@@MeeshDeeReacts The VA said in the making of "Arcane: Bridging the Rift" (I highly recommend you watch it after finishing season 1) that she thought about, how it would feel to loose her younger brother and all these emotions that we hear came up. She is 16 or 17 years old by now. I think that is so crazy
Paraphrasing Christian Linke, one of the creators: "Today, I'll be making an eleven year old girl cry repeatedly." (As it turned out, apparently she made several of the people watching her, cry.) I'm pretty sure on one of the interviews I've seen, they said her voice acting was given as an example to other voice actors on the show for the level of quality they wanted - I fell like every one of them delivered their best.
I'm not sure if you noticed this, but just didn't comment on it: Silco looked ready to kill Powder (holding a knife still dripping the blood of her foster father - doesn't sheath it, just hides it from her) he wasn't thinking of taking her in - he just wanted to know where Vi was. But then she surprised him by leaping on him in a hug (he disarmed both emotionally, and physically - the knife skitters away). When She says "She left me" his gaze falls onto Vander's body - the "brother" who betrayed and abandoned him. He thinks she's a kindred spirit - someone who he thinks he is uniquely able to understand, and her him. When I first watched Arcane, I loved ever moment up to this point, and then realised it was even more well written than I thought.
I think that feeling of betrayal is what makes Silco very relatable, even though he's a villain. But everyone who has felt this kind of feeling knows how much it can change you.
Good to see you understand why Vi acts as she did. People forget that not only is she still child herself, she's just seen 3 people she cared for killed just as they were all about to escape. And even then, she still recognises she just needs a moment to compose herself, and as soon as she sees powder is in danger she immediately trys to run back to her.
I still find hard to stand up for Vi in that situation, not only she leaves Powder alone even if just for a minute, cuz she hits her, then puts the blame of everything on Powder and even as she stands up you can see Powder flinching which makes me think that it may not have been the first time it happened
@BrunoSilva1995 Blaming powder is fair enough, no? If she had done as she was told then it's very likely that Vi's rescue mission would have succeeded. Instead, through Powders actions, it is all for naught. Vi literally fought for her life, only for her sister to come and kill everyone. To not understand why Vi, who is only a few years older than Powder, might temporarily lash out is a bit much to be honest. And she realsies she needs a moment to collect herself, before immediately trying to go back at the first sign of trouble.
@@gustavgustav2670 you could say the same for Vi that whole situation wouldn't have happened if Vi did what Vander told her, to not go to the Upside yet she went, and she knew Powder has a hard time with her confidence, so naturally she would want to help rescue their "father" to prove her worth cuz she always being put down, Vi simply showed she agree'd with what Milo said in the end of the day by telling her she would just be in the way Powder is no saint but it's easier to understand her actions having in account the mental breakdown she was having prior to that event but this is just my opinion
@@BrunoSilva1995 I think you missed gusta's point. It doesn't matter what you or I think about if what Vi did was right. He's pointing out that what Vi did made sense for someone who was exhausted, almost killed from an explosion, and witnessed (basically) her brothers and father violently die. Then learning that her sister was technically the cause of it and got super emotional from revelation overload and lashed out. She realized what she did wrong and did what a normal person would do after a major revelation like that, remove yourself from the situation and calm down. Yes, we could play the blame game and say that if Vander didn't try to drown Silco or if he didn't take in Vi and Powder as daughters then this wouldn't have happened. But, the main point is that it was a horribly messy situation where it's perfectly understandable why Vi and Powder made the mistakes that they did and it's hard to be mad at them for making reasonable emotional mistakes.
A little maybe-easter-egg from an Art History nerd: the eye of Powder when she hugs Silco is a direct reference to the eye that Lucifer has in "The Fallen Angel" painting. That is not sadness, that is rage.
Heimerdinger's flashback from Ep2 is rather like several of John Martin's works: "The Destruction of Pompei and Herculaneum", "The Great Day of His Wrath", and "Sodom and Gomorrah". Alphonse Mucha's art turns up too.
In Vis defense, she did the right thing. She lost control, noticed it, got out of the situation to feel her feelings and calm down, than planed to come back to Powder.
@@alwaysjarron6260probably not but she was also a child in situation where even adults wouldn’t know what to do, and she did what seemed like the right choice. It’s easy for people not in situation like that to say what the right thing to do would have been, but situations like that are kinda famous for making it almost impossible to think clearly and logically.
@@TheSofkujepanen i know but saying. vi did the right thing to do is also not correct in my opinion. But in such stresfull situasion everyone makes mistakes
I actually like how much this episode parallels what’s happening with Jayce & Viktor to what’s happening with the undercity kids. They both have those magical crystals, but the utilization of them are greatly affected by the access to knowledge and equipment necessary to make them work. Privilege and access. The crystal bringing both magical progress and destruction at the same time. But it also shows that luck is also such a player in the situations because Viktor & Jayce didn’t start off their lives in privilege. It’s such a well written show. Also yes! The writers do such a good job of showing all the sides. It’s just such a Human show.
