Well done! This is exactly what I was looking to build!
I built an outdoor table and put steel adjustable pads on the legs to get them off the ground (patio) and prohibits moisture absorption. Also, look into a kreg jig, it will get rid of most if not all of that putty work and creates a stronger joint. Great idea on the table, I think I will do the same thing!
Thanks very much. Great idea and well-described.
Great video! Thanks Brian.
Thank you for sharing. I have been looking for a solution and this is it.
Thanks for the video you make a very easy to follow guide.
Great Work.... Im going to take this task on.
This is an awesome idea!!
TIP: paint on Titebond 3 wood glue which is waterproof on the bottom of the legs.
Nice job!
Awesome !
where did you order the metal ring from?
Brian, good looking build! What model Solo Stove do you have?
Does this give much radiant heat from the sides (warm up your legs?)
Thanks for sharing the mistakes! That's helpful
That is soooo valuable.
Other than ordering the steel flange has anyone found an alternative at Homedepot or lowes?
Overall how much in materials ? Where did you find the ring ? Thanks
Do you sell these?
Hi Brian - Love this. I just made a similar table. How is this holding up? I used non-pressure treated wood and stained, but I'm also considering hitting it with some minwax to further protect it. Would love to get your thoughts on that.
I don't think more could hurt it at all. Mine is holding up just fine through the Midwest winter. When it gets warmer out I will probably add another coat of high heat paint to the steel ring/flange. It's showing just a tad bit of rust around one spot that I maybe didn't get enough.
whihc diameter is you steel ring?
Which size flange did you order? Thanks
For the solo, I mean. My ring is 19" and not sure whether to buy the 19" one since it states female id 19 and 1/8, or to get the 20".Thanks
@@peterahebert What size did you get? I have the same Solo as you and I'm about to build my table. I had the same question about the flange size. Did yours work out?
Thanks - this is great! Exactly what I need. What size of Breeo is this? The x series 24?
Correct, the 24.
Any reason you used a spacer instead of just butting the boards up against eachother?
2 Reasons.
1. Aesthetics.
2. The boards are going to move depending on the temperature, humidity, etc. They're going to create gaps then, so I might as well create them now and keep them relatively uniform. Wood moves.
@@BrianFischer the wood movement, specifically shrinkage, was what I had in mind with my question. I was concerned of the gaps getting too wide this way, but also didn't know if being around the fire pit, there was another reason other than aesthetics. Either way, it looks sweet my man.
Is there a concern of the table catching fire?
Nope, that's the purpose of the steel ring and automotive tape.
Can I buy one from you???
Sure! Shoot me an email: brian(at)fischerwebsolutions.com
Can this sit on a deck?
I’m just dumb and thinking this pit belongs in a hole on my deck haha
