This episode absolutely broke my heart, Poor Powder, Poor Vi so much happened at once. ALSO, sorry for all the Viktor slander, I promise I had a change of heart down the road. 😂
I'd like to apologize, my previous comment was just curiosity about people in general distrusting Viktor, I wasn't trying to call you out specifically.
Thought the same, the voice actress for little powder was amazing, then we have too many time jumps and a lot of things happen that would have benefited from more episodes, sometimes it felt more like a compilation of important moments than a progression and evolution of events in time
*really tiny spoiler but not really* yeah ooook i mean not trying to ruin anything but he litterally says "there is always a choice" then goes on to make a really bad moral choice. the hypocrisy in that episode was wild. Acording to her patreon shes past that point. All characters are grey some are more good some are more bad. but all of them are a shade of grey.
The thing that sets Arcane apart for me, aside from the gorgeous visuals, stunning music, and top tier voice acting, is really the writing. The characters just feel so unique and alive, they’re all important, and there’s just seemingly no wasted air time. Everything on the screen is there for a reason. Every character gets their chance to shine. Every line of dialogue has implications. It’s next level.
A LOT of people express outright hate for Powder at this point, but that's irrational. I'm glad you were mature enough to understand what's going on here. She's like what, 10 or 11? She already had emotional and mental health issues due to the death of her parents. As far as Silco being responsible for everything, it's not that cut and dry. Vander was part of a war that got Vi and Powder's parents killed in the first place. He changed once he saw the two girls and realized how his actions affected people. He changed even more over time after taking them in. Vander betraying Silco also pushed Silco off the deep end and made him worse. A lot of people also think Silco is just being completely evil and intending to use Powder at this point, but it's clear that he actually identifies with her, regardless of whatever else he's thinking. He saw Vander as his brother who betrayed him.
THANK YOU the fandom is quick to paint Silco as nothing but pure evil, which he sort of is, but they never acknowledge Vander and his sins, his actions indirectly got his children killed, all because he broke Silcos heart by trying to kill him in the worst way possible.
To be fair the upper city's mistreatment of the entire undercity is the spark that caused Silco and Vander's war against Piltover. The both took the loss differently but if they weren't abusing an entire subset of people in the city non of this happens. I love your reaction here, this is one of the episodes I use to see if I wanna watch the rest of a reactors material. You are so heartfelt and genuine that I can't help but check out your other vids.
I just finished season one for the second time today and as much as I love Mob, OP and anime in general, Arcane is such a masterpiece. Voiceacting and Animations are so damn good I dont even have words. Im so glad I can watch u seeing it for the first time
One of my favorite things about all of your reactions is the depth of your emotions. I'm looking forward to witnessing the rest of your Arcane journey... as you get closer to joining all of us, somewhere between topside and the underground, with each violin note. 🎻
Amazing reaction! This episode is so raw and tragic. The voice acting is chilling, the girl who played young powder there was exceptional! Looking forward to the next episodes! Got a sub from me!
Ep. 3 is definitely the hardest, because they've done a phenomenal job of setting viewers up with a false sense of security. Not like the rest is all smooth sailing but this is easily the biggest shock.
Yeah, I'm a guy and when I saw Powder's innocence broken and being left by the one person, she truly loved made me choke up, but I couldn't get mad at Vi either. I ended up with a "Boxer's fracture" and a bill for the wood beam in the wall that had to get replaced lol.
Yeah that's what you get when you're watching a blind reaction. I also appreciate it, when it feels like the reaction is sincere and not just playing to what you expect the audience wanting to hear. And besides, I'm convinced that the writers very intentionally set us up with quite a few characters in the show, fulfilling common tropes just to prove us wrong. 😉
Got to put you at the top 3 for reacting to this episode you seem very genuine with your reaction and show emotion you don't talk at the important scenes and id say not doing it for the subs you a doing a great job as a realctor and I will check out more from you
I know that you're a few episodes ahead by now so maybe you've already come to this conclusion, but if not...try not to think of the characters and their motives as "good/bad". Everyone in this show is more nuanced than something as simple as that, which is what makes them all SO relatable. Sure, some are leaning more towards one side or the other, but every "good" character has done or will do something bad and every "bad" character has justified reasons for doing what they do. The writing and plot on this show is top tier.
I love how every reaction video of this episode starts with a person smiling ear to ear and ends in profound pain and suffering on their faces. Honestly, same
Big thanks for your reaction, loved it a lot! 🥰 We can feel your tension/stress because during the majority of the episode, you can barely stay in your chair. I'm really looking forward for the next episode👍
“another one bites the dust infamous Arcane episode 3 is completely wrrrrrrrrecking her right now.” …and I’m here for it. Thanks for sharing the raw emotion. It’s a tragic masterpiece top to bottom, inside and out. Peak entertainment media that’s effectively ruined me on most everything else. Enjoy. ¡Viva Fortiche!
Damn.. I immediately checked to see if you had posted episode four yet… I will be checking back for that one guaranteed! I subbed after watching this reaction… I am about to go back and watch your first two episodes

Thats why we said u werent ready == It was relatively chill first 2 episodes, but this one hits like a train. It will get sligthly better. But i would like to state - most of characters in this show and world of Runeterra in general are rarely pure evil or good, more like morally grey. There is some right and wrong in all points of view. There is however, some that are good or evil. But they arent in show. Keep it together, there is more ahead))) Good luck))
The End of Season 1 Act 1: The Prologue, everything changes from here and the Show Starts for Real now. This was just a taste, you’ve still had seen nothing yet.
Many people's first reaction to Viktor- me being one of those people- was that he was evil. I also had suspicion that he was going to take advantage of what Jayce has done and not only use it for his own agenda, but also take all the credit. This was mainly because he looked similar to Silco (lanky and pointy features) and I thought he was his son (lmao), and also because him reaching out his hand to help Jayce with hextech just felt too good to be true; to good for it to not have any ulterior motive. But in the end, of course, we were wrong about him, and what happened maybe even partially opposite. Viktor was the one being mentioned less- if not forgotten- when it comes to talks about hextech. And while this may somehow appear reasonable because Jayce started the project and even made a lot of research on it already, it still doesn't remove the fact that Viktor helped in making this thing work, and like Jayce said; they're partners.
This reaction kinda hurt to watch, NGL. I knew this episode would take you by surprise but it was hard to see it affect you this much. Episode 3 is brutal. But believe me when I say you absolutely want to keep watching. The hardest part is over. It keeps getting better from here on out.
I'm surprised by your reaction with vander (for vi and powder i totally get though), you weren't nearly as much emotional with some of the really sad stuff that happens near the end of vinland saga (arnheid and such), which were far more impactful at least to me. I'm curious what touched you more here in particular! Yes i know, two different shows, different characters, still i'm curious
I began watching it expecting a happy go lucky shallow disney show that was overhyped, first 2 episodes kind of seemed that way, ep 3 boy was i wrong 😅
i mean viktor going down a very very very very questionable path. That acording to heimerdinger has the potential to end civilisations, all for a selfish reasons. Sooooooooooooo theres that. Sometimes the worst things can come from the best intentions.
Everybody tends to put all the blame on Powder for this tragic outcome but its mostly Vi's fault because Powder asked Vi about telling Vander that they have the hexstones and Vi told her to keepit a secret.
Yeah especially when Heimerdinger comes in with the warmest heart, pleading "my dead boys, please stop this dangerous research", and she immediately overrules him , with her face covered in shadows "No, maybe the time for magic has come".

On the bright side, you were right to be nervous about the gems.

I mean it's perfectly warranted if you know where he ends up. But everyone acts like hindsight isn't 20/20.
