I made an error in the scoring in the app responsiveness section and added 3 points to Ring instead to Arlo. The final score should be Ring - 26 and Arlo - 24. It didn’t change the ranking. Sorry about that.
Somebody is sctraching mine and my moms car bro ... Yesterday I bought 3 of the Ring Stick up Cameras to help find out who it is .. I hope they work well
You are quite literally THE most comprehensive tech reviewer with the best format of delivery we’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Simply impressive and so very much appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together for your viewers and loyal subscribers.
@@nicoletennant3117 I'm guessing this question is directed @LifeHackster but, in my opinion, I didn't like how much of the angle was lost with the spotlight cam compared to the Gen 3 Stickup cam.
One of my big issues currently is the security systems giving your data directly to local police stations. I know ring does this, and others as well. My security system is for me, not the cops, if I want to show them something I will, but I'm not installing spy cameras for them on my own property under the guise of home security.
@@sxysonia81 they absolutely do! They can ask for footage but if you say no they have to get a warrant or subpoena to get it from you. They can’t just say hand it over it doesn’t matter if they know 100% youve recorded a murder!
I am so glad you put up a side-by-side comparison snapshot of each camera’s resolution at 7:03. My short-term memory really needed that assistance. Thank you, and Bravo!!
@@RussC123 No sd card it has internal memory. But you can add one. It holds 2 weeks of video and audio. After that it deletes. With SD card more time can be saved.
Realistically, I bought 2 Wyze cameras that are inside my window and give full coverage of entrance ways and the area surrounding my home. Both have sd cards and cloud storage, night vision and motion and sound sound detection and ai capability. They are both visible from the exterior of the home and most cameras are merely deterrents. I can set the sensitivity of motion and watch my video live or go back and look at what and who's been around my property. The video is clear and the cameras were under $40 a piece, although I got mine used from Poshmark for $15 bucks a piece. They serve the purpose and both have a mic, speaker, alarm and have been reliable. That's all I look for in a camera. The cloud and licenses for both cameras only come to like $6 per month and there's a ton more options in the camera settings I don't even use. Although my cameras aren't "outside" cameras per say, I'm able to see 80% of my property and all window and door access with the two cameras. Really serves the purpose without spending a bunch of money on things you don't need and do the same things.
I have the WYZE wireless cam and found that it is pretty much 'line of sight' to the controller to work. once you do that it works just fine. if the person doing the test had moved it (the controller) to another place it might have been more responsive. That is what I did. I have mine on my roof to watch the weather.
@@hllovell I have the Wyze outdoor cams and they work with the base in a cabinet in my family room that is separated by multiple walls one of them being stone and it works great
Thank you! Someone who does simple but highly necessary, accurate tests that show us exactly what the product is like. I have a Nest doorbell, part of me loves it but more of me hates it. It’s been buggy in the past missing someone running around in my front yard. I caught the person with my own eyes, the Nest camera failed. Recorded only seconds after the person wasn’t visible yet it records the dumbest things like paper flying in the wind. Super frustrating and at first battery life was pretty good but now every couple weeks it warns me it’s about to die. I just want a good, reliable, long lasting camera (learning how much I dislike doorbell cameras) that actually records what’s going on, I’d love one that follows movement as well and warns me and doesn’t struggle to upload the videos which is another ridiculous issue I’ve had with Nest and it requires top notch internet and I just don’t have that. So often my videos are super grainy even though the camera itself is a good quality, there’s just too many issues that make it difficult to overlook
The nest camera is terrible If you not paying that $6 per month, when I started the free trial all of a sudden it recorded everything but before hand I'd miss things 😶😑😐🤨
The Blink outdoor wireless battery operated camera is my choice since they survived the cold snowy winter of Tahoe, CA (temperature fluctuates 100F degree between seasons) running over 2 years on 2 AA Lithium (Energizer Ultimate Lithium). I used them to take day/night security snap-shot photos and turn off all video, voice, etc. features to extend the battery life. The WIFI used by these camera is provided by a 4G/LTE cellular modem (MoFi 4500/sim 7) with a T-Mobile sim card (unlimited data with 4G/LTE guarantee for the first 50GB). The whole system is stand-alone and mobile (from location to location) as long as there is a 4G/LTE cellular tower in sight .....
Not sure what'd happened but like I said, I only use these cameras to take snap shots and nothing else. I turned off all other features to save power. I have 10 of these outdoor cameras and they all last over 2+ years using the Lithium AA.
Amazon Prime Day sale $189 for 5 outdoor Blink camera, a synch module and one Mini Blink camera. The Mini is $15 at it's lowest price so the outdoor camera works out to be $35 each. So cheap!