I'm so glad you guys actually understood that Powder was unstable before her and Vi fought. Everyone just glazes over that in the conversation about Powder's reaction and trajectory. It always blew me away that she was looking at Vander's body, evidence of the rest of the family being dead and her biggest reaction was over the fact that Vi had left her. She was never ok and yes, she is weak. She spent so much time expecting all of her validation from Vi that the second Vi says no, she breaks
You actually get a bit of foreshadowing for Jinx in episode 1 in the intro already too. She's deeply troubled and traumatized and codependent on Vi for stability.
@Dark__Thoughts 100% she's unstable from episode 1, the Jinx effects were there when they were on the bridge. But that's a far away thought when people don't know LoL and the characters so I don't mind if they don't notice that. But so many people just glaze over her break down in episode 3 like it's reasonable for her to be more upset that she's been asked to stay behind then about their uncle figure being dead and their father figure being missing and also likely dead.
Jayce was using science to create magic to help people similar to how he was helped by magic as a kid. Looking forward to your reactions to Acts 2 & 3 it just gets better and better with each episode. The emotional roller coaster continues!
As soon as the blood hit the window the entire dynamic of the show changed instantly. It was then I knew this was going to be a serious show....You guys should watch all the League of Legends cinematics and music videos from K/DA and True Damage.
Stay tuned :) Theres a possibility there'll be more League related content after Arcane. K/DA is one of my favorite League things ever and more Fortiche work is always fun.
One of the things that makes this episode so incredibly heartbreaking is the fact that if Powder had stayed home and done nothing...everyone would have very likely lived and escaped. I really apprecaite that this show took that extra beat to show that the good guys had the situation under control and were about to all escape. A lesser show would have left it ambigious and left it up to interpretation if Powder was helping them or not. It just adds an extra layer of tragedy to everything. This show is a masterpiece.
I have a love/hate relationship with this episode. I love it because it's super well-written and let me know this show was gonna be a masterpiece, and I hate it because it was emotionally brutal and too much to handle. It is the episode that both hooked me and broke me.
One of the best shows ever for making the unthinkable feel inevitable in a matter of moments, like Greek tragedy. It's like the writers went out of their way to set things up so that if viewers are media-literate (and both of you clearly are) the slap in the face just lands harder.
The writers do a lot of trope fakery. I think people who watch Arcane superficially get a very different experience to those that pay attention, discuss it and re-watch it to find what they missed.
I would just like to point this out, the actress that voiced Powder was only 11 or 12 when she did the voice over work. That fact blows me away. Some one so young could do such a performance when paired with the visuals of this show, which are amazing, can do such a performance that is so heartbreaking. I can't say more with out giving away anything.
What's great is there are hints both to Powder's vulnerability and Vi's impatience. Or maybe that's projecting, but I feel like the way Vi says "it's ok" is so totally the way I'd say it to someone that's screwed up but who I don't have the emotional subtlety to talk to them without hurting them.
As hard as it is to watch the last moment between the sisters, Vi's reaction is understandable, we may not like it but it's totally understandable. She just witnessed her whole family died and all that frustration and anger got her in a moment. Vi regrets her actions immediately and removes herself from powder to cool down so she wouldn't do more damage. And she tries to run back to her sister immediately as soon as she sees her in danger. Feel bad for both sisters none of them is to blame for what happened.
Rewatching individual episodes for details is helpful, but rewatching the entire series (even multiple times) reveals just how deeply the creation team worked to create parallels, tie up loose ends, etc. I believe you could use this show to teach an entire college course on storytelling, animation, and media analysis.
Vulnerable is the word you're looking for over weak, since weak implies an inherent flaw as a person in a much more unchanging way, the exact thing contributing to Powder being so vulnerable, everyone saying she's a Jinx, while a word like Vulnerable shines a light on the hope for a brighter future for that person so they will be motivated to fight for that brighter future
For me, I think of weak as normally being used in a pejorative sense, which is what makes it not sit well with me. I understand the reactor wasn't meaning it this way though.
@@Hohum37 pejorative is exactly the word! Thank you!!! I gotta use that one more Also yeah I figured Dee meant no harm by it I think she’s just like that with words sometimes, with love for every girly who does this, she speaks like the tough-girl side of sapphic aesthetics if you know what I mean
Smart not to look too much into lore, its sooo easy to get spoiled on stuff. Honestly even after the first season you can spoil yourself a lot for season 2 when it drops
I think my favorite moment of this episode (and of the series) is right at the end of this episode where the song begins, and the camera backs away from Powder and Silco. The camera slowly fades and spins while gently becoming fuzzy. The camera is from Vi's perspective as she is getting pulled away into the sewer after being "Chloroformed" and slowly passing out and losing her vision. It's a cinematic masterpiece.
