I miss the old days. I played this game more than any other game in my life and its sad to see it has died in popularity due to hackers. I used to mod myself and still have a jailbroken ps3 but never ran around with aimbot. I always told them they are ruining the game and this is why it was dying and would crash the lobby so they couldn't do it anymore. Its just sad to see how immature people can ruin a whole experience for hundreds of thousands of people. Everyone could have gained 5+ more years of memories and fun with their friends if it wasn't for these children that think its fun to cheat.
i don’t get how it’s fun playing with aimbot. like you’re just a baby with training wheels at that point. 9/10 it’s some dude with a sniper trying to be like his childhood idols from FaZe or OpTic

@@sativakong4206 the only good reasons to use mods are if it’s for fun with friends, if you’re booting a cheater offline, or to destroy the cheater with superior cheats. or if your account got deleted and you need your stats back
This is why Plutonium mod was invented.

To this day Black OPS 2 on the PS3 is my all time favorite but had to quit sometime in 2017 because it was becoming impossible to find a lobby without hackers.
What are the hackers doing? I just tried twice to do a match and it was insane. Some guy was just shooting up and down everywhere and killing me over and over. Finished a match with like 64 kills….was that a hack or was it some overpowered gun with FMJ or something
yes thats a hack.
I was hardly an online gamer except for this and this game only. Literally.
And I too felt the pain when the game started to become overrun with those hackers.
I put it away 2-3 times for the past 10 years for that reason. But when it came out in 2012, jeez was this game glorious!
I use the mods menu to kick the hackers outta the lobby 🤣.

Have my Son my PS4 Pro and handed down my Gamertag with all the trophies cuz I felt bad he only has a switch .. I told him it's time for an upgrade. Good thing I didn't get rid of the PS3 .. Was just playing BO2 without Internet and modern Warfare, black ops 1 n such.. It's great to be able to play ! I bought another PS4 and Cold War but can't even play it because you need to buy internet and its a damn 200gb Download ! Crazy I bought it but can't play any games.. But , The PS3 War at World , Black ops 1 definitely 2 , modern warfare 123 , definitely 3 are there to play .. Now that I dont worry about trophies the switch even seems like it would be fun .. Thanks for keeping it real with the PS3 BO2 Family !
I agree with stable connections on Black Ops 2 on the PS3, it is the best online Call of Duty game back in the days and I loved it so much with my friends.
Too bad there hackers throughout the game this time around and somehow it keeps giving me hell to get into a game when I try to play online.... I don't know why.
Thank goodness the zombies game mode rarely has public match hackers, keeps it fair and still fun! Unless you don't have zombies or just hate it. But yes, the connection for this game is amazing 😁
i have a question , could it be that your insternet modem or router has been DDOS?? meaning could it be that your modem or router has been distributed denial of service??? which by the way is 100% illegal

I miss Shelby, i haven't talked to that guy since a year after Destiny came out. We all just parted ways out of the blue.
Me and my friend came back to play this recently and this video is pretty accurate. The hackers weren't as bad of a problem for us but I did notice people with some kind of unlimited uav, I've played against enough sweats to know when someone can hear or see me on the radar lol, especially with Ghost and Dead Silence.
Sounds like more of a wall hack type thing. I've come across numerous people with those. Which would piss me off but the majority of those people couldn't play worth a damn so I would end up killing them more often than they would get me.
@@FoxParasyte Probably was wallhacks now that you mention it, like how can they have that much of an advantage and still lose lol. Also I don’t remember so many people using the Scar, I guess people found out how op it was after the game cycle ended
@@brandon_png9743 I have people on the regular call me a hacker whenever I do pop on. They don't listen to me when I explain that I'm not hacking.
You are right the amount of Scar users is way higher than I ever remember. I always favored the AN and the Fal for ARs
@@FoxParasyte Sometimes I don't blame the people for sending messages, you never know on these older games but I always take it as a compliment lol. Yeah the AN and Fal were beast, same with the M8 and Type 25, but that Scar is just oppressive now.
True, it does get annoying after a while. At that point i mute most of the people who start shit who cant back it up. I'm terrible with the M8 always have been. Swat was always my favorite burst rifle in all of the cod games. I'm debating on making another video covering Bo1 or even Ghosts on the ps3.
If only Activision could still make a game like this one lol which is never going to happen ever again
Would be even better if they remastered it on the next gen consols imagine playing this on the ps5 with stable 60fps or even 120hz

HELP PLEASE! everytime I load BO2 on PS3 it freezes in the loading screen but if I am not logged in to PSN then it will load but then once loaded, I log into PSN and it freezes again

It is October 2022 and I played this online on ps3 today. Not a ton of people on there but I did get some good matches
Man I'm miss Black ops too my main account got hacked about 2 year by somebody and to wear every single time that I join a lobby the host draws in the only way that I know how to get rid of that is by resetting your stats in the barracks problem is is that every time when you click onto the barracks the whole entire PS3 freezes I have no idea how to undo any of that so I haven't been playing black ops two in about two years
Just thought I’d hop on BO2 on my ps3 and it says there’s almost 600 players and I get stuck on waiting for 5 more players when trying to join a TDM match and it says there’s about 40 matches and never puts me into a lobby

