    Showing you how to fit a thermostatic radiator valve, or TRV to a radiator, without having to drain any water from the system, saving time, additives and water using a freezer kit and one single radiator clamp.

    This only works if you have the same nut size for the TRV as the lockshield / wheel lock valve. In my experience - the Lockshield / Wheellocks have a larger 3/4" nut than the standard 1/2" TRV tail nuts. I had to replace all the Rad tails to fit my TRV's (Drayton TRV4s in my case).

    Hi please reply Asap. When replacing the valve is it better to drain the pipes will freeze them?

    You only need to freeze the pipe, if you turn off valve on the other side fully it will create a vacuum and you will only get a very small amount of water come out easy to contain so save your gas it’s expensive lol
