Angeles City Philippines
About me : Retired American Expat Brian & Filipina wife Luisa, living in the Angeles City / Clark Pampanga Philippines.
Thanks for sharing. I was stationed at Clark Air Base in the 1970s and again in the 1980s. My wife and I completed our most recent trip to the Philippines on December 13, 2023 when we departed from the Clark Airport.
Thanks for the fun ride Brian! It's a nice change up and is informative.
Glad you liked it!
Hope you and family well, brought so much happiness your family share, just a love always to you guys
*Thx for share beautiful cruise around Clark Philly* 👍🇺🇲
Clark was my first duty ststion from '85-'89. Thanks for showing us around, things sure look a lot different now. Many great memories from there plus I served with so many outstanding folks.
Yea my first duty station also from 70-74 and visiting again in the late 70s from Okinawa. Never traveled in any of those areas since most of those places were jungle and family housing I lived down the street from the Airman's Club or down town....lol worked at the Elephant Cage good times even got married there just before I left in 74. cheers.... :)
@@leonard5606 Yeah I've passed through Okinawa a couple of times and Guam also.
We overlapped our time at Clark. 88-90 for me. Also my first, wanted to stay forever.
@@SlapshotSamurai yes, it was a very unique place.
@@sgt.bulldog4147 '85-'89 that was the time when there was still a lewd show on fields avenue now it's gone.
Great video very interesting a beautiful place if you are chinese or Korean with plenty of money the rich get richer philippines still the same 😎👍🇦🇺🇵🇭
Almost - you should know the money invested meant many new job opportunities for the locals. The middle class there has benifitted mightily and are spending their earnings in the many malls there. Things got much better recently.
Thanks for sharing
Very beautiful ride today, thank you for the updates , Be safe n stay safe , God bless.
Great to see you out on urr scooter i like seeing a diferent view ive got a mio 125 its brilliant no gearchange over there is so good becouse off the traffic stop start ivehad it about 9 yearsbrought it to have tra sport when we would go there for our holidays we brought our placd in 2014 i think didnt retire till 2018
Tahoooo... Tahoooo....!!!
Baaa.. luuut.... Baaa.. luuut....!!!
Thanks for a day in Angeles City!!!
My dad was in the Air Force and stationed there. so I was there before mt pinatubo. The base housing was nice and was at the elementary school short lived memories but plan to return.
Very good video Brian ,I really enjoyed that motorbike trip around Clarke , thank you .
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid of Clark
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Brian, thanks for the motovlog…it’s something different. Clark is so clean and completely different from Trashing Street 😂 like night and day. Stay safe my friend!
Clark sure is cleaner and different than Walking Street.
Great video, I didn't want it to end.
Maybe if more people tell Brian that Clark can be more interesting than the Stale old, over-presented walking street, ...then maybe he might find new adventure there for his vlog content?? (or not ;)
@qawwss2000: I agree, some slow-speed cruises around Clark and the back roads surrounding Clark. Maybe take us for a go-cart ride at the speedway. I think we could come up with the 30 bucks for his 15-minute ride. Then hunt down a cobra just for the views. The dead eyes on walking street don't interest me. How about a few tours of some of the 28k-55K Peso furnished rental condos in the free port zone?
Mabuhay Philly ... great vedio 😎👍
Marched on the parade field in 68 or 69
Was there about 68-69 worked Air Police, worked mostly Town Patrol.Great memories.
Excellent video Philly great ride and rant and the attractions and views of the surrounding countryside were beautiful. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 😎✌🏻🇬🇧
Great video, Philly. That is the type of stuff I always enjoy. Clark does indeed seem a world away and I would love to visit that area.
Thank you Phil, What a beautiful place now, Good job, take care
As always, thanks sir for the update.
Royce is nice inside also. Was there in June.
That was weird, the green cart had a San Antinio Tx area code as the phone number..
Have you ever gone to Camp O'Donnel, thats were is was stationed for 2 years. and also at Crow Vally gunnery range for fighter jets.
Hello Brian. Thank you for all the the information you share about the hospital and your experience living in the Philippines. God bless you and your beautiful family. From Kuya Bear 🐻🙏♥️🌹😇
I love ur motorbike vids; not many do that. The downside of moving, as a " Giant Superstar"😂 you'll be putting the next place.."on the map too! "And we'll all be follow you.
Enjoyable video great thank you
Thanks for watching
Reminds me of the 17 mile drive at Pebble Beach/Carmel, CA. Nice work Brian!
Very nice video Brian alot nice places thanks for sharing take care
Glad you enjoyed it
I rented a nice house back in 2012 on Clark Base. It was a remodeled officer housing past the parade grounds. I understand they are now selling some for a reasonable price bur only comes with a 20 year lease.
We had nice meal in a old house .At the Half way point of the parade ground. Enjoyed the vlog.
I have rented villas in Fontana before. It was 10 or more years ago, but the houses were nice on the inside. We also used the water park when it was open
Hey Brian, Love the Moto vlogs! Nice to see other areas than walking street.
Glad you like them!
Looks nice.
I enjoy every videos you Brian
I appreciate that
Great Video
Thanks!
