I like how Sega's appealing to more "team effort" in Sonic games rather than Sonic doing all the work. It really does a lot more justice than Forces' greatest mistake
You mean sonic unleashed and generations. As much as a love these games, I wanted more playable characters
Sonic being a solo act started from Unleashed. It was the result of people outside the fandom complaining that there are too many characters and that they don't care about anyone but Sonic. "It's called Sonic the Hedgehog, why would I wanna play as anyone else?!" That kinda dumb stuff. Sadly, their voices were the loudest ones, so they're the ones Sega tried to cater to.
@@Someguyhere111 The other characters were hated because they played too differently from Sonic which was a major criticism of the Adventure games and the other 2000s games.
Sonic didn’t do all the work in Forces though.
I agree. I’ve really enjoyed how the recent games allowed other characters to be playable and relevant again
Cream finally gets to shine again, it’s felt like forever since she was a major part of the story

Man Hardlight certainly has come a long way from those Sonic Dash days haven't day? Easily their most ambitious work to date. Shame not many people will get to play this
If this game does eventually get ported to consoles, I'm most curious to see if they'll upgrade the cutscenes so that they're all animated. They already have full-on voice acting and sound design built in, and the character models are definitely capable of expressive movement! It wouldn't surprise me if these "mobile-game-screenshot" cutscenes are a sort of blueprint to be fully animated later on.
Or they actually were animated (for possible console releases) but were downgraded to screenshots for the Apple version.

HOWEVER, its very possible that SEGA Hardlight get to do a real sonic game for consoles (just like the mania devs with their OG ports)

An ancient water god, a biological experiment based on said water god, a 'completed' experiment based on Angel Island murals of a hedgehog (shadow), a time god that exists within Elise, a god of darkness that resides within the planet, another chronokinetic god-like creature, a gemstone that can warp reality itself, and now an ancient destroyer god held captive in a cyber-dimension...
Over 30 years of fuckups and the man still sees an ancient relic of awesome power and thinks 'tampering with this definitely won't go south for me!' XD
I really like these level designs, might be the best yet! It's like Frontiers "open-zone' parts mixed with cyberspace while still being a linear level.
You clearly haven’t played or seen Mario games.

@@justsome500yearoldwithsmug2 because the design philosophy is taken straight from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. Hell it’s taken from every mainline 3D Mario games.

This is exactly what I was expecting a Sonic game on mobile would be like! It even has fully animated cutscenes here and there. Mobile games are so capable on home console AAA quality!

You’d think that after Frontiers, Sonic would be more cautious about disembodied voices in the sky telling him to do some certain tasks. At least this time, the person with the voice (Ariem) has good intentions.
It sucks that this game actually looks really pretty fun and it looks like something that could be played on either the switch or any of the other consoles too bad it's only on mobile
It's not only on mobile 😭😭😭 It's in all Apple devices. As you can clearly see in the gameplay there's no touch controls on the screen. Grab an apple TV it's less then 70 quid

I like the way this game was played and how the story was going and how they added Rouge to their team they should do more games like this often where they interacted with each other and work together as sidekicks to support sonic and I’m glad they add cream in the game again it feels like the actual old school sonic games .

Its impressive that this game basically is forces/gens length, but on a mobile game
Makes it all the more sad that a mobile game is technically longer than a full on AAA console Sonic game.
I miss cream and I’m happy she's finally in a new Sonic game. I also love how Sonic plays as the older brother to keep her safe. Hopefully for more Sonic games we can play with more characters in the future. It’s been so long and I miss playing as them.

It's not like there's a difference to playing a game and watching someone play the game. Your still gonna get the same results when you think about it.
@DeleonAnderson-sg1ml I usually get the gist of it, but being hands-on feels like a better experience to me. But everyone is different
@@DeleonAnderson-sg1ml It's not the same thing at all xD Watching someone play the game, you have no control on what is hapenning. Unless you play a game where it's 95% movie and 5% game, then yeah, it's not much of a difference. But for a Sonic game? It's totally different since it's mostly gameplay.

I honestly wish every character had a unique moveset rather than them all being clones of each other essentially but honestly this game looks super fun

This game kinda similar to Super Mario Galaxy...
Is this a fan game? Cute (if a bit Mario-esque even...) and very polished. "Ariem (R.E.M.)?" ha, clever. Seems like it would work better as a mobile game, very few enemies, bubbly music, and bit-size levels would work well on the go. Glad fans are discovering that not every Sonic fan game has to be open world too.

Imo sonic heroes was last best Sonic game. But dream team is the greatest sonic games in over a decade and made it only for apple. That’s insane to me
