Something interesting is how much this quest ACTUALLY reveals about the man in the wall through the subtext that I don't think people even pay attention to. Like the fact that people have been stealing power from him but he WILLINGLY GAVE powers to the Tenno. And even during the course of this quest he could have tried even harder to actually stop the drifter but didn't.
Yeah i noticed that. I think the Man in the wall sees the Tenno as their child (technically he is). he will punish the Tenno when they do something he doesn't like but he never goes overboard like Ballas does, not once did he try to take away the Tenno's powers. I feel like he could instantly kill the Tenno if he wanted to.
I believed before the update that the man in the wall gave us our powers to solve a problem. Like maybe it wants to feel emotion and empathy like Tagfer suggests, but it can’t so it has to antagonize others to feel emotions through them. Kinda like how some psychopaths hurt animals out of curiosity. I believed it wants us to solve its problem, to teach it concepts it has never known before. It wants to understand but itll do that by taking as much as it can till there’s nothing left to take. Im curious where this new arc is going, I wonder if Albrecht has been swapped with the Man in the Wall or not. And what’ll happen in the future.
We got our piece of him from the deal we shook aboard the Zariman, although we don't know what we offered in return. "Those before us" were the Orokin, more specifically, Albrecht Entrati. During his Void Dive incident, the forced closing of the Void mirror had chopped a piece of The Indifference (the part of it that leaked in when the Seriglass Bell was breached). The Orokin used this exact finger to power many engines including that of the Zariman Ten-Zero. To maximise its use, they made clones of it and used those to power many other things such as our Railjacks (the Void Drive contains a smaller version of his finger). What the Orokin weren't aware of, is that all of this usage of the Void's finger (AKA The Reliquary/"Eternal Relic") was somehow affecting The Indifference abhorrently enough to provoke The Indifference's anger. This is most likely why he pursues Entrati so eagerly while only toying with us. In "accepting" His gifts (Void-derived abilities) to us, it most likely put our whole existence and its possibilities at his mercy.
from what i saw the Entrati we meet in the quest IS the real one not the wally copy that seems to have manifested in rusalka. however it appears to be that wally can posses albrecht anyway hence the "You are late" scene i dont think kalimos would be following wally if it wasnt in entratis body. As For why Wally pursues entrati much more than thr tenno i think has something to do with the fact Albrecht flat out refused him where the tenno always took the deal just the end result wally gave all those eternalism paths was different. drifter says it in an email "Kid went left i went right". i think its inevitable that the tenno always takes the deal but what happens to them after the deal is what changes. the main tenno we play is the one from the timeline where they are saved alongside the kids but have the void powers. Drifter is the timeline where they take the deal but dont get saved from the zariman by margulis and is essentially kicked into the warp for hundred or thousands of years where wally made duviri based off their memories and fear.
For Aoi i'd guess it's less encouragement and more like the drifter showed her how to properly use her Mag powers like the Drifter knows that they can be used in the future. Sort of helping her understand how to do it better sort of thing. The noises she makes in that moment sound like a sort of enlightened "oh, that's how that works" sort of feel.
It looks like she snaps the arms in this version, whereas in the first run she just tries pulling them back in against the mechanism. Once they stop retracting, she only has to fight the weight.
I heard in the original loop, she died due to a brain aneurysm due to the strain of her powers being used unoptimized. When the Drifter intervened, she did relax and used her powers more freely like Mag would.
@@acgearsandarms1343Aoi herself confirms it in the quest with the truck. "sorry still not used to....whatever this is." She has a mental block on how effectively she can use her powers. hell infact all the hex have some drawback. eleanor reveals in an email arthur at one point couldnt summon the exalted blade due to emotional damage. And eleanors romance dialogue revealing drifter "guides" them it can be assumed drifter synchs their memories of a mag warframe using their full power effortlessly and this is what lets aoi understand how she can go all out without the brain anurism. same with Amir and his volt powers. he overclocks himself where his heart blows up instea of just slowing down his mind
One thing I love about the story is how it fleshes out the Drifter as a character, and also how it "improves" it. The Drifter was a loner, coming from a temporal bubble, with no friends, no family, heck I bet they can't even call Duviri a home either. But now look at it, they have connected with people in a similar situation, made friendships and get to know this (hopefully) "found family. They even get a room for themselves :D Drifter comes out of this story not just a better character, but I dare say a happier one, which is awesome :D
A lot of dialogue options with the hex build on the idea that drifter didn’t have a home. Drifter wouldn’t call duviri or the zariman a home rather they would say that the hex are the closest he has had to a home.
