Last time I played WaW was around early 2017, the situation honestly didn't change much. TDM is still the only game mode in which you can find a game fairly consistently, last time I played it war was actually dead almost all the time, FFA had some players occasionally. As for campaign and zombies, sometimes you'd have the odd person or two playing the competitive co-op campaign, albeit very rarely, nacht and der riese were the only maps alive pretty much all the time, with barely enough people to fill a lobby (sometimes) playing verruckt or shi no numa. it's a shame all these old call of duties are dying out despite being a lot better than the new ones coming out yearly.

If ps5 gets actual backwards compatibility WAW is going to be one of the main games I play

Cod4 and waw are still super popular on pc! Because they have dedicated servers and not peer to peer.
Shame i don't really do much PC gaming these days. Sounds like it would be a hell of a lot more fun.

nah not really mate, even back then, only 1 server consistently alive, 2 servers that are sometimes alive, and a few servers with bots.

honestly, not sure if i can say if the situation on PC is better or worse. there is only 1 real server still alive. player count fluctuates during the day but at evening it's so high that it's unplayable (up to 44 players on a single server, playing maps designed for 12, up to 18 people, with dome being the most common map in rotation). most players on that server play about as disgustingly as you'd expect and then some more. there are only 2 other servers that are sometimes active, one of them has very specific rules you must follow and is a niche server, can't really play the game normally on it, the other one has admins who cry about jump shotting and similar acrobatics and forbid them, threatening with a kick if you do them.

Remaster this game for the PS5, and it will be the only COD I play. I fucking love this game.

I had the same curiosity you did and your experience makes me want to just never game again the idea of getting online and talking to jerks like you came in contact with just make me want to do something else
thanks for the video I really wish I could play the game and enjoy it and who knows maybe I'm I will but I doubt it if I end up getting dossed I have I've never done had that before and sure I like new experiences you know even if they are challenge but I don't like dealing with people that are a-holes just for the sake of being assholes.

No, i was just playing online the other day.
Sony wanted to kill all PSP and Ps3 servers a year ago but then many people protested so Sony only discontinued PSP servers in the end. Now many servers are still surprisingly on, although i doubt that it won't be for long.

When I use to play ea ufc online it was almost worse then cod and GTA combined. People would get so angry if you beat their ass in that game. Have had people go as far to wish death on my whole family, pathetic.
I heard street fighter and smash bros in particular are horrible in their toxic fanbase. I don't play fighters online so i have no first hand knowledge. I have heard people mention UFC being bad in the past. Apparently there's a youtuber/ streamer known for his awful behavior on that game.

I would play with advanced players like you and get smeared and I would probably actually enjoy it but when it comes to cheats or or what do you call it a campers who you decide you know a quick sniping just to get the numbers and not play the game yeah they ruin the game
