I just received mine and ordered it with the 256gb with pre installed games but…. No SD card shows up under storage and when I open an emulator to search for games it says none detected…. Do you think I received a broken SD card or maybe reader is wrong? It is there a step I’m missing?
Check the card on the PC and see if there is anything on it, and also check there are no issues by scanning the card. Otherwise you may need to contact where you purchased it from.
I got the rg35xx plus and H, for me those devices hit the spot, size, price, and performance, this one looks ok but on that price range and performance would rather invest bit more for a steam deck or buy a retroid pocket 4 pro, screen and ergonomics is only thing worth consider vs the retroid.
yeah, the display is great on the RG556, it just lacks a bit of the performance to keep it competitive with the RP4PRO etc. Some people do prefer a larger screen, especially old retro gamers (like myself) with old eyes, the larger screens do help.
Can you please elaborate on the matte finish on the black vs the glossy on the blue? I’m on the fence on which color to get and would prefer something less slippery if the black is a little more grippy. Is the black a finger print magnet as well? Thank you friend
Matte black is definitely more grippy, and whilst it's not a finger print magnet as soon as you touch the device, basic TLC rules apply: Have clean hands when you start using it, and you should be fine. PS: Not sure how it will fare in 6m to a year, but this isn't ANBERNIC's first matte black ABS device, and we haven't heard complaints about the previous ones.

Can it be connected to a TV or a PC monitor via the droix you put in the review? it's compatible ? or is it only compatible with portable monitors?
Yes, the key here is the USB Docking Station (obviously, we'd recommend our NH8 :), but any USB-C Hub/Dock with a HDMI port would work) as long as the monitor/tv has a HDMI Port (As you would connect the HDMI Cable to the hub and to the monitor)

@@DroiX_StoreReally? What an odd decision. It’s being viewed as better than the RP4 and I was set to buy it from Droix. Makes me think there’s a flaw with the device or perhaps supply issues. Any further info or change of decision would be appreciated.

I’ve had my Anbernic 556 for a couple of Days now, I loaded some PSP Games but get a message: ‘Give PPSSPP permission to access storage’ I have no idea how to get my PSP Games to work? any ideas?

Hi, Rg Launcher has 27 preloaded emulators, is it possible to add more or are you forced to put Daijisho to solve the problem? I would like to be able to use the official launcher by adding other emulators, thanks
I dont think you can add others to the launcher, it covers most systems though. I havent got one on hand to double check. You can use other launchers such as Launchbox for Android etc.

For €200 we can expect Select/Start on top, not the bottom right, can't we? No Linux, no buy.
Handhelds that need fans, are a no go. Ask yourself if your Smartphone needs a fan...?
It is an Android handheld, you can get Linux ones but not with this processor. All of the higher powered handhelds do have fans, but as mentioned in the review, the fan is barely required. From what I remember it barely spun up or was at least audible. We had to set the fan to max speed manually in order to measure the noise.
The sticks are TERRIBLE, they feel clunky and stiff, and work morel like a d-pad, the triggers are equally stiff and clunky feeling, and ps2 emulation is absolute garbage on this thing; it's a piece of junk and a waste of money.