I am very concern with Blink cameras not having wired option. How will the battery hold up on -20 to -35 fahrenheit is my worries. I don't want to switch out batteries every week in the winter
I have had Wyze cams for a few years now and I am still happy with them. Had a few hiccups in the beginning but nothing major. The V3s are crazy good at night.
You got a new subscriber. This is one of the best review videos I’ve ever seen. Fair, detailed, not overly drawn out (like some 30 minute videos out there. Excellent job man you know what you’re doing.
I had five Ring Wireless Cameras installed around our home for about a year. Each had a Ring Solar panel and while the notification process (intruder alert) wasn't that great and I had difficulty accessing the feed remotely if I was anywhere other than inside my house or driveway, I thought for what I paid and for what they did I got what I paid for. That was until my neighbor across the street knocked on the door and asked if my driveway camera could see her mail box. Of course it could. Someone had just hit her mail box and drove off. So, went to retrieve the video and discovered there was no video. It seems that ALL of our Ring cameras had unexplained gaps in their recording. For example, our drive way camera recorded our pool service arrive. Three other cameras should have recorded his walk down the side of the house, at the pool, and at the pool pump but none did. After long conversations with RING, they told us video would only record if the sensor detected movement within the sensor range and the sensor range is smaller than the camera viewing range. I understood that and had set the sensor ranges to max when I installed them. Then they dropped the bomb, basically the technology wasn't there for the sensor to detect movement, video activate, recording start, before whatever set the sensor off moved outside of the sensor range. So, the car that hit the mailbox was simply moving too fast. Our pool service, basically the same. Guy doing an average walk was just too fast for the RING. They all went into the trash and I had my nephew help me install wired cameras to a home server.
I have multiple eufy s40s on my property and I can tell you they are great for a month or so. After that they miss activity, fail to save events, fail to notify among many many many false notifications. I've had each replaced by eufy more than once through their customer service for these issues I've mentioned. While it was essentially hassle free, I still had to take time out of my day and swap out the camera and send it back. When I decide to sell my current home these will be staying with the home. I don't want these headaches at the next property.
I’ve had eufy for years starting with the eufy cam 2 and then the solo cam and now have 5 different cameras and they all work great still and even work great in the harsh Canadian winters
@@Rajonrondoo99 I can promise you you have not experienced the s40 from what you are saying. I have had eufy replace 5. All 5 the solar panel and the internal battery were fried after 365 day in the harsh nj air. What a joke. Now way we have wildly different experience to that extreme. Yet I have proof that we do. I even have contact from eufy explaining their price point isn't meant for 24/7 element exposure. Yet it's an outdoor solar camera. So you can keep your eufy shit. I've moved on.
Very comprehensive video! I believe the Eufy also integrates with Homekit, so if you're like me and you have a NAS, you (supposedly, I haven't tried this yet myself) can record direct to your NAS and never have an issue with anyone ever trying to steal the footage off of your camera.
Where have you been all my life?! Great work, sir. As a dad and home owner there just aren't many (if any) good tools to figure out which cameras are the right option. Looking forward to the rest of your videos. Thank you for your work.
I currently pay a yearly subscription of around $99 I think. You don't have to if you don't want though. The pan and tilt cameras have built in storage upgrade with a micro SD slot.
It is worth mentioning Google Nest Cams have a local storage fallback: if wifi goes down, it will record up to 1 hour of video and upload the material as soon as the wifi comes back on. In addition, if you decide to plug it in inside (it is an option), it will also detect smoke and CO2. Although the latter might not qualify to be in your review, I believe the former is right on topic.
Same thing with Eufy and Reolink..it has local storage..it records to their corresponding media ( micro SD card for Reolink and internal storage for Eufy). I just didn’t include it in the criteria. Smoke and Co2 and even sound detection are not appropriate for outdoor cameras.
I have had my "everlasting comfort knee pillow" for a couple years and obsessed! My lower body says "Yes" and it doesnt break the wallet - seriously saved me thousands of dollars on physio.
Eufy could be so much more better if they concentrate on fixing the problems they have now and rolling out new products later. I’m sticking with eufy all my cameras are eufy I have faith they will become better n better. All products should link to the Homebase imo and the head on detection is a MUST it only detects motion when anyone approaches it from the side. This is the reason so many complain of missed events as not everyone is in a position to have the camera at the angle it needs to be, head on motion detection should be #1 priority for eufy. Great review thank you 😊
Love my reolink argus 3 pro ive set it up almost 4 months ago and ive never had to take it down to recharge truly set and forget. The app is awesome aswell plus the video quality is amazing.
