Good review man, Been watching the grasshopper and this is the first motored review I've come across. Independence doesn't advertise it as a motor glider so I've been waiting for someone to take one for a ride and review it. Love the single skins for ease of kiting, they make for great trainers. Might consider one ! Give us more.

Interesting to see a single surface wing over a PPG, thank you. Flown most of the SSWs over the last 5 years and your comments are spot on. A doddle to launch in nil to low winds but quite a snatch over 8mph so do some ground handling. Yes they need good speed on approach as the flare is as you showed, a bit of a dunk landing. They are noticeably slower than a "normal ppg" hence the good cruise in light winds. Other PPGs have tried the Apco Hybrid which is a mixture of single and double surface. As you say it is different with pluses and minuses. Be interesting to see more and hear your thoughtful comments.
I have a few grasshoppers for my school and there so easy to use,I flew one on my paramotor a couple of years ago and it went ace, I actually have a couple for sale.
It’s not the future, it’s the past, we are rediscovering the past, the Germans circa 1940 really designed the first paragliders, I use the term somewhat liberally. The Germans were designing a parachute, their designs were the inspiration for Rogallo. If you look at the Irwin “Wing” from the 1960s, that was derivative. I don’t think it’s the future, I think inflated ribs ( like kite surfing wings) and carbon fibre stiffeners are, for long, long wings with short cord and a glide ratio better than a hang glider and approaching competition gliders.
Well ... Where I live I don't call that 'very little wind'. I can reverse launch my ancient BuzzZ3 in a wind like that though I would take some running to get airborne.

World's first fully single skin glider was a Ozone Xxlite from 2012

One of those new gliders, and one of the new electric paramotors, you train me?
Is this glider designed for powered flight? I don’t think it is.
How is this the first? There have been tons of single skin gliders?
These wings are amazing. You’re a little light in the 28m, that’s why the brakes are mushy. Review the 20m ;)

Paramotor? Engine size and weight? Thx
Im sure v-king all ready do a single skin glider for paramotors an paragliding
It kites well.
Wonder how they compare in price to regular wings or kiting wings? Thanks for posting

Is the glider a EN A rated, is meant for PG and you are just using it for PPG? Does the glider have trims or reflex built-in?
It can’t have reflex because, long story short, reflex needs internal pressure to work.
If you're going to give a review at least know the weight....

Defo not a worlds first i know a couple of people who have gave the v-king glider an have been flying since last year
