So if I wanted to add another radiator without draining down and (without the benefit of an open pipe) there is no way to tell if the pipe was frozen apart from cutting into it of course! Good luck with that.
@Rob The point being that you put the self cutter in the part that you would cut out for the rad. At worst it doesn’t work and you have to drain down anyway. Either way the self cutter gets removed. Anyway used this method (cheaper jacket version) at the weekend, worked as described.
How long does it stay frozen for on 15mm? No product seems to give the info on any websites!