There's no way Entrati didn't set this up, he learnt the Indifference's weakness, something the Operator already knew, but not the Drifter, he forced the Drifter to realize that by killing the Hex, the Drifter couldn't allow a group similiar to him face that fate, fail so close to succeeding. Entrati could only loop the last day, because he relied on the reactor's explosion for energy, in the message to us he mentioned that he needs a source of energy that is rare in 1999, the Drifter harnesses the energy of the Void and looking at the Drifter's story technically we only seen a fraction of what the Drifter is capable of, just like how early on with the Operator what we saw was just the surface of their powers. I remember reading Quincy - I think it was him - saying how they didn't have their abilities explained and they just had to figure it all out. Aoi also mentioned how she's still not used to "any of this" during the quest. The Drifter has knowledge about.. well essentially all the frames and since at the start the Drifter yeeting into Arthur's head had the Drifter's memories flash up just transfering into them probably shares some knowledge about their powers. With this in mind the Finale makes even more sense imo
Albrecht is a real one. he understood the true power of the Tenno doesn't just come from the Void, it comes from their heart. He said "your heart would struggle to move 'them' and it had to grow" aka The Vessels. he knew he had to let the Tenno go the long way to link with the Hex members to be able to save them.
The Revolver is a skin, the actual weapon being used by Lettie is a Lex. The Lex is a pretty good secondary and it has an incarnon so it can very much melt things.
The drifter is keeping the loop going in 1999, even after this ending. It seems to me like they've effectively set up two ongoing stories, current time, and 1999. The way the map talks about 1999 (the way it refers to holvania separately from 1999) makes me believe we're going to be getting more content in 1999 in the future.
Im loving how the last image has the Drifter around Arthur, Amir, and Aoi, who represent the Tenno and the 3 starter frames we have now. (Loki was a starter frame at one point but was swapped for Volt)
They have, there are 5 members or the band and each one of those Technocyte Coda Liches have completely different animations and probably abilities. We've also seen that depending on which band member they'll have different unique dialogs. Even the weapon system will be different since the Liches themselves won't have the weapons, rather they'll give us the currency to get the weapons.
We've grown enough to pilot THE VESSELS for real. 25 meter tall people, grown by the grey strain, that may potentially even BE the hex, just thousands of years later. Here's the key question though: What in the blasting heck is coming our what that NEEDS something *that* massive?
Yep, it was all a set up from Albrecht, he knew the Drifter wouldn't just let the Hex die, he made a secret final step for the Kalymos Sequence and that caused the Murmur to be expelled completely (as seen by Albrecht and Rusalka disappearing).
1:25 I guess DLC is a fine terminology for it, because you do have to DOWNLOAD the CONTENT to be able to play the game, it's just when people hear "story DLC" they immediately think of Destiny 2's story system.
The secondary weapons the hex use are not new weapons, they are existing weapons but with a skin, and they use the skin as the name of the weapon. Trinity is using a lex lol.
Absolute spoilers》 After talking with eleanor for a bit she tells you she made contact with an alternate universe version of herself looking through the void with her powers, she comes in (not direct) contact with one of the void entities grabbing at her to take control. Im wondering if eleanor is in big risk of being taken control of next in a future update.
Albrecht played this very smart. Xata fass xata: (Truth) Its heralds are the stars it fell. (Chaos) Roiling, moaning, this realm of ours. In madness loss shall die (Truth) The sky and earth aflame Albrecht knew that he unwillingly became the Indifference its herald and he can't stop it. Even in trying to fight it, he will serve it. The Indifference relies on people giving up, losing hope, etc. But it doesn't understand love. Some people say that we should just give it back its fingers, but it still sees us all as specks. As nothing and would still blame everyone for what the Orokin did. Who knows what it'll do if it gets the control over time and space back. It'll destroy the Universe as we know it. But by giving it a heart, making it care even if it's against it's will, it'll care too much about us to destroy us. It needs a vessel to enter our world. Whether it's the operator, Rusalka, Albrecht or Parvos. Albrecht made the Vessels for this purpose. But they are also directly linked the Hex. The vessels have a beating heart and a brain. The Indifference may pocess one, but by empathizing and supporting Arthur, we indirectly made the Indifference pocessing the Vessel feel. And that's what we saw at the end of this segment. Also our present in Warframe exists because of the bad ending, with the bomb going off. But the Drifter took comtrol over 1999 just like how they took control over Duviri. Resetting time prevents the Indifference from progressing to 2000. We created a demilitarized zone in time. We can reset the year over and qgain and won't stop fighting to make Höllvania a better place and rid it of the Indifference its influence before we finally let it progress to 2000.
I find it interesting how Margulis helped the Tenno control their powers. She showed them love like a mother would. I have to wonder if the signs were there in the background.
@@acgearsandarms1343makes sense the whole thing with the tenno waking was growing up out of their permanent childhood. now with the drifter its more a growing out than up. since its confirmed in emails drifter basically ran out of emotions after being in duviri so long. Drifter had to literally regain his emotions to even have the power to escape duviri.
Yes i agree the way the update was made, it was great and they should really just do all future content, or maybe even add to existing content in the same way. Also agree on Amir, really 1 cool moment i woulda liked him a lot more but he got none ;C