Hey Brain, I enjoy most of your videos, not the live ones, never watch them (FYI), but the ones under 25 or less minutes, I enjoy them. Just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing 🙏👍
Glad to see the Moto-Vlog is back, enjoyed it. A nice selection of places visited. Do you ever get a new front fender for you bike. Also, replace that rusted screw on your mirror mount.
THE OLD BAR AREA'S WHAT IS THERE NOW. Years ago there was 100's of bars in an area off walking street. But I can not remember exactly where, I've had too many sleeps since those days 33 years ago. Those guys spent hundreds of thousands of Pesos to buy a bar back in the day--now their cash is gone down the tube, deposits down the drain..
33 years ago there was a lewd show on fields avenue now its gone
I would have in 1975 told you to put the Red Horse down if you had suggested that the base and surrounding area would be what it is today, amazing "Everything Must Change Nothing Stays The Same"
Nice golf course area yes.
Thanks for the tour, I need to make my way over to that area eventually and do a better observation. I live at the base of Mt Arayat so it is a bit of a distance but I'm sure it will be worth the drive PLUS I am a huge golfer, so I need to check out that course you highlighted. I did have tea at the Hilton Hotel with a friend about two weeks ago but didn't check out all the other areas you visited. I remember when we when through the checkpoint you got inspected that they had the K9 and did a thorough vehicle inspection before allowing us into the Hilton Hotel. Clark Air Base must have been the Jewel of the Pacific back in its heyday. Just absolutely love the wide tree covered streets.
❤❤❤👍👍👍
👍👍👍
was all this area covered with ash during the mount penutobo eruption? wonder how long it took to clean up.
I ride motorcycles here in the states, how did u get your license in Philippines?
Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) died today at age 76.
That is a wonderful place and neighborhood. It would be great if more rural areas in the Philippines were like that. Do you know how much you need to live in that area per month?
1000 usd
just live, add more for booze and hoes
When you were on Fontana, you should of showed the Olympic pool (50m) that is open for use. For $1,800 php, you can get a 10 swim pass. On rare occasions during the week it is used by a swim club and some expats but it is the largest pool in AC that you get a pass to swim in. I really like making the trek up there several times a week to do lap swim.....great Moto vlog...
That hot springs, pool complex is crazy big! How in the world can they stay in business? I'll check into that 10-swim pass, thanks!
@@qawwss2000 the place is falling into disrepair. When you go to the pool area, look at that the 2nd floor rooms facing the pool. The roof has caved in those rooms and they don’t seem to be doing anything to fix them….I am just happy to be able to swim in a monster size pool and have it mostly to myself….enjoy your swim….👍👍
Are there brownouts in Clark?
I'm sure there may be a few.
🇵🇭😎🇵🇭
If you want to know what everything used to be, back in the day, ask the cab n trike drivers.
Hi, I live in Davao and looking to move to the Clark area. Any recommendations on a non flood area? I notice a cheap area named Mexico do you know if it’s good? Thanks
Sorry I don't know anything about Mexico.
@@PhillyinthePhilippines ok thanks phil. What do you recommend to rent for a family of four
@@malcolmsamuel7918 Are there many places in Davao that are prone to floods?
@@stanley186 yes, and doing some a little research on the Clark area so far there’s two area I need to avoid along with the southern part which is sinking. Looking for someplace long term. Don’t want during my stay to be in water and damage to my stuff
@@malcolmsamuel7918 thank you sir and about mexico others say it's cheap in mexico but the floods are frequent I don't know if it's true or just a rumor and sir the reason why you're leaving davao is because of the floods?
If you run out of material to video about, I would be interested in your choice of scooter and why? Did you get a chance to ride others and compare? Are you happy with what you have now?
Brian, when I was stationed in Viet Nam in 1969, I was an MP & worked along side with the Philcav - are they still activated ?
I do not know the answer to your question.
You know I always watch your videos, but as a motovlogger myself, I really like watching your motovlogs of your area. So they are not going to let you inside to continue to film the improvements anymore? That would be a shame, it was nice watching it get fixed up. That area did look really clean, but I bet living there is more than most Filipinos could afford. Getting bit by a Cobra would NOT be worth getting a video for, smart move on your part. But, you know how people can be, if you don't go in, you will have idiots calling you a chicken, etc. If you go in and get bit by a venomous snake, like a Cobra, they will call you stupid for risking your life for a video. Don't be concerned about those idiots, they will never be pleased unless they are griping about something.
How many coin opperated self serve car washes are by you? You pull in and get a brush on a hose with the soap and sprayer power wash hose also?
All car wash places I go to have guys hand washing the car. No coin operating machines.
@@PhillyinthePhilippines there may be a business opportunity in that .. 24 hour a day self serve car wash. Just like here.. Vacuum also coin operated. Maybe in Makati or other nice areas
So much better than Philadelphia!
since you are leaving can you please show me the owner of your house info I would like to by it
The house is not for sale.
Wagner is for high school, not for elementary school.
I stand corrected. However I thought Wagner was the middle school.
They looking for that coke I got
You said the price for 1 adult is Five Thousand Nine hundred Ninety nine, then said it was 600 peso? hmmm are you confused?
Thanks for clearing that up
Fontana that is where the criminals live.
The right lane in this country is for jeeps, trikes and scooters.
Car will be ticketed.
The right lane is for all vehicles and the left should only be used for overtaking.