Can you please tell me how you linked your cameras to your phone and what phone you have. I have 2 Argus eco wireless cameras and can't get the phone. Samsung Galaxy a01, to link to the cameras. My camera lens is broken and I can't scan the QR code so I have to enter it manually but that shouldn't matter. Any ideas?
@@brianroberts5740 I used the qr scanner i also made an account so whenever i log in it should display only the linked cameras i have on that account. The manual way should work to i havent tried it yet though. I also have a galaxy s8
Eufy and Reolink are really grabbing my attention. I have to say that the Reolink video quality is spot on and 180 degree FOV from 2 lenses instead of a fish eye effect is also very nice. I can't wait to move in to a house so I can buy some Reolink cameras.
Reolink's motion detection is terrible. Nothing moving, it hears a car pass by and it starts recording. Post man comes and all I can see in the recording is the back of his neck as he leaves.
I've owned Arlo cameras for years and I recently switched to Ring. Arlo definitely makes the superior cameras but beyond that, their service is terrible. So we take a trip to Hawaii and on day two of the trip, I get a notification that someone is at my door at 9 at night. I hop on the app and I'm greated with a message that I have too many streams (5) running and I'm not able to view the event or go live. After doing research, the only way to resolve the issue is to reset my router which was not possible at the time as I was traveling. Now the major issue here is I only had 2 streaming cameras connected which is well.short of the 5. This is a known issue at Arlo and they simply have zero interest in fixing it. If your arlo camera happens to lose a connection to the wifi... you have no way to fix it unlike ring where from the app you're able to solve for most issues. And it doesn't matter which camera you own. It's all on the same terrible app with the same error that can only be fixed with a hard reset of your internet. So while Ring's cameras are not as good as Arlo, they still beat the app with connectivity and availability. Those fancy cameras don't mean anything if they are not available.
@@mariataylor4247 it's $9 monthly for cloud storage. Otherwise you are only able to view live events with no playback. You'll have to go to the website to set it up as the app won't allow it
Nice review! I have some of those models and from my experience, the worse is Arlo since the notification are sometimes delayed by a couple of hours, not speaking of their policy in terms of remote storage and fees... in addition, with no light, the image quality of the Blink is superior by far. With the Arlo 2 and 3, I cannot recognize anyone moving at night.
Blink is trash, my outdoor version took a shit within 3 months and customer support basically said to bad. I will nver own another Amazon product in my life.
This is the first time I do not agree with the result, LH. Where I use my Reolink cameras, I could not use the Eufy. The way the sun shines is not like it is with you in Texas. If I would use the Eufy, I would have to take them down often as the batteries would not get enough charge. All the rest of the video is superb, as always. Thank you for your hard work. Greetings from England.
It would be the same thing with Reolink, you will have to take them down to charge them. I haven’t tested it but even with some lighting, it should still trickle charge the battery and you will not recharge it that often. Thanks.
@@LifeHackster Yes, but with the Reolink, I can place the solar panel up to 4 metres away and mount it to catch the maximum sun rays. That means, even if the camera is a shadow position, I can still get my solar panel into full sunlight. That is not going to work with the Eufy.😊
First off, thanks for making great videos. You are a good presenter - you speak clearly and use just enough words. Too many UA-camrs yak on about nothing. I suggest making a video of only cameras that do not need a subscription. Subscriptions prices cost way more than the camera itself. Also, I found that batteries just aren't worth it. You get tired of changing them - so you just don't. So now I plug in the ones that are near an outlet. I bought 15 or 10 foot USB cables with ends that stop water from getting in. They also are faster with full power. They cost less than one battery change. For the cameras not near an outlet, I use solar. Blink of course is the cheapest option by far. But they purposely delay video playback unless you have a subscription. The video is slow even when on a new iPhone and phone and Blink on the same network. It should, in theory, be faster than the subscription. You may want to include Swan in your next test. I have their hard-wired light and cam (no subscription) above the garage. The video playback is super quick. They make other cams but I haven't tried one yet.
Blink has also continuously missed motion in my drive way. Including me moving the car to the street and back into the drive way. Sensitivity was set at 7
Awesome video, thanks for the hard work! Georgia State Patrol has had cameras on the choppers for years now that can read a car tag at 7 miles while both are in motion. We have a rover on Mars sending back quick videos. But our security cameras can't tell a grandma from a chupacabra at 20 feet.🙄
