Spring Kiting at Pismo Beach

- During three days of kiting in the springtime "shoulder season", we had winds one to twenty one plus miles per hour. It was quite a work out at times, but our efforts were appreciated. I am pleased to introduce the orange pan ying glider. It is a gift from my Singapore friend Mr. Wing Lee. I look forward to training with him when he comes stateside.
Featured kites include a KAPfoil 5.0, Kaixuan hammerhead, Gomberg centipede, Premier Mango 36 sled, Kaixuan cobra, Sutton Flowform, Peter Lynn mini stinga, ITW Rocky Mountain delta conyne, four reworked Gomberg battle roks, by Cherie.
A great start to the season, Glenn. It looks as if Cherie was very busy on the sewing machine over the winter months. Well done!
Thanks Jim. Cherie is an absolute treasure! I am hoping for a very season. I think I will be very happy with the KAPfoil 5.
my first impression: GET OUT OF THE WAY! Glenn is flying his glider, eagle and spinner. Just wait when he flies his kites. It is so good to see the beach so active. What a fun day.
Jim, we were surprised, then reminded it was Easter break week for the kids. Too, there were a lot of retired folks taking long walks. I must credit my experience that the eagle and glider didn't drop in expectedly on day trippers. Our camp on the dune was perfect for flying the big stuff. Finally, when we were about to leave for home, the Barbie kites were coming out and running amok as they do. Time for us to retire the good stuff and call it done. There is a good chance we will head your way late summer. Stay well!

Dewey, those who have seen it believe it is RC. When they find out it is done on a winder, they are pretty amazed. Me too!

I will pay for three more gliders of the same quality, or a 1.1 or 1.2 eagle or two if available. Please give it some thought. No gift, please. Sales only. Wonderful to see you both back at Pismo beach and a great mix of kites. Love the way you flew the glider. I am just catching up on videos after a two week car trip to the North Island. Will show some of the kite flying soon in a new video.

Nick, it pulled like a Mac truck! Cherie and I will need to finesse the takedown. I have a method, but when I went back to adjust the sand anchor, the figure 8 ring became unavailable. That thousand pound Climax line segment doubled and clipped in between bol and anchor really gives a lot of rise. We will have to chat qbout next month.

The panying glider flys well and the carbon eagle looks like a real eagle in flight. You fly them well. The filming (by Cherrie?) is very good. Glenn, thanks for this delightful video 👍
Hi, it has been a long time. Yes Cherie filmed it. She says it is very hard to see them from the side. She does a really good job. Flying eagles and now gliders brings me a lot of satisfaction. Thanks Chen.
Glenn you fly extremely good this plane kite. How many cost this plane is it only a glider or made extra for panying . There are very great kites good Video. Frohe Ostern 😊
Guten tag! Thank you for kind words. Glider is made special for panying style. Will not work unless used with stick and wheel winder. Search Taobao. Mine was a gift so no online link to share. Made in China. Cherie does good camera work. I love my wife!
