Bought a new one from Spotty today using the voucher and it’s a half price day . All up $70. Comes with 5 tips. Thanks for the great no nonsense video.
Love the suggestion to use bias tape maker tips you can buy online to supplement the tip that comes with the Simplicity Bias Tape Machine. I just got the Bias Tape Maker machine, and the Simplicity tips available for it are ridiculously expensive.. But the work-around in this video, using the inexpensive bias tape maker tips available are a good alternative. One extra suggestion if you don't want to remove the metal ring and file down the plastic insert on them is to just turn them over, so the plastic insert is facing upward and so is the folded side of the bias tape. The tip will lay flat with no alteration if it's taped down or Scotch double sided tape is put underneath. The heating elements inside the creasing part of the machine irons both sides, and the rollers roll both sides regardless of which side of the bias tape is facing up, so the result is as good as using the original tip(s)--I tried both. What a great video, though-it opens up more possibilities without spending a fortune on tips.
Fabulous tutorial. Thank you for showing this, i have wondered if it's worth it. I do mostly 2.5" tape so I will look for the proper foot. Thanks for the tip in using different tape pieces. Priceless... Babs near Tombstone AZ USA
I have one that I bought several years ago and only used it recently and loved it. I typically use my serger with the bias binder feet. For people that do very long bias strips there is a simplicity "the winder" that works along with the bias tape machine. What it does is re-wind the bias strips onto spindles
Thanks for the detailed video. I got one from Market place. Brand new! $20. Mine has two ironing cover pieces but only 2 sizes of heads. 4/32 and 1inch. I have a thingy for adding piping too. More research needed I think. I like the idea of using my manual heads and a little fiddling with hubby and adding tape!
I just sent for one of them and thank you for a great video for the adaptation. Can't believe how expensive the separate tips are. I'll report back when I've used it!
Thankyou so much for the video i just purchased one from Facebook marketplace $100 inc postage so im happy now to use it , i didnt realise it only came with one tip but i have a set like yours which i will try to adapt, thankyou for explaining how to do it 😊
Omg, what a find!! Have just started using bias binding and trying to make my own has me frustrated (being 69 y.o. is probably the reason there). Such a great little machine. Thanks!
Love your video and how you made your own different sizes. I have a machine but have not used it yet as I misplaced the instructions. Yours were great. God bless!
Fantastic! I was given a new in the box one that the original owner lost the directions for and she could never figure out how to use. I watched two other videos and couldn't get it to work. The trick was that starting bit that you sacrifice. The other videos never said that! Game changer! Rolled out a massive amount of binding in 5 minutes! Thank you!
Great video thanks. I’ve wanted one of these for while but the only ones I can see are on eBay from USA and really expensive like $400 to $500. I’m from Australia 🇦🇺 and I’m also assuming these would have an American power cords 🔌
Hi Candid. They are a great little machine. Mine has the standard Australian plug. I got mine of either market place or eBay I can quite remember. Keep hunting. Check out the destashing Facebook pages. You might strike it luck.
Do you have any thoughts on whether you could do this with a laminating machine? Perhaps stick one of those ebay tips down on the front or on a table and manually help feed through? I agree that most shop-bought bias tapes are very boring!
Terrific video and much appreciated. Is there any workaround for doing a second fold? Specifically taking 1" single fold and running it through again for 1/2" double fold.
It’s been awhile since I have used it due to a back injury. But from memory it made it to think to go through the bias clips. But you can free hand feed it through the machine and it will iron roll it in half for you.
I just picked up this machine at a church yard for 2 dollars. They had lost the cord and couldn't test it and didn't actually know what it was so they let have it for 2 bucks! :)))
@@DitzyBellzzCrafting My son had one for his PS2 system, so he let me borrow it to see if it worked and it worked perfectly. It actually looks brand new. I ordered a cord for it on Amazon. I went looking for the smaller thingys that make narrower bias but Amazon didn't have any so I checked ebay and they were selling for 40-60+ a piece!? I'll just do what you did, and adapt the ones I already have to fit if I need them.
That I am not sure of sorry because I’m in Australia. Mine I purchased second hand online. I think google will be your biggest assistant for your answer. But when you do please come back and let others know where and how you got yours.
Our apologies. It was one of the first videos the ladies had made and were learning themselves. Sadly once it up we haven’t worked out how to lower the music in the background. Scott
Lady, you are worrying me. You've left the hot iron in the enclosed box for way too long already through your demo and talk. I would have not closed it off altogether until it cooled completely first.

That’s a fantastic tip. Thank you for sharing.
@@DitzyBellzzCrafting Another tip: "Light Finish" spray starch! Helps to crisp up the folds without stiffness.
Thanks for the great tip 👍
Wow this is one of the best videos ever she saved me so much money by showing me the trick with the other tips!!! Thanks so much

BRILLIANT IDEA- to adapt the other size bias tape guides.
Thank you. Glad it helped you.
Genius! Thank you so much for the tip on adapting the ‘normal’ tips.
I just sent for one of them and thank you for a great video for the adaptation. Can't believe how expensive the separate tips are. I'll report back when I've used it!
Congratulations. I’m sure you will love it if you do lots of bias

You are very welcome. I’m glad it helped you. I love my machine.
I LOVE this little machine.
Love your video and how you made your own different sizes. I have a machine but have not used it yet as I misplaced the instructions. Yours were great. God bless!
This machine is selling for over 300 hundred dollars now!!! On amazon , its listed at over 450 bucks.
Thank you for the demo.
Do you think the machine would handle denim fabric to make strips or weaving?
Excellent demonstration I had this machine quite a while not used ofl late but watching your you tube I was able to use it again thanks
Sorry for the late reply. I’m glad we were able to assist you in using your bias maker.
Great tip for adapting, I’m looking to get a machine but wasn’t excited to pay the price (~US$70-120 +S&H) for each extra tip 😂
Hi Sam. It sure can get pricey. I found these to do exactly the same job for much less. ✂️ Louise
What an awesome tutorial! I have only discovered this machine today and you have this fantastic clip! I now have to find one 👍🏼 online in 🇦🇺 Thank You

Great video, thank you very much. Just an observation for the future - please lose the music! It’s incredibly annoying and distracting 😊
I have one of the early ones that you pull through yourself! Didn’t know about the automatic! I’m jealous!
Keep a look out on eBay and other sites for a used one. Fingers crossed you find one soon. Regards Scott
can you do single fold binding?
Nice demo

Oh I just looked it up. That’s fantastic. Might be putting that on my sales list. Thank you for sharing

Супер штука!!!!
This is great but I bought the winder so much faster 😂😂
If you're lazy like me , there's no need to even roll the fabric up the spool 🤣🤣
Anyone in the Dallas area? I have a brand new one and had no idea what it was for. I can give you a good deal on it.
How much? Do you have additional tips?
Available?
Is this sold?
Aaron Ramirez interested. Cost please