Nice job, Synology Surveillance Station has a feature to record a pre-set duration before and after a motion detection event. Your demonstration proved why we have that feature and can adjust the length of extended recording because the camera's algorithm might not decide to trigger an event notification until that incident has already walked past the camera's field of view. Filming post event detection is to capture relevant audio or incase they quickly returned to the camera Field of view, it reduces the cuts in recording. However I choose to do 24 hour continuous recording with 30 days of footage retention. I take my security cameras seriously, they're not a subscription service toy. 14 security cameras, 8 are recording constantly with a UPS backup power supply keeps them running during an outage. I've had to dedicate 12TB of my 48TB data pool just to Surveillance Station footage. 👍🍻
I like the RING stickup cam...fairly inexpensive $3 per month subscription and the camera cost me $69. I like the Stick Up Camera that runs on household electricity...no need to worry about batteries. The only limitation is working temperature min is 5 degrees and colder than that all winter long here in interior Alaska. I run the camera outside until October, then move i inside for the winter. I have not experienced an audio problem and really like this camera to monitor who is coming into our driveway.
Thank you for this video! This is exactly what I've been researching and it seems the best one for my needs is the Reolink. The front part of my house does not get as much sunlight and that's where I wanna place it, so as good as the eufy seems, I'm going to need Reolink and it's separate solar panel so I can locate the panel where the sun actually does hit.
Thanks for the great comparison video. I have Nest cams on every side of my home with a Nest doorbell/cam at my front door. My experience has been really good. Notifications are super quick and I haven't noticed it missing anything it should have picked up.
I have 5 duos and love them. They notify me very quickly and got the solar version so I don’t ever have to recharge. They work great and have had no issues with them. I didn’t like the built in solar panels on eufy. I like my stuff under my overhang out of the weather. Lasts longer
@@jacobsebastien3910 that’s probably true. So is the duo just know if sheltered will likely last longer out of the elements. Especially here in the Fl sun
Dude, YOU ARE THE BEST! If I lived close to you, I would try to hire you as my personal technology consultant! I have security cameras installed in 4 different locations and I’m working to decide on a new purchase. Your rating & ranking on cameras has really helped me make a decision on which brands NOT TO BUY!
GREAT review. Thanks so much. @9:45 You are “so right” about Nest forcing you to use their ‘Google Home’ app and the fact that it’s “NOT user friendly. It SUCKS!! I have 4 Nest cams and 4 Blink cameras and have had them for several years now. As time goes on I get more and more disappointed with Nest and prefer Blink. But NOW after watching this video I’m considering getting rid of ALL of them and switching to something else. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the comprehensive review as always LifeHackster. One thing that strikes me on the Eufy... it seems like a flawed design because most people mount their cameras up under an eave where the solar panel is going to be in shadow and not very effective. Even in your demo shots three quarters of the solar panel is in shadow. Integrating a solar panel seems nice in theory, but in reality it seems very flawed compared to having a solar panel you can expose properly to the sun and angle throughout the year.
☝️That right there sums up exactly why I opted for separate solar panels for my Eufy cams. Every one of them is mounted under an eave. Besides, I would rather have a storm take out a $60 exposed solar panel vs a $200 camera.
I have at least a full sun around 2-4 hours a day where I installed the S40. I have to film it partially sun lit more for contrast (that viewers will see the difference) I had this for almost a year exposed to the elements in the TX heat and it is holding up well..there is some yellowing on the body but aside from that, it works and looks fine. I’ll be doing a 1 year review soon. Also, I have mentioned it before, it is an eye sore, if you have a separate solar panel setup for a camera especially when placed in the front of the house. With the S40, it is a smaller footprint and cleaner setup than traditional solar panel systems.
@@chrissampson7569 I wished I knew what you was talking about, Im not tech savy at all. But I wanted to get the Eufy so I need to buy solar panels? if so do I put it on top or bottom. Im getting someone to install it but I want to make sure he doing it right. Also is wireless better then wired?
@@marianelson2571 Hi. If you're getting the cam @LifeHackster reviewed, then you don't need solar panels since one is built-in, but you need to make sure it's mounted where it can get direct sunlight. You shouldn't have it mounted under the eave. If you get other Eufy WiFi cams, you don't need solar panels, but you will have to recharge them roughly every 3-6 months (depending on the model(s)) and you can have those mounted under the eave. I only got the solar panels so I never have to take the cams down to recharge them. I hope I didn't confuse you.
I would recommend Eufy or Ring if you're planning on upgrading. If you want a good budget wired system that records locally to an NVR then Reolink is one of the best options.
This is the best camera's review I ever seen!. Thank you for it. I was about to buy blink 2 cameras special in amazon but you clarified it to me and now I changed my mind. 👏 kudos
I picked up a pair of blink outdoors during prime day. The two camera system (including the sync module) with an echo show 5 thrown in was £87 ($103). Sure it may not be the best but I feel like that's a pretty good deal
