For dinner, we put Skylon Tower and Table Rock House Restaurant to the test. Dining in, or near tourist spots can be dicey. We wanted to test and see if these places were truly enjoyable, or if they were just coasting on location.
Reservations are a good idea for both:

Hi! I'm not sure we've got enough expertise to be the best advisors here... but I do know that you can certainly rent a car in the USA and drive it into Canada. You'd probably want to ask your rental company however as there may be insurance things you need to do for being in Canada. And I figure, no matter the side you choose, it'll be neat to see Niagara Falls! Have a great time.

You said fireworks is every night. Are you sure? I haven't gone in a few years but it used to only be on weekends and holidays. Illumination of the falls is year round though. The pass has changed a little bit over the years, my husband and I did the pass over 20 years ago during our honeymoon, but we purchased additional days of bus pass and spread it out over a week since my husband doesn't handle the constant tourist thing well.

I go up to Niagara Falls 2-3 times a year from Ohio and I have a passport. I always do both sides of Niagara Falls start on Goat Island NY and walk my way over to Table Rock Canadian Side so many great views of all 3 Falls people really miss out skipping the USA Side from my Experience yes the Canadian Side has hands down the panoramic views of Niagara Falls period!!!!! and you can get pretty damn close to Horseshoe Falls, however on the American Side you are able to get up close and really feel Power of all 3 Falls that simply cannot be done from Canadian Side yes the views are close up and block the whole waterfall from being seen but being able to stand 2 feet from the American Falls at Luna Island and see and feel water rushing over is crazy fun Experience so much water 2 feet in front of you!!!!! Also you can get pretty close to Horseshoe Falls on Goat Island like 4 feet in front the angle is very Unique basically looking at a side view of Horseshoe Falls it's like you can tell it's a Horseshoe but doesn't quite look like it but I always tell people if they can do both sides!!!!!

Chris has been sea sick before but did not get sea sick on this boat ride. It's only about 15 or 20 minutes and we loved every minute of it. That said, there've been other boat rides in choppier water at sea that he also hasn't been sea sick on, so we might not be good at assessing the situation. We didn't notice anyone looking seasick, but we were also busy admiring nature's phenomenal power. I get terrified in the water at times, but I have "good sea legs."
