I'm on my 2nd rewatch of this show and there is one thing I'd like to draw attention to: The score. Not the soundtrack, that everybody is gushing about. When the most fitting songs show up during scenes or credits (like in this episode). No I mean the actual score. You don't pay that much attention to it at first but upon rewatch you hear how motifs are connected how stuff is foreshadowed at times, it's just as great as everything else in this shpw.
In this point, we can't say that Jinx is copycat, her development's arc is very different of Harley, even from the beginning. She is traumatized since childhood and her emotional wounds have been made for the circumstances, no for being in love with a mad men. There are such a difference like the sky and the ground.
As someone who just found your channel as it popped up recommended with all the Arcane adjacent stuff I watch on here, I can't speak to why those who have been here awhile wanted you to watch it. I can say, the reason I love the show and love sharing it is because it creates a connection. It's such a raw show, and they paint things so realistically, the characters having understandable motives and choices. There's pain, but there's also beauty and hope. It paints existence as this tangled mess of chance and choice that's real. I've never had a show make me cry, both good and bad, more times than this one. I've also never had a show that I've spent so many hours talking with my friends about, exploring the choices and the emotions and just becoming more aware of what it means to struggle to be a good person in a society sometimes. Haven't had a show in a long time connect me as deeply with others as this one. Hopefully you enjoy the ride as well. :)

I know anti-science may be popular now with all the maga morons out there emboldened with the orange clown becoming president who don't respect scientists at all but men and women of science are the ones who push us forward. It may not be always safe but risk is part of some discoveries.
"This show is gonna ruin me". Yeah... if you are saying that now, then yes. This is just the beginning. Also, so good to see a reactor actually REACT without blurting out words and comments every 2 seconds.
I hope you don't stop watching this show. Arcane teachme love the life, already love the live but its more stronger than before. Friendship, thrust, honesty and hope. The ep 4 maybe can reconfort in part.
This episode is heartbreaking and amazing and well written, but it's not surprising. Powder is a small child who makes BOMBS for a hobby. her sister encourages it and Vander certainly never stops it. It was inevitable that she would eventually kill innocent people, most likely ones she cared about.
This is the episode where everyone goes, "Oh... now I think I get it." Where you realize the show has been using familiar tropes to feed you false expectations. You've been manipulated to expect a heroic triumph by underdogs. Surprise! It's a tragic villain origin. It's a masterful and shocking rug pull. On a side note, also, the sound editing during that last scene, with the cold, sopping wet patter of rain on cloth and cement, and the soft crackle of fire in the background while Silco comforts Powder, gets me every time I watch. It's both cathartic and chilling at the same time. Simply one of the best episodes of television ever made.

You seem open minded & coming from a place of curiosity. Try not to let prejudice cause you to overlook the intricacies of characters you might deem as malevolent or bad. Im suggesting it because you”ll truly take in this show in a comprehensive & rewarding way if you understand & open up to the detailed interactions between characters. I’ve seen reactors jump to conclusions & let their emotions dictate all of their rational mind, this show isn’t as impactful of a cathartic experience if watched with a closed minded & bigoted perspective. Second season is more of a scintillating treat too!
I'd be lying if i said Arcane doesn't have anything harder to watch than this episode... BUT, as low as the lows are... the highs are higher... and it's worth the journey. this might not make sense yet... but it will when you are done: Arcane Season 2, is the show. Arcane Season 1 is required, so you understand Season 2... like a prequel, kind of. Arcane Season 1, ep1-3 is required, so you understand Season ep4-9... like a prequel, kind of. i mean, all sequential stories would seem to fit that description "you have to watch one episode to understand the next".... but I think Arcane is different. The first season is really about allowing you to understand the 2nd... unlike other shows there is no way you could jump into season 2 and piece together what's happening. And the same is true for episodes 4-9 of season 1.... it would be impossible to understand without 1-3
what? No spoilers.... but no. I think this show went over your head. - (kayla, this is not a direct spoiler, but hints at a key thematic element you may want to discover as you watch) I'd argue the antagonist of Arcane isn't even a person... watch the Episode 6 of Season 2 again I wont say what it is specifically because ... spoilers. but in the final spoken line of the episode.... a character says flat out what it is... and concludes that it is "our greatest evil."
I understand the hate for Marcus, I do. I don't think he deserves all the hate that he gets though. But I agree he deserves what he gets in the story. He starts out as a hothead who's out to prove himself. Perhaps he would have turned out ok with a few more years under Grayson's wing. But he makes a deal with a man he doesn't understand in an attempt to appease the council and he gets double-crossed in that deal to boot. Spoilers ahead: He tries to atone for his failings by saving Vi in the only way he can think of and he tries to follow Grayson's example of keeping the peace by working with Silco. But the dynamic is much different; he has no leverage in this relationship and Silco is not Vander. And by the way, Marcus HATES Silco. He would kill Silco given the chance but for the fact that Marcus is a father, a SINGLE father, who would orphan his daughter if he didn't succeed. And when Silco learns of Marcus' one transgression, he uses this pressure point to bend him completely to his will. Everything Marcus does after that is to protect his daughter. Ultimately he's simply an average man of no special talent or ability who made a bad choice early in his career and digs himself into a hole that he can never get out of. He may even be on the cusp of redeeming himself until Silco threatens him where he lives. After all, is there anything so undoing as a daughter?
@@Todrick451 I think the show went over YOUR head. The character who said that ultimately realizes that they were wrong about that in the end. The villains and antagonists in the show are certainly people. The fact that they have sympathetic motivations doesn't change the fact that they're villains.
@ I have two daughters, and yes they can be and are undoing. I just have no sympathy for a man who out of his own insecurities would choose to put his family into such a situation. Pretty much all other characters I can see their POV to one degree or another. He’s just an asshole.