We picked up the 2 pack Blink outdoor with the Mini and then decided to pick up another 2 pack outdoor during prime day. we’re happy with them. They work pretty decent.
I picked the 5 camera set for 190$. I am pretty sure you can't beat that price. Especially if the batteries last 1 year+. 👌 I know it's not the best. But hey, nothing comes even close in this pricerange...
Thanks for the comprehensive review on the outdoor cameras. I have use these cameras for different case. I have the ring for the door bell. I use the Alro's for outdoor because of the power management of the batteries, they last almost 4 months before I need to charge them. I have the Eufy Outdoor camera for the patio area and hallways, because of spot light and motion tracking feature . I used the blink for room monitoring. And I have a Waze camera I use to move around to monitor thing like leaking water heater or any other issues around the house that is time sensitives to solve or fix. If you know any program or app that can integrate all these cameras let me know. But for now I think the Eufy camera has the most rich features in term of integrations. With Eufy cameras you can create a RSTP link, and added recording to a NAS drive. I am looking for a good NVR programs that can do that, If you have experiences in any good NVR let me know.
@@ryanjohnston2175 customer support is EVERYTHING! It tells a lot about the product. If the customer support is crappy then the product regardless if it's impeccable or not tells consumers a lot about the company. More people should do research on reviews before purchasing esp when it's going to be a big investment or when it's for security purposes to protect their families. Really sucks when someone makes a purchase just to find out afterwards that the product was a total waste of money and they can't even get the proper help they need from the company themselves. Wish all products had a rictor scale on any website you purchased it from without having to do all the research about it. It's time consuming
Ring stick up cam is their lowest end cam. I wish you would have compared the high-end Ring with dual LED spotlight. Weather proofing is also a huge asset whether it's rain or freezing or hot sun durability. I do like the video quality of the Reolink camera I think it was better than the Ring system I have. Good video.
I really wish someone would take the Wyze v3 and make it better quality but keep its compact, unobtrusive size, color night vision and most importantly local storage. My biggest gripe with some of those cameras is they're huge. I realize that if they're highly visible that in itself could be a deterrent to some but it also lets the bad guys know where they are and I just prefer the minimalist look of the Wyze. That now said I agree that their battery powered outdoor cameras are a steaming pile of garbage.
I have a couple of Wyze V3 cameras on my back deck. One aims at the bedroom windows/side gate, while the other aims at the back door/dining room window/wood fence, and I have detections zones set up. I have the deck light set to come on every night at sunset at only 10 percent power (enough to see anything on the deck, but doesn’t blast light through the bedroom windows), and some of the light spills onto the back of the house. My issue: Every time the HVAC kicks on, there is a momentary dimming of the lights, and both Wyze cameras detect that and send notifications that they detected movement. I tried turning off Notifications (kinda defeats the purpose of the cameras), but they automatically turn themselves back on at night, and I have to turn them off again. I even have the sensitivity turned down to 10, but they still notify me that motion has been detected. I love the affordability of the Wyze Cams and the fact that I can record continuously, but this is getting old. Two more EufyCams would be expensive, but I might not have a choice. Alas….
I have 4 Wyze V3's I use around my home exterior. One replaced a Reolink Lumus (good cams). However when they lose wifi connection it truly is a pain in the ass to reconnect. The Wyze cams are very easy to reconnect and picture quality similar for my needs.
I would like to buy the wyze V3 but I don't have power receptacle close to the location I need to locate the cameras. Any suggestions in how can I power these cameras ?
Really outstanding review. Great, easy to understand, realistic tests. No wasted time recording nonsense. Good technical quality. Thank you very much for your work on these reviews, very helpful!
which is better for outdoors security cameras Wired or Wireless and is it a big difference? also Do the Eufy have Motion Light when someone is in distance, and do you get a notification on your phone? Thanks
Good comparison and testing like always but I am missing the Reolink Argus PT 2K PTZ with solar panel in your test. Any chance to see that battery powered camera in your future reviews or tests?
I'm just starting to research security cameras, and find myself wishing for a camera that can be wired (so I don't have to rely on battery power), yet has wireless capability (can talk to other wireless devices), easy to install, has cellular backup, options for local or cloud storage, doesn't have to depend on me having an NVR--(an NVR sounds too bulky and technical!) A well-built metal housing, ideally rustproof and waterproof to withstand drenching weather like tropical storms. Also, must have people AI recognition and ideally is jamproof or jam resistant. Plus an easy-to-use, bug-free and well maintained app and, if applicable, camera monitoring security staff that (a) aren't outsourced to another country and (b) aren't subcontractors. Am I asking for too much? 😅lol

