Quilter's Choice QC 300 Sewing Machine Unboxing
I have one of this but it does not work.
Lovely and clear
Aldi has the lamp again today, I thought I check for the reviews first and then saw your video. Thanks ladies! Will go and grab 1 later, hopefully it’s still there!!!
How did you go. Did. You manage to get one.
Yes I did! I finally have my craft lights and the magnifying glass did help especially with the needles. Thanks again!
You’re very welcome. We are really happy that we could help you out. Hubby took my second one to his shed. ~ Lou
i got mine from spotty about 4 yrs ago. its done hundreds of masks during the pandemic and all my market stuff and she still going strong!!!😍 do they sell them anywhere anymore?
Hey great video. Super informative. You skimmed over the piling process. Where do you put oil in?
Thanks for the detailed video. I got one from Market place. Brand new! $20. Mine has two ironing cover pieces but only 2 sizes of heads. 4/32 and 1inch. I have a thingy for adding piping too. More research needed I think. I like the idea of using my manual heads and a little fiddling with hubby and adding tape!
I LOVE this little machine.
Fabulous tutorial. Thank you for showing this, i have wondered if it's worth it. I do mostly 2.5" tape so I will look for the proper foot. Thanks for the tip in using different tape pieces. Priceless... Babs near Tombstone AZ USA
How do you use this with a sewing machine
Nice demo
I purchased this for my mum a few months ago… but we have both realised that the needle is always to the right… it can still be threaded with the autothreader…so I’m not sure why it is never aligned in the centre, even when sewing a straight stitch. As far as I can tell, there’s no switch or dial for horizontal needle position…or have we missed something crucial??
Do you know where I can get user manual for quilters choice, purchased secondhand with no manual.
Lady, you are worrying me. You've left the hot iron in the enclosed box for way too long already through your demo and talk. I would have not closed it off altogether until it cooled completely first.
Thank you for the demo. Do you think the machine would handle denim fabric to make strips or weaving?
Hi, thanks for your video. Have you used a walking foot on this machine?
Just bought one on special at Spotlight
Thank you for your video <3 I've had my Elna 40, for about 13 years now and you are teaching me something new :) l love it, my machine have just started using it again and getting back into quilting, thanks for sharing and happy sewing :)
Superb and thanks.
Hi there, I have just purchased the Quilter's Choice, and seem to be having problems either threading the top of the machine, or threading the bobbin thread. This is the first machine that I have experienced problems with the threading process, and it is also the first Janome I have owned, but I have been sewing for about 40 years. I have followed your threading video, but the top thread is the one that seems to be giving the problems, with the thread forming loops on the underside of the sewing. I haven't had this problem previously, & I am thinking off visiting a Janome dealer & requesting their assistance; but I am hoping that you might have a simple fix for me! Thank you in anrticipation! Regards Xiang
Hi. Sorry to hear you’re having problems. When threading the top thread do you have the foot up. When threading make sure the foots up as it opens the tension. When you slide the thread through the tension make sure it goes in deep so when you start sewing the tension closes when you drop the foot. Let me know how you go.
@@DitzyBellzzCrafting Thanks for your reply, I returned to the place of purchase, & as I thought it was a very easy fix. It turned out that I had simply wrapped the upper thread around in a step that was for loading the bobbin, so once that step was removed, my machine now sews perfectly. It was only the difference between 2 different makes of machines, that set me on the wrong track; but I thank you for your assistance, now I only ned to put a new info track in my brain, & delete an old one! 🤣😂🤣
If you're lazy like me , there's no need to even roll the fabric up the spool 🤣🤣
The music was soooo annoying. Great video though.
Is it good for reading fine print?
Hi yes it’s great for reading fine print and getting splitters out.
Great video, thank you very much. Just an observation for the future - please lose the music! It’s incredibly annoying and distracting 😊
Thank you very much 💜😘💜
can you do single fold binding?
I have one that I bought several years ago and only used it recently and loved it. I typically use my serger with the bias binder feet. For people that do very long bias strips there is a simplicity "the winder" that works along with the bias tape machine. What it does is re-wind the bias strips onto spindles
Gracias por este video, se ve muy padre su máquina, cuál es?, También me gustó mucho su alfiletero, de que material son las patitas?
It doesn't look like you are making videos anymore but just wanted to say that I finally got around to getting my (now) old Elina 40 out to use it more regularly and had forgotten so much. Seeing this was so helpful. I was also able to find free to download manuals for the Magnolia 7330 including a service manual. I had no idea my Elna was a rebadge. So thank you so so much.
