This actually seems like it would be a really fun addition to the sonic game lineups. Like just having eggman be the final villian, not even as a mech but just really big in his lab when your trying to find the embiggening ray.
Have some small creatures be helpful to sonic like the alien powers, instead maybe its something named like Ringlings, the true source of the golden rings or something along that line.

This is my ideal Sonic cartoon The balance between Sonic's attitude and Eggman's brutality and humanity is moderately interesting. Sega should do it this way.
This shows the things i like about sonic like how the mania shorts did. The cuteness, the funness of moving around with speed, how every character can fight in their own way and work together and the colorful world of a video game!
This feels like it could be a sonic game, and is honestly more accurate to the characters than many games of recent memory. Except for one thing, eggman has gone on record saying he never tries the same plan twice.
I loved how the bots decided to take over Eggman's empire and gladly give Sage and Metal Sonic an interesting offered as joining in too. But seems that they still follow Eggman, that the bots don't want to.