Great comparison review! The Ring ecosystem with their user friendly app is still state of the art and their notification speed is pretty decent. If they only would come up with some 2K cameras for improved video quality (I've already been waiting for years) Ring would be able to make a huge step towards the top.
Hello, first I need to say that you are a subject matter expert in this field. i am impressed with the quality of your videos. Second, I need your input, because any camera that I spotted to buy cannot go beyond the WIFI signal from inside the house to the door of the garage which is 30 + feet. What I can do? I tried an extender that the signal lasted for a week, then the manufacturer changed again, I was able to return just for a few days near the warranty period. I am stuck. Please let me know. thank you!
Blink is definitely the worst. After having them for 2 months I already had to replace the batteries. It doesn't open live view without alot of glitches before opening like "live view in progress" "system busy" "camera busy" and when it finally opens it'll give you "live view failed" and kick you off. All my cameras have full connection to the WiFi and the sync module.
@@LifeHackster definitely! Although I do like the doorbell cam I wish I would of went with a wired system and maybe one blink outdoor camera and the doorbell, Incase of a power outage. Of course this is all just my opinion and experience with the blink system so far. Your videos are very helpful forsure
Great review as usual but one thing that's missing (in my opinion) is WiFi range. I have both Eufy and Reolink cameras and I notice a difference in WiFi range and stability. I use some of my cameras at quite a distance from my router to cover a shed in the back yard and the farthest outside corners of the house. One brand will handle it, the other... not so much. It might be important to your viewers since it's a bummer to spend $200 on a camera and find that it can't operate where you want to place it.
Great scenario, true simulation just improved selling points, 50%. I love some ads, like lots of ads but prefer ACTUAL ads. Realism Always sells in my book. Keep it up.
all these cams are nearly 200 thats crazy. i'll stick with my blink that i got for around 50 each on sale (got 2 plus an echo show 5 for 110 on black friday). The one dealbreaker on the blink is lacking AI person detection. Mine constantly alert me and 90% of the time it's just wasps buzzing them. And while you may like the integrated solar panel, for me I believe I may need a detached panel, much of my house is in constant shade around certain eaves so I need to be able to mount the panel on the roof. Some of the other cams dont have the ability to block out motion zones though, which is a must for me as one of my cams has a road at the top of the fov. Some cams only allow you to set person and vehicle detection, so unless I block out the road (which blink allows me to do easily) it would be constantly detecting cars. Overall this test says you get what you pay for. However I dont love the format.
I won't paythen more than £80-90 for outdoor, indoor usually £40 and ring Pro 2 £80-90 (3d motion is really good at ignoring pavement and road, got mine set to 3 meters anything past that is ignored) I would love to get the ring floodlight pro but price is way up there Close to £200 (cheaper to use ring outdoor cam + my own pir floodlight)
Great job reviewing all those cameras. I’m in the market for cameras and this video was extremely helpful. Thank you for taking your time to produce this video.
Thanks for putting this together. I’d be curious to perform a similar test with the wired option on the Nest. That being said I think you may have a faulty Nest unit, before going wired with my nest I tried wireless and my notifications were pretty quick. My wired nest notifications are instant to the point I have to reduce the sensitivity. It records me walking towards it with no problem
Wiring the Nest Cam will make it use camera or pixel based detection instead of the PIR sensor and it will be more reliable and actually the only setup that will make this camera shine. Initial notifications are quick when the PIR sensor detects me which this camera tends to detect late.
Based on this detailed video i discovered Eufy.. thank you so much!! Started with the 360 (not featured on this but discovered becuse this vid) and i just ordered 2 solar powered 2k. Thanks!
looks like Blink is on the brink. ...you be wise to pass on wyze.. you can RING but no ones home.. how low can you ARlow? give it a rest Nest. and really Think hard about a Reolink and Eufy for the WIN !!! I love my E40..
Greetings from Torrance! Fantastic comparison! Boy do I have a story for you. Thieves are shifting from stealing catalytic converters to center caps from GM trucks. My neighbor from around the corner showed me a video of someone pulling up in front of their house, getting out of the car, then stole all 4 of his center caps from his GMC Yukon. This was at 4 in the morning. Thieves are not scared of security lights or cameras, but I think they would be scared of a loud voice coming from the camera. I'm pretty sure you had recorded your voice on one of them, but it would be great if that option was on all the cameras. Loud too, so the thieves get scared and run away. Maybe something else to review......? Thanks again!
Wow.. I have heard reports in our area about gas siphoning also. It is just not safe now even just to park your cars outside. Most of these cameras except for Nest and Blink can be set to have their siren to go off when motion is detected. Ring has a motion warning option instead of the siren.
@@LifeHackster Most thieves don't want a confrontation. My other neighbor caught a guy who was trying to take his catalytic converter. The bad guy ran away. If a bad guy thinks someone is coming out of the house, then they reconsider. Most people are asleep at 4am. Instead of an alarm, if the camera could say "Get away" or "Who's out there?" very loudly, then maybe bad guys will turn around and get out of the neighborhood. Anything you could think of would be appreciated! Thanks again!
Salamat! Awesome reviews!!! I was a big Wyze fan then moved to Ring, but in re-doing my home system this summer definitely using this information to make better decisions in cameras I wasn't even considering before!
I've used all these cameras and Reolink and Blink are the two best, the Reolink is substantially better than the rest though, its not even close, the recording delay is half a second and it picks up cars turning onto my street 250 feet away, it picks up people walking 150 feet away. The distance has to be adjusted on the Reolink Duo to get the best quality depending on what you are trying to see.
I made an error in the scoring in the app responsiveness section and added 3 points to Ring instead to Arlo. The final score should be Ring - 26 and Arlo - 24. It didn’t change the ranking. Sorry about that.
Lorex has good cameras. Most of them have sony starvis for color night vision. I hope you can add them next time.

