    I've been thinking about this exact topic lately and echoed the same words in my head. Many of them at your local gym are very knowledgeable but too many of them are definitely not. I have a friend that competes and NEVER tracks his calories. He doesn't need to. He just tracks protein (vaguely) and goes by how he looks and adjusts from there. They play by an entirely different set of rules.

      You can do that as a natural too. They really don't play by a different set of rules they gain muscle faster and they recover faster. That's it ..

      It's all of the time and energy in years he has spent dieting and learning his body that allows him to do this. Not the drugs ..

    • @vincewarren1271
      @vincewarren1271 Місяць тому

      @@paulcox2447 no that isn't it. Their diets are much more flexible. I've known em my whole life. When he's off cycle he has to be much more diligent with his training and nutrition. And they're technically never off cycle, they're just cruising at a lower dose. My brother also juiced for 17 years. He would have abs and calves year round on some of the poorest nutrition I'd ever seen. He'd brag about it. When he was force to stop over cardiovascular conditions, his body changed dramatically until he was able to hop back on gear at a low dose. He kept the same diet and cut over 20 pounds of fat in 5 weeks. His training nor his nutrition is nothing special. He never went super hard either. Good genetics in response to PED's. The stuff is powerful.

      It's really only going to add so much a few pounds at most. The study you may be referring to added 7 lbs at the high end but that's misleading. Only a few will get that much and on top of that it's not pure muscle. Much of it was likely water weight.

    The only advice they're qualified to give is dosage and frequency of injections

    Agreed! Size doesn’t matter because genetics and drugs. Some people are so blessed genetically that they still are jacked even doing subpar training technique. Disagree about the shredded part though, gear doesn’t make you shredded that still revolves around controlling your macros properly and cutting down the body fat.

    • @PlayerSkillFTW
      @PlayerSkillFTW Місяць тому

      Supraphysiological levels of Testosterone helps stave off the accumulation of body fat.
      Plus it's a lot easier staying shredded while on steroids, due to being shredded not affecting exogenous Testosterone and therefore still having high energy levels, while Natties have their natural Testosterone levels tank when shredded, and therefore feel depleted.
      The higher muscle mass from steroids also increases their BMR. Plus steroid users tend to abuse other drugs like Clenbuterol to raise their BMR even further.
      In short, steroids make it much easier for someone to get and stay shredded.

      @@PlayerSkillFTW most naturals are going to be stupidly lean before their test production tanks in any meaningful way. So I guess it depends what you consider “shredded”. Clenbuterol isn’t a steroid so it’s pointless to conflate the two, some use it some don’t it isn’t relevant to the argument on gear helping you stay lean and it isn’t sustainable. Also if you look up how many calories muscle burns on average daily it’s actually not as much as you’d think. Muscle burns 4.5 - 7 calories per day at rest, fat 2. You hop on gear and gain 20 pounds of muscle you’ve raised your RMR at BEST by 140 calories per day, potentially less. In short while steroids make a difference for getting shredded it’s not as significant as you think and the mechanism for weight loss doesn’t change while on gear it still goes back to calorie deficit.
      It might make staying shredded more sustainable if you’re talking sub 10% from the perspective of maintaining stable hormone levels, but the number 1 limiting factor that determines whether most people natural or on gear can stay shredded is appetite. Which isn’t something that gear will change, some people genetically have higher ghrelin signaling which will make it substantially harder to stay and get shredded. Other people walk around 8% body fat almost year round and don’t find it very challenging .

    This is my issue with Sam Sulek, I like this content but whenever he talks about splits and training frequency, he really should put a disclaimer before and after that it only applies to him because he is enhanced. The intensity and frequency in which he trains, would tank a natural lifter's gains. Thankfully and sadly, people will grow despite their ignorance if they have consistency but that also leads to a ton of misinformation in the topic of intensity and frequency.

    Is that tricep exercise shown in the vid a bad exercise??

    • @Swatotastic
      @Swatotastic Місяць тому +1

      It's not good because there is pretty much no tension for the bottom and middle part of the movement (when your elbow is at that L shape and before it's fully straightened out) and then suddenly there is max tension when the arm is nearly straight. You typically want as much tension as possible through the entire motion, not just at the end.

    This is the most common misconception of nattys who think they know everything. You can take all the gear you want, if your training, diet, genetics and lifestyle aren't together you won't make it. Nattys assume people on gear take tons of shit because they have no firsthand knowledge on drugs and how they work. This guys whole thing is to discredit any and everyone with a name when he himself isn't physically impressive at all.
