho so no need to worry
Same man. I would take this over any car ever. Makes me so sad I will probably never get a chance to drive let alone own one
@@popz4470 ye me too the NA1 is expensive..
I knew there was a reason I got out of bed this morning.
😂
No need. Watch YT in bed!
I don't know if it's because my life is a mess, but something about these perfect restorations fill my heart with joy, everything becomes so smooth, so clean, so pristine.
They made good looking cars. It's not just you. I feel good watching these videos as well. 🇲🇽 💯
Removing that aftermarket wiring harness alone was worth it.
What was it there for anyway?
@@UnfortunateLee think it was an aftermarket car alarm
I must be a minimalist because my take on car upgrades is taking things off to optimize weight ... best performance upgrade. Obviously would replace what I take off with lightweight components ... but adding more wires and compute devices is just more empty weight to add on.
They forgot the NSX-R decals on the rims. I know im nitpicking. Great car.
fyi the calipers were bare from the factory. you could strip the paint to achieve the correct finish.
Lmao
now the double layer of paint is gonna peel off from high temps at hard braking. great....
"dEtaiL"
@@elu5ive no because if they know anything about paint, they used high temperature resistant paint.
@@oftankoftan how would they know whether the diy layer that they painted over is temp resistant?
Pretty sure the NSX-R sticker on the rims are OEM.
Im no expert but this part of the video also puzzled me, I wouldnt think that anyone would add aftermarket stickers to the rims on an already pristine car
You're right, they removed part of its history lol
Correct, The R stickers on the wheels are OEM
Lol I'm here because i was going to say the same. Oof
Yeah this restoration wasn't what i expected. like someone else commented they just painted over the old calipers, didn't even strip off the old red paint.
The carporn at the end could've been straight out of Gran Turismo.
Wow that aftermarket alarm system was a mess! Great job!
awong160 there was also an Apexi VAFC that was in the wiring. It wasn’t all alarm harness.
This is not a car...this is pure ART.
Sad to know this car will most likely never be driven more than once every few months now.
true
Why do you care. At least it’s not a beat pos like most Hondas on the road
@@mperformance3502 stfu if u dont want to enjoy the car more often
@@mperformance3502 B16, B18, B20 aren't weak engines. Power to weight ratio is what Honda great in. American cars and drivers should slim down more often.
Yeah but for how long? Our grandkids will run across this car with 90K miles.. LOL
Where has this channel been all my life! This is like car resto ASMR! Beautiful NSX-R you guys have!
Amazing video! Pretty sure the NSX-R logos on the wheels are supposed to be there, but baked under the lacquer 👍🏻
I was thinking exactly the same...
You're thinking of the NA1 version which had the NSX-R logos on the wheel. I don't believe the NA2 had them and they did have a parts catalog for picture reference.
@@kabob21 Nope. Pretty much ever NA2-R has the NSX-R logos on the wheels. Look online for photos.
@@kabob21 The rims are supposed to have the logo. I actually bought nsx- r rims a few years ago and they had logos.
Damn I never thought I would ever got to see this in my lifetime, beautiful!!! Thanks gua for uploading such a cool video 😭
“ this all aluminium chassis had no rust whatsoever “ 😂😂😂 spoken like your average everyday car salesman 😅
😂😂😂
True, lol.
Rust is the term specifically used for the Iron and Steel. For other metals, it's corrosion and Aluminium has a special ability to oxidate and form a layer of protection above its own layer.
I was absolutely blown away with the wiring clean up. You guys are next level!
I love the work you guys do. Every car is finished to perfection.
I am Japanese.
I'm glad that you have treated the pride of Japanese cars with so much care.
they ruined the wheels and calipers idk what your talkin about man
What car are the people of Japan generally most proud of? This, GTR, Supra Rx7. For me the original NSX by some distance, but that's me.
Finally thanks for making longer vids😁
i still come back to this video every once in awhile
Thank you very much for looking after a piece of old Honda. The finish is absolutely a gem.
It perfect out of the box, you guys make it awsome 👍
watched from start to fin amazing job on the resto. one of my favourite cars...
This and the Mazda FD3S are my two top dream cars.... So cool you went through it and got rid of the rot and the bad wiring.
So good to see it back to full stock spec. My all time dream car.
These are the best restoration videos on UA-cam hands down!
this barely classifies as restoration, they merely cleaned it up and replaced a few pieces of trim.
