I have a niece who was just like Hanna, she was 1% of 1% grade in the whole USA an got a handwritten letter from the President. She is now a Doctor. I'm so impressed with Filipino children with there learning!!!

Good luck with your move. I’ve read that inter-island moves can be a huge pain in the neck. Mostly because there isn’t just companies that handle everything from the origin to destination. So by the time your household goods get to the new place, they’ll likely be handled by 3 or more companies and it opens up the possibility of mistakes being made.
I wish you guys a smooth transition to moving to the Province.
I know Samantha likes to play in the water. She never got out of the pool at my birthday party last August. I mentioned to Brian when I first heard about the move about Hannah’s continued education. It will be good for her to stay in Angeles for that purpose. My daughter went to college on her own at 17 and never lived at home with us ever since. She’s lived in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and Baltimore for her job and does perfectly well. She’s 37 years old now!
Philly, thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for Bing and Ling to do a cooking show in the province. B2 needs a haircut and Rocky needs to rest for all the lizards and chickens he will be dealing with. Be safe.

For the people badmouthing the idea of Hannah Grace staying there with people you know, they have no idea of how the culture is in the Philippines. Ive been with my wife, a filipina from the province, since 2012. I know so many families for one reason or another that had to take care of other children like their own. Its a great thing to be able to do that, and to be able to trust another family to care for a kid, big or small, when families either move, as a ofw, or because of the death of parents. I know several teens from mindoro that went and stayed in manilla to go to school, males and females.
Yes, it's quite common in the Philippines. Even my wife thought about adopting one of her school age relatives who is still living with her/his parents in the Philippines.
Yes, it's the culture. To have a dozen kids that you are incapable of feeding, clothing, and educating. This Catholic-based society encourages childbirth, but there is no government or church support structure to help families. That is where other family members and friends often step in. Please don't even try to tell us this type of societal living is a preferred way to live. No thank you.
Always good too see someone from Philadelphia Pennsylvania , was in the P.I. in 2023. Going back in 2025.
I'm sure there will be times that Hannah will go visit you and times that you will go back to Angeles City to visit her then Bing can go with you and see her friends. So hopefully it's not a goodbye forever for her friends there. I'm sure that being near the ocean will be great and that life will be less stressful for you all. Hope that you all have a great time in your new home. Have a safe trip.

I bet Lut and Hannah will miss each other. I Agree with with you Brian. Hannah seems to be Mature and will do the right things. That is how I view here from following you all for a long time. I see the Province as being less crowded and more relaxing. Looking forward to seeing the House Remodel in the Province.
😢😢Lot I feel you pain ,But as Brian said it happens here in the West, My son and daughter after HS graduation went to away to University, she will adapt,and you will be l calling her all time.
How can people not see what a great job you two have done raising those girls and think you would just abandon HG to someone you didn't really know? People can be so stupid. I know you will all miss each other, but she is building her future, and I know it will be a good one. I'm looking forward to see what you will show us on videos down there.

Hanna is a big girl and very smart. She will be okay.
Concerning your A/C, something quick and easy to check, if the water drain line on the evaporator is clogged the compressor will shut off.
It makes total sense for Hannah to stay in Manila, the education opportunity there will be much better than Siargao, especially with the scholarship. She can always visit during holidays and summer break. Video calls via WhatsApp and messenger will keep the family connected.

Lot has beautiful hair. My Wife used to have long beautiful hair also but as she gets older she wanted to cut it shorter and I'm okay with that. Sorry about the A/C problem but being a strong family you will be alright for the big move. Stay well Brian and Lot!!!

That unit is probably clogged. I have three of them and hate em.
Every few weeks I have to power wash the outdoor unit clogged with soot from all the fires here. The indoor unit is the same, clog with dirt and mold. The drain hose fills and clogs with a bacteria slime that backs up and starts leaking over the TV.
Central air is superior to these dog mini splits. We do not open windows either.

couple men and a truck do exist for the right bling haha . my main aircon went down do to a lizard frying the mother board down a month waiting to get a new one thank god we too have a separate unit in the bed room or i would have melted hahaha. iwould think the kids will adapt just fine the real question is how well you will adapt.