Does anyone know where to buy another set of presser feet for this machine please?
I just purchased this machine second hand but all of the feet are missing. Does anyone know where to buy feet please?
Hi Christine, eBay is your best and cheapest place. Honestly, hand on heart I have the originals and loads I’ve bought on eBay for a dollar or two and you can not tell the difference. If they say suits Janome or brother it will fit. Spotlight also sell a box of semco feet if you need it now. They will say they don’t fit but they do. The walking foot from semco isn’t bad either. It’s a great machine. Just make sure you clean the lint out of the bobbin regularly. Regards. Scott.
@@DitzyBellzzCrafting That's awesome information. Thank you Scott. I wasn't sure if there was another brand of feet that would suit. Thanks so much!
I have just checked out the baby lock videos and when you are threading the needle between section 2 and 3 you are going the wrong side of the little metal piece.
Bought a new one from Spotty today using the voucher and it’s a half price day . All up $70. Comes with 5 tips. Thanks for the great no nonsense video.
Happy to be of assistance. Scott
Unfortunately the annoying music makes this very difficult to hear and the music isn't necessary: your explanation is enough.
Our apologies. It was one of the first videos the ladies had made and were learning themselves. Sadly once it up we haven’t worked out how to lower the music in the background. Scott
Thankyou so much for the video i just purchased one from Facebook marketplace $100 inc postage so im happy now to use it , i didnt realise it only came with one tip but i have a set like yours which i will try to adapt, thankyou for explaining how to do it 😊
I’m glad it was easy for you to understand. Little tricks makes sewing a little easier. Scott
Thank you your video was the best out of all of them I watched! I like the way the collar turned out on the one I just did better than before
We are happy to hear that it helped you. Scott
Do you have any thoughts on whether you could do this with a laminating machine? Perhaps stick one of those ebay tips down on the front or on a table and manually help feed through? I agree that most shop-bought bias tapes are very boring!
i am missing something - i laid the shirt out flat - i tucked a portion down and sewed the shoulder and closed the collar- but when i tuck the pillow in to see how the fit is - it does not go past that seam at the shoulder collar so there is a lot of extra fabric flopping around - cant post a picture but i could use some help
Please can anyone tell me if this has the 2 holes to attach a proper binding feeder attachment to this? Not a useless binder foot (useless or stretch and jersey fabric). I want to buy this but if this is not an option its a deal breaker.
Sorry for my slow reply. It doesn’t seam too. Looks like it only takes the binding foot. If I find out any more information I will let you know. Scott.
This was really helpful, thank you.
The music is too loud. Makes it difficult to hear the instructions!
Great tutorial, would be nice to show close up when you stitched the collar up, wasn’t clear exactly where you stitched.
This was a great video and not just for this machine but I actually realised I was threading my bobbin wrong this whole entire time. So thanks for such a great in depth video.
Love your video and how you made your own different sizes. I have a machine but have not used it yet as I misplaced the instructions. Yours were great. God bless!
This machine is selling for over 300 hundred dollars now!!! On amazon , its listed at over 450 bucks.
Can you advise me how to change the build on this machine. I cannot find anything in the manual. The light is flickering and driving me nuts. Thanks Suzy
you don't discuss what feet that come with machine and the letter on that foot i have lost the foot that comes with the machine witch the letter is not listed can you help me please
Apologies for the late reply. This isn’t the exact manual but it’s the same for feet and instructions on what they do. I hope this is help full for you. Regards Scott. new.elna.com/master-en-website/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2018/01/5-2-3_Inst_Book_EX570_E.pdf.
I have one of the early ones that you pull through yourself! Didn’t know about the automatic! I’m jealous!
Keep a look out on eBay and other sites for a used one. Fingers crossed you find one soon. Regards Scott
I have previously always used Frixion pens or tailor's chalk for white, Burt I'm seriously considering making the switch to Chaco pens now! Thanks for your thorough video. Very helpful!
Glad we could help. Regards Kassie
I just sent for one of them and thank you for a great video for the adaptation. Can't believe how expensive the separate tips are. I'll report back when I've used it!
Congratulations. I’m sure you will love it if you do lots of bias
Hi, thank you for the you tube tutorial - found it really helpful. When using stitch number 5, I have found my machine to still only sewing a single stitch. What am I doing wrong?
Did you change the zig zag to a wider number i
Have you a tutorial on how to make a buttonhole on the quilters choice
Hi Kevin no sorry I don’t. But look up “baby lock Jazz” it’s the same machine