@@gwot and destroyed set of wheels and calipers
“Spending a few days touching up the paint.”
🥵 💰 💰💰💰
Well. You can do this
Very good way to start my Sunday morning with a cup of coffee and a video about restoration of NSX-R. It is somehow calming and inspirational.
Im crying this car is so beutiful, you guys did an amzing job, im such a pureist when it comes to jdm cars
The attention to detail 🤯
Awesome work on an awesome car.👌🏾
truly impressive. i need a thorough AAA service like this near where i live.
Senna is smiling from heaven watching you guys do a restoration for this NSX-R. Great job guys!
Awesome video!. I am fully aware that my own NSX will never be that clean, and I'm ok with that. However it's very fun to imagine doing a money-no-object restoration like this. Kudos for the attention to detail, getting rid of that offensively complex alarm system, and generally doing right by a legendary car.
You could do it over time. This guy in my neighborhood inherited his dad's old Porsche. He doesn't have a lot of money, but he works on the car every weekend and has gotten it to the point where it at least looks great.
@@stillsearching1284 Definitely. That was the first ~3 years I owned the car (26 at the time), just doing stuff a piece at a time until 95% of everything looked decent and worked. Now the "problem" is that I rarely park it long enough to worry about the minutae. That said she's going to get some cosmetic attention soon.
OMG the parts bill must have been huge . But that was so satisfying to watch what a amazing job
superb work for all involved I wish I had that type of money to buy one 👍👍👍👍
Amazing job and even more satisfying to watch it all
This is pure art.. Im grateful for this kind of content! Cheers from Croatia
says “we’re super ocd with our restorations” proceeds to paint over the old paint on the calipers... proceeds to paint the wheels without even removing the tires... the rest was well done though. very nice.
yeah, I wash shocked as well.
So satisfying seeing such a great car getting this kind of love. My all time favourite machine. R.I.P Ayrton Senna!
I could watch this all day long...beautiful
So satisfying to watch! Such a perfect car, by far the best JDM creation to date.
With a design like that, I think 276hp is more than enough to reach over 160 mph.
Oh man! Aircooled 911’s and NSX-R’s, the absolute PERFECT cars ever made!!!i wish I could justify buying one of these!!! They’re just the perfect combination of weight, power, handling...perfect👍. And they’re just gorgeous 😍
日本の宝のようなクルマです。
ありがとう。
Watching this after I put together an Em1 from the shell up . So rewarding to step back and look at all the attention to detail that went into this NSX. Carhub for sure 👍
You guys did an awesome job. Just amazing. If any car is deserving of this sort of treatment, this one is.
I am really interested on the pricing for this service
God, I want work with guys in the future
Most satisfying detailing video EVER!
I am a late 90s kid and usually don't enjoy designs of older cars, but god I love every single detail of the original nsx
This is great, but the sticker on the wheels is oem, same goes for the calipers they shouldn’t have been painted. Oh well
Callipers we’re not red on the R.
when he drives through the water at the end of the video, i actually cried
Every little detail in this cars is amazing
This is so satisfying to watch, and thanks for taking good care of such an amazing car.
Most beautiful car ever made.🎌
All Honda had to do is bring it back exactly but with a high revving V-8 with full VTEC and a manual trans. They wouldn't be able to build them fast enough.
I know I'm not the only one who's typing with one hand.
What, you're an amputee?
@@tidjane2001 No, one hand is very busy at the moment. Blame the NSX not me
Lmao
I’d buy that for a dollar!
Phenomenal work. People with your work ethic is hard to find. Kudos!
Beautiful work!! This was so satisfying to watch.
Me:
Before watching: Is that a diecast model?
After watching: My diecast model is just like the real one! 😁
Cringing while i watch the calipers and wheels being painted. Half ass job 🧐
For real, they should just stick to restoring
what were they supposed to do? Just curious
Devon Hardinger sand blast old paint, powder coat the calipers and do a similar job with wheels.
@@schmeckoh they shouldn't have even touched the wheels. Just replaced the callipers with brand new units...
that confused me too. the red paint looked like fucking spraypaint, and they just painted over it lol
Can't believe how professional you guys are. I'd dream of you doing this to my R230.
I love how the effort of love is put there
I wonder how much this would go for in today’s market
100k
$250k+
I saw some going for 400K
@@lex4lyfe870 well, NA2 Type-R is one of the best sports cars in the world in terms of specialness and driving feel. I'd definitely buy one if I could.