How would you rate ring spotlight?
@@nicoletennant3117 I'm guessing this question is directed @LifeHackster but, in my opinion, I didn't like how much of the angle was lost with the spotlight cam compared to the Gen 3 Stickup cam.
One of my big issues currently is the security systems giving your data directly to local police stations. I know ring does this, and others as well. My security system is for me, not the cops, if I want to show them something I will, but I'm not installing spy cameras for them on my own property under the guise of home security.

I agree. Automation configuration would be limitless.

@@mikewhite9818 I’m researching these versus ring- so every 2 weeks you go get the SD card out, delete the contents, then reinstall?
@@RussC123 No sd card it has internal memory. But you can add one. It holds 2 weeks of video and audio. After that it deletes. With SD card more time can be saved.
I sort of thought that Eufy would run away with this one. Best security cam review anywhere on the Internet or any other net!
Thanks for this!
I have the WYZE wireless cam and found that it is pretty much 'line of sight' to the controller to work. once you do that it works just fine. if the person doing the test had moved it (the controller) to another place it might have been more responsive.

I just bought the Blink wireless and batteries lasted less than 2 weeks and the app showed battery ok
You also have some power source then?

Ring and Blink are trash. My Blink outdoor cameras took a shit within 3 months and customer support basically told me to get f***ed.
Wow, that’s some awesome insight- Thanks man 🎉😮!!

I believe the most needed recording is when motion is moving towards the camera why is it that they can't fix that issue? Awesome review 👍🏽💯👍🏽💯
It is more a limitation of the PIR sensor..I guess some brands use a better quality sensor.

I'm sure Eufy has it's own storage too.
Great video. I was leaning towards the Eufy but after watching this I'm sold . Great job and thank you
I have had my "everlasting comfort knee pillow" for a couple years and obsessed!

How much to run camera or do you have to pay every month or year ly I have ring but don’t know how to manage cost xxx

Nice review!
Thanks for sharing your setup.
So is Synology the brand you recommend over all these other setups?

