Excellent Video. Thanks for putting this together. That super long boot time is good to know about. I'd be wondering what the heck did I do wrong..

I hope you are still monitoring this UA-cam channel. I have an ASUS vivobook Model F542UA DH-71. I think I have had it about 4 or 5 yrs. It got to running really slow. It would take 10 minutes to startup fully. It came with 8gb ram. I replaced to orinal ram with new 8gb ram The laptop started like new again and so I bought another one and installed it in the 2nd slot. It was hard to tell but I think it ran just a tad more faster with the added 8gb ram. ASUS vivobook ran good for about a few weeks and started the routine of running slow again. I have been swapping the new ram out from 16gb back to the old 8gb ram that took out. I put the old back in however I got confused and I'm not sure which is slot #1 or slot #2 now. I don't know it that matters. Anyway, no matter which slot I use when installing even just one of the ram boards it doesn't make a different. So at this point I don't know if the 2 new 8gb rams are bad or it the factory installed windows 10 home is somehow corrupt. Once the laptop is finally booted after 10 mintues I can get on the internet as usual and it seems to work ok. It's just that it is really slow booting up. I don't know if I should by another 8gb ram and try it or by a ssd and clone it to the installed windows 10. How can I tell if windows is still ok, or not or the ssd is making it run slow?

I want to thank you that was straightforward, thank you, my question: Asus vivobook will I be able to buy a N7600 11th gen 1t, 32gb upgrade the SSD t o2Tb, and the memory can not be upgraded? I love to get the N7601 that is not out with no date set. thank you for any advice you can offer. FISH ((LIKED))

Hi. Thx. The memory at 32GB is it I believe on that model. 2TB SSD is certainly doable. Dale

Yes Mike nice video the only problem I can see is that the initial RAM is soldered into the board and if that goes belly up then the whole motherboard (and hence the machine) is dead in the water unless one is clever enough to replace the initial RAM chips??

If you do not mind what 2Tb SSD would be the same for this laptop, I checked on crucial.

Would an SSD NVMe be compatible with my ASUS Vivo S510u ? I have one slot available and want to get the fastest speed possible.

does that samsung cloning software only work with samsung drives or will it work with other brands of nvme drives?
