- This is a quick video on how to set up the Clam Quick-Set 12.5x12.5 Pavilion Tent. We used it for the first time on our 6 day camping trip and it worked great for hiding from the bugs, playing game and with standing a very strong thunder storm. This tent is made very well made and worth every penny.
Thanks for watching.

Great demonstration we just bought the 11.5 pavilion clam, very excited to add to our camping adventures. Thanks so much have fun exploring!!
It is a great addition to our camping gear, can't wait for camping season. Thanks for watching.
We have an older model of the Clam Shelter (13.5 feet) with the attached zip-down wind panels. If you attach a carabiner to the pullout metal loops it won’t slip through the hole when you collapse it. My husband took it a step further and permanently attached a guyline to the carabiner so you can secure the screen from those pullouts to the ground. He wraps the cord up and secures the bunched up cord with a hair elastic. Once you have all sides secured to the ground, should you decide to open a few panels, all you have to do is unhook the carabiner, fold the panel under and up, and reattach the carabiner. Works well 👍🏼 You won’t see your tent go airborne should a gust of wind go through … don’t ask …. Yes it happened to us. We also bought the light-coloured rain fly for the top to prevent premature UV damage and better rain protection. Love your videos.
That is a great idea with the carabiner, I will try anything to make things easier. Thank you for the great idea and for watching the video.
Great demo! Appreciate the explanation of how people consider it inside out on first set up. Will be cognizant of that. We ordered ours a few days ago and will do our first set up this weekend. I understand there is a rain fly accessory (sold separately) as this model is considered water resistant.
I'm glad the video was helpful. We did have a heavy rain fall during our trip, I just trough a light tarp over it for just in case and it stayed dry on the inside. So far I'm impressed. Thanks for watching.
What ground matt are you using?
Any reason you can’t just do everything from the inside of it? Once you flipped it over and started popping it seemed like you could go inside push up the middle and push out the sides.
I will definitely try it this summer and I will get to you. Thanks for watching
@@paquetteadventures4120 thank you for testing. This 270 awnings are too expensive for my rig trying to determine if I should go with something like this or just bite the bullet and find a reasonably priced one.