Thanks for the comprehensive review on the outdoor cameras. I have use these cameras for different case. I have the ring for the door bell. I use the Alro's for outdoor because of the power management of the batteries, they last almost 4 months before I need to charge them.
Got bent over...
Arlo customer service is shit can't talk to Noone except by chat hell with arlo
I bought a dash cam after your advice, also wyze cams based on your advice , keep up the good work
Great comparisons! Bringing the Wyze cam to the contest was like entering a push mower in a go-kart race. Wyze does have good smart bulbs though.
Lol..
Holy! Wyze and "good" in the same sentence?! You're too kind to them!
@@kojam1 😆 Maybe they just need to leave cameras to the pros.
Alas….
They has issues with the WYze cam outdoor ever since they released the first version of it.
Wyze v3 is pretty good quality as is.
This is the best honest and detail video camera review I’ve seen. Thank you my friend.
Thanks
Watch this and hopefully it answers your question. -> ua-cam.com/video/cPp4IzIk6YI/v-deo.html
Good comparison and testing like always but I am missing the Reolink Argus PT 2K PTZ with solar panel in your test. Any chance to see that battery powered camera in your future reviews or tests?
I still have to check and test it out.
Hi!, Great video. Thanks! i have a question.... I have a huawei ax3 wifi 6 router. Do any of these cameras work with this router?
So happy I came across your reviews man. You work hard on these videos and it shows. Thank you for the great content!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
omg this is the ultimate video that i have been looking for this year!!! THank you!!!
You are welcome.
😅lol
Vivint
@@awakenedminds9147 Vivint has a D- rating with the BBB: Hundreds of complaints with the Better Business Bureau for deceiving customers, forging contracts etc., plus under investigation in multiple states for shady practices. I'll pass.
Did u come up with anything?
Hey, found something?
Prob one of the best cam reviews Ive ever seen
Great comparison review! The Ring ecosystem with their user friendly app is still state of the art and their notification speed is pretty decent. If they only would come up with some 2K cameras for improved video quality (I've already been waiting for years) Ring would be able to make a huge step towards the top.
I agree. Ring really needs to setup their game. They need better video quality cameras.
@Bo Bo Bo If someone wants to take that effort just to see what's going on in my backyard... be my guest. 😅
i find blink is much faster at notification only when the module updates is when it’s slow
Blink is more save battery first and security second type of system.
@@LifeHackster definitely! Although I do like the doorbell cam I wish I would of went with a wired system and maybe one blink outdoor camera and the doorbell, Incase of a power outage. Of course this is all just my opinion and experience with the blink system so far. Your videos are very helpful forsure
It's depends of your needs, Blink cameras work extremely well for me and they have reasonable price. - Nice review - A+
I think Arlo Ultra the best, and Wyze 3 going to be the last because that Motion Sensor notification takes a long ass time.
I had to watch the full Ads to get you paid for this masterpiece. 😂Thanks
Thank you. I appreciate it.
May I ask who has a better Wi-Fi range between these two? Thanks a lot
Also curious ^^
So which is better?
UH ok? Whats better then?
Share which one is better on wifi. Jesus, cousin Greg.
Thanks to your videos I've been using Eufy for my home security and I've been having a great experience thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experience.

I won't paythen more than £80-90 for outdoor, indoor usually £40 and ring Pro 2 £80-90 (3d motion is really good at ignoring pavement and road, got mine set to 3 meters anything past that is ignored)
I would love to get the ring floodlight pro but price is way up there Close to £200 (cheaper to use ring outdoor cam + my own pir floodlight)
Great job reviewing all those cameras. I’m in the market for cameras and this video was extremely helpful. Thank you for taking your time to produce this video.
Wyze down bad 😂
Sir, you deserve an award 🥇 for this review. The absolute best I’ve seen. Thank you for helping me decide. 🎉❤
Thank you. I appreciate it.
@@LifeHackster And we appreciate YOU!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for putting this together.
Thanks for the insight and quick response, do you have a review on the wired nest setup?

Based on this detailed video i discovered Eufy.. thank you so much!! Started with the 360 (not featured on this but discovered becuse this vid) and i just ordered 2 solar powered 2k. Thanks!
looks like Blink is on the brink. ...you be wise to pass on wyze.. you can RING but no ones home.. how low can you ARlow? give it a rest Nest. and really Think hard about a Reolink and Eufy for the WIN !!! I love my E40..
Lol… that’s a good one ;)
One of the best most comprehensive review videos I've ever seen. Thank you Sir!!
First 💪🏼 is this still a thing 😂

Thank you. I am an early Eufy adopter and you confirm it was a good decision for me. Thank you.

couldnt not leave a comment after watching all of this. this has to be one of the best review videos ive seen. not just for cams. good job :D
Did you consider testing the Night Owl cameras?
Thanks for the video. Do you have an opinion about the Abode Cam 2?
Can you add a to your videos your internet speed test please.
Great video thanks.