@@lex4lyfe870 and...it's also my favourite car 😁
If that car needed a restoration, my car needs a burial.
🤣
That's my dream car right there. Perfect looks. Just the right amount of power. Simple but beautiful interior.
My car is nothing special but I want this deep a detail every month now! This was beyond satisfying to watch.
We're super OCD people...
Sprays over the top of poorly painted red caliper paint, doesn't bother to dismantle them and strip the shitty paint.
This must of cost a lot of money for OEM parts haha. I spent over $8K on my NSX with 28k miles and still have more I wanna replace...
I can't believe these ppl don't have many more subscribers. These guys are frickin legends
Finally! I was waiting for another video!
4:10 Shame of JPN....Honestly I want this car to come back to JPN.
So I can appreciate the meticulous detailing on the interior and was floored by the thread cutting to make sure the seats were better than new but.....
That being said, I could not stop rolling on the floor laughing at the “spray painted” wheels and calipers. Like you go through the trouble of not only acquiring but refurbishing one of the rarest of Hondas. You stress how rare it is in the video for anyone that doesn’t have a clue but you spray painted the wheels and calipers! They are no better than the finish you made fun of only to refinishing them just as poorly. I hope that whoever gets this car takes the time to remove the tires so that the calipers and wheels can get a proper powder coating that will be as close to OEM as possible before the spray paint starts flaking and baking off.
Beautiful car and congrats on securing it but you missed the mark on the wheels and calipers. You could have taxed an extra 2K+ on the price to have taken the time to do it right.
2.5 of 5 stars for short cutting on the wheels and calipers.
Exactly what I thought when I watching up to that point. The calipers doesn't seem like even got it sanded down prior to the paint job, and no primer applied. I'm worry that's not even a high heat resistant paint. Wheels should have got the tyres off to be paint fully, again, no proper prep before the paint.
when i saw them just spraypaint over the calipers i couldnt belive it! no sandblasting and powdercoating wtf?
Is this the hater section?
z32luvr not hate mate just something that stood out to me as I’ve recently had my wheels and callipers done and if the workshop repairing them just sprayed them, I would have been pissed !
Arm Ng Arm no they don’t. They powder coat from the factory.
Surreal attention to detail, superb maintenance, a world class standar
Amazing job as always
UA-cam doesn't ban a porn anymore?
pls don´t call this a restoration!
Just found this Channel . Love it great work guys !! Attention to detail is Super. That Nsx is a Real life Unicorn ❤
That's some DEEP cleaning. Awesome work!
What a great job you guys did, gorgeous car
One of the best restoration youtube channel so satisfying
Love these videos, you guys are amazing! The day I get my Supra it will be with you guys!!!
i love how gentle you guys were when you were removing parts 👍👍👍
Excellent work, fellas. What a stunning example of a JDM monster.
Wow! I am speechless. Amazing car, amazing restoration.
Finally u guys listened for longer videos
Incredible video guys!
Wow, this is so fantastic and inspiring! Video production quality is top notch.
Driving over all that sitting water at the end of the video got my ocd kicking in especially after that thorough underbody clean. Then I remind myself it’s a car that must be enjoyed and breathe a sigh of relief. Thanks for making these videos longer. Honestly you could make them longer and I’d still watch as I’m sure there’s lots that didn’t make the cut.
The attention to detail is amazing
Your videos are absolutely fascinating..thank you.
Efford less driving with this baby... an amazing car well balance on the weight... loveing it!!
This channel and especially this vid deserve more views. Damn your content is lit
seeing this type of stuff encourages me to work harder.
Wow beautiful job there's my dream car right there, that wiring you took out was ridiculous it looks like the back of my home stereo stack.respect from the uk🤣👍
Excellent, really enjoy these, keep up the good work and the vids
Love the vids!!! This one and the s2000 are my favorite! Thanks for sharing 👍
Finally I found a video showing people who care to a level above my level of standards. There are few excellent companies that I've come across. Maybe I'm just around the wrong people. Great work guys
Nice video, pleasing to see things being taken to this level. There's a red NSX-R for sale at a dealership near my house. I've always known about the NSX, I didn't know there was an R version of it, until recently.
I super admire these two gents for restoring luxury vehicles
That is absolutely stunning!! Timeless design! You’d have to put new shoes on every time to drive it!
This channel is ELITE
your work is simply stunning. keep it up.