I was able to play 2 rounds on a new account without hackers and it was cool but I really only loved playing the party modes

Black ops 2 is basically unplayable on consoles now a days. You'll constantly run across hackers, constantly get deranked, and just countless of other issues. Hilariously, and thankfully, it's completely playable and a great experience on PC still. Extra so with plutonium being a thing now.
I have not seen the derank issue as of yet. I'm sure the hacking is way more of a problem on the Xbox it always seems to be the case for older cods at least.
Even with my love for the game I can't say it's unplayable 100% more like 65% unplayable. It's based on pure dumb luck to play a days session without hackers. But when you do it's amazing
@@FoxParasyte I think the deranking is only xbox. I have yet to see any options for that on ps3.
@@LeftBehind666 yes the derank phenomenon is real. I swear it was at a point where if you happen to reach say level 44 and you decide to turn off the game for a bit, when you return you’ll be on level 23 or something. Totally annoying.

I've been told that yes the new player thing does go with zombies as well. So you'll have to do the same method i showed in the video to bypass the freezing

I never had a chance to play the Wii or Ds games, kinda always wanted to. As for Xbox idk if I would consider it because I don't have live and haven't had it for several years. It's a system I touch like 6 times a year if that.
@@FoxParasyte for sure. The Wii and DS ones are pretty interesting. There’s a small group of us that play still. Very small. If you thought WaW on PS3 was small. We literally have 0 online at times lmao.

I tried signing into my ps3 using the same account I had then as I do now, but it wouldn't let me sign in untill I formatted the hard drive and lost everything save files gone all that grinding for the diamond camos gone don't even have the disk anyways but it's still £45.00 on the ps3 store which in my opinion still Hella expensive
You didn't have to format the PS3. I didn't play mine for 4 years. You just sign in with your email with your existing account and go from there. They have a new way for you to sign in since the PS3 update.

Disappointing to see a game I grew up with, turn pretty much unplayable online. I Have so much love for bo2 and memories of playing, such a shame it’s been ruined by hackers. Cant even click multiplayer anymore without it crashing my ps3. Sometimes even crashes at the Activision screen and I have to unplug the console to unfreeze it. Would love to relive the memories once again if Activision and Treyarch decided to ever remake the game onto newer consoles with playable servers.
Weird I jumped on a little over a week ago because someone else had a similar complaint. It worked fine for me. Wonder what that's about

The price? It's usually like 5 bucks at local shops by me. Im not a fan of the campaign of this game. I think in terms of gameplay it's one of the weaker ones.

I highly doubt they'll do anything unfortunately. Devs don't care about the small minority of players in a 10ish year old game when they're popping out new ones with millions of people playing every year.

@@jaymanilla289 Problem is any active player count on regular online is a target for hackers. Private matches dont do much to stop them. Not only that but people wanting to rank up and unlock stuff arent going to really want to play private matches that much. Its unfortunate but Bo2 is ruined unless the hackers for some reason stop or at least lessen.
Bo2 has gained a lot of attention recently in the past year so i don’t expect this to happen anytime soon.

i remember bo 2 was fun but then it became to a point that it has became infected with illegally jailbroken ps3's i recently made a new account and For God knows why activision decided to make it where you cant save your online progress with a new account for ps3 after 2018/19 i found out ghost and bo 2 saves your online progress on new accounts after the ps3 is shut off

The voting is broken on ps3 because a modder named blast mods created dedicated servers to avoid modders constantly crashing the servers or non host end gaming.
Wish he would have put some sort of block on modders/hackers in general in the game. There's far too many of them ruining the experience as it is.

@@FoxParasyte Okay, storytime, I got back into Xbox Live and decided to play Black Ops 2, I met up some friends and played for about a hour or so, however, I met this one guy "TechyD3cky" who (get this) Leveled me up 50 on Zombies (I also think he gave me EVERY ACHIEVEMENT EVER) the moment I stopped playing and hopped on a few months later, it asked for a password and I assumed it was banned because someone hacked me. The real kicker was that the Achievements came up as Xbox One Games
@@DizzyGamerOfficial Hmm that's weird, I had a similar thing happen to me on cod4 back in the day. Gave everyone in the lobby outrageous stats and max prestige. I already was max but I was not too happy about my stats being messed with. Never got a ban though.

I can't get anyone to show up in the lobby anymore. It's been over a month. Totally unplayable.
I just jumped on 5 minutes ago, had zero problems finding a lobby. 300 active people playing as of 6:34pm
@@FoxParasyte Hello Foxxy, I’m thinking of making a return. When I first played the game years ago I played on Xbox 360 and then maybe 3 years ago I got a Xbox one and was able to download the game and I played for a bit but the hackers ruined it.
What online platform do you use to play? I remember using Xbox Gold I think it was called. Is it still the same?