This Is Like The Worst Thing That Could Have Happened: The Series
You should add all of these to a playlist, then it will autoplay the next one when we watch the older ones. this leading us to stay on your content.
They are already in a playlist!
People like jace always think if they could but never if they should. Just like scientists of the real world.
And why they shouldn't exactly? I know anti-science may be popular now with all the maga morons out there emboldened with the orange clown becoming president who don't respect scientists at all but men and women of science are the ones who push us forward. It may not be always safe but risk is part of some discoveries.
season 1 is a master-piece 10/10
"This show is gonna ruin me". Yeah... if you are saying that now, then yes. This is just the beginning.
Also, so good to see a reactor actually REACT without blurting out words and comments every 2 seconds.
18:57 no spoilers ofc as i think shes only on episode 5.. but yall look at this, thats insane
yes... it's the thing Viktor and Jayce build with hextech... in miniature
Not much of a spoiler... it's in the first 5 minutes of the next episode.
@Todrick451 wrong, not what im referring to
The gear... Yep.
@@nighthiker YEP, BINGO
Great authentic reaction! Enjoy the pain :) you’re now an honorary masochist!
Guys give the video a like it helps with algorithm a lot. I know her channel because of algorithm. Love her reaction, sincerely from an Arcane fan❤
I hope you don't stop watching this show.
Arcane teachme love the life, already love the live but its more stronger than before.
Friendship, thrust, honesty and hope.
The ep 4 maybe can reconfort in part.
when you will be done with season 1 and think there can't be anything more traumatizing then s2 hits you in the face xD
28:04 Anyone ever wonder why Marcus is walking around with a bottle of chloroform in his pocket? This guys is hella suss..... 😅😅
Better than clubbing her unconscious I suppose.
This episode is heartbreaking and amazing and well written, but it's not surprising. Powder is a small child who makes BOMBS for a hobby. her sister encourages it and Vander certainly never stops it. It was inevitable that she would eventually kill innocent people, most likely ones she cared about.
The best summary for this episode is:
And then it gets worse.
Welcome to the episode that both broke and hooked fans.
Buckle up and hold on tight...
also Marcus the crooked cop was the one that took Vi away.
22:00 oh yeah, spoilers, kids aren't safe either in this show. 😂
Youll be amazed by the complexity of Silco´s character and the not so nice vander seems to be, amazing show.
"This show is going to destroy me"
You're only one episode three.. you have no idea...
This episode gave me some serious game of thrones ned stark episode vibes. When its like i thought that was one of the main characters! And poof. Done-zo.
Really just curious, how did you render your youtube intro? 3d animation? Hand drawn? I just think it's beautiful artistry.
Oh you’re in for a treat.
you're not ready for what's next. the serie is all about breaking you
Ok, so ehm...the emotional gut punches are here to stay...it just hurts so good. 😅 This episode is one of the most brutal ones though, so congratulations on making it to the other side.
Now get ready for the ride of a lifetime. 😎
I guess this goes without saying, but you're so super pretty
Episode 3 AKA Emotional Damage
28:11 to protect her from Silco
Nice makeup
12:49 Yes.
kaylaaa..... how we feeelinnnnggg ? lol
Emotional Damage 😊
Melanie martinez watching arcane?? Hahaha😂 ❤ i love this video
Episode 3 claims another victim lol
-This show gonna ruin me. I mean yeah, 25 minutes later, actualy
I wish I never touched Arcane🙂
Vander!! :(
that was only season 1 lol if you think its good now just wait
u will need therapy after arcane hehe
I'd be lying if i said Arcane doesn't have anything harder to watch than this episode...
BUT, as low as the lows are... the highs are higher... and it's worth the journey.
this might not make sense yet... but it will when you are done:
Arcane Season 2, is the show.
And the same is true for episodes 4-9 of season 1.... it would be impossible to understand without 1-3
I adore this show.
I loathe marcus. He & Ambessa are the antagonists IMO. You’ll get there. 😉
what?
No spoilers.... but no.
I think this show went over your head.
- (kayla, this is not a direct spoiler, but hints at a key thematic element you may want to discover as you watch)
I'd argue the antagonist of Arcane isn't even a person...
watch the Episode 6 of Season 2 again
I wont say what it is specifically because ... spoilers.
but in the final spoken line of the episode.... a character says flat out what it is... and concludes that it is "our greatest evil."
@ uh-hu
You got it all sorted. 😉
Spoilers ahead:
He tries to atone for his failings by saving Vi in the only way he can think of and he tries to follow Grayson's example of keeping the peace by working with Silco.
Hey drop your Mike a bit. It blocks off a lot of your face.
it gets me every time...ooh u rewatched it like 14 times there u go onions are natural arcane is humane 🤧🥲 arcane is the only show so far that when someone hasn't tell u to brace ur self u cant blame them