First off, as the biggest Powder-apologist in myself, I appreciate that you say you can't blame it all on her. I don't blame you for calling her weak, as she is a young girl that is not only dealing with the immediate trauma of what her sister is saying is all her doing, but the PTSD of losing her parents at a very young age (not to mention the constant pressure from Vi to do things she can't and Milo always in her ear making sure she knows she can't). She naturally has abandonment issues and relied on Vi more than we could have ever known. I think this is the perfect place to bring up that Arcane does a VERY good job at addressing mental health, be it PTSD or other conditions. Powder is by far my favourite character in Arcane, but Vi is also dealing with a lot of the same struggles (though I admit, I was SUPER angry at her when I first watched this episode XD). This episode is definitely a bit of a crossroads, but there is still so much more to come!! :)
You perfectly explained the nuances between both Vi and Powder’s perspectives at the end of this episode. Sigh - we did not expect this turn of events but I guess that’s what makes this series so amazing so far! The storytelling is just so darn compelling. We can’t wait to dive more into this world with you all! 🥰🤩❤️
@@VeggieGamer It's just a couple of months. You can do it, I have faith in you! As for Meesh and Dee: I agree. I think this is one of the best reactions I've seen so far (and I've watched a lot!). I appreciate that they give the show the respect and time it deserves and actually listen and watch closely. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.
None of us were ready for this. It was a moment that essentially said to us that we couldn't rely on our normal expectations about how stories go. The line that really hits differently for me is where Vander is asking him why he's doing this, and all he can see is pride as the reason. When Silco hits back so passionately saying, "For respect!" it... is something that I've come to understand on a rather deep level. As someone who has for several years, within their own household, systematically been stripped of respect for my feelings about what is important or how things should go, I can tell you... it 100% earns its place on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. If you are forced to live without it, it will destroy you on a mental level as sure as anything. Also, let's... never overlook the fact that Powder was 100% ready to chuck around things like grenades in the first two episodes. Mouser was going to be a nail bomb in that first kid's face until it fizzled, and she was making more nail bombs when they were getting ready to go toe-to-toe against Piltover. There is a lot already... not right for an 11-year-old girl established in her character leading up to now. On top of that... why did Powder do what she did? To echo Silco... for respect.
@@itsgonnabeokay9341bro you’re the only one making it an issue. What he said was true. Viktor’s first reaction was to pretend like he’s bringing a man back to his bedroom. That’s not reading into anything, it was literally explicitly stated. And because it’s animated and written, that moment was clearly inserted for a purpose. Trust me there is no shortage of male friendships in media. Almost every piece of media contains platonic male friendships. Just look at the entire MCU as an example. its not exactly brainwashing, its projecting. right when she says "she left me" silco turns to look at vander, how he was "betrayed" aswell. so he identifies with her, but there is influence on her as a result.
This series does an outstanding job making every person relatable. Not once through the entire series did I think someone acted without reason or justification. Sure I disagreed with plenty but never could I say I didn't understand the actions. They did amazing job making every character totally three-dimensional.
Ya I hate when people try to place the blame on one person. Thinking one person caused all this is so narrow minded. The whole series of arcane is about multiple mistakes people made that ends up blowing out of control.
This was probably the most emotional I've been during an edit. This episode is top tier in terms of my favorite episode of any series ever. I had to take so many breaks doing this one, glad it could come together.
Fr your reaction was absolutely what I felt the first time I watched this 😭 it was such a packed episode and definitely the most shocking after the last two you can really feel the show taking a turn from this one onwards
My brother walked in the room when I started this episode. He was instantly hooked not having seen the two episodes prior and we stayed up till like 6am just finishing the rest of the series that night
That's the thing about animation on this scale with this budget. each episode is basically a movie and single frames and shots can take weeks and weeks to make. so waiting three years isn't because they're on hiatus, we knew more was coming all along
Powder was like the embodiment of "no good deed goes unpunished" and "good intentions pave the road to hell". Like she want's to help but because she's too young and naïve, she doesn't think about that her helping would lead to. Only thinks about throwing the bomb but doesn't think who it'll hurt. The writers had so much fun with these characters! This story is so good! DAME!
Marcus is a little shit turd but taking Vi did save her life because with how weak she was, they would’ve killed her but sadly it makes it looks like she abandoned Powder 😭 It wildest episode and just sets the tone of the show. Can’t wait to see your reactions to it!!
On balance, you're probably right that Marcus saved Vi's life here.. but: Vi has just spent a lot of energy fighting for her family's lives, been blown up, had a steel door fall on her, and fallen out a window - albeit with Vander taking the impact. So she's pretty beaten up. On the other hand, Silcos goons just had Vi rip through 8-10 of them in a few seconds, and also been blown up - several of them are probably dead, with only the survivors present (one of them - Sevika is unconscious with a shredded arm). Their morale is likely a little shaky. So, if Vi was able to pick up a metal pipe or other improvised weapon, and with her single minded purpose being to defend Powder, charged in, I'm not so sure they'd be up for the fight. Silco, could of course, threaten to kill Powder, but he dropped his knife, and might not have time to find it and recover it. As I said, you're probably right.. but the show makes me think about things like this.
@@Hohum37 I think the big tattooed goon didn't take too much dmg, as he only got upper cutted, while Vi is barely holding his consciousness, which is why the cloroform works so quickly instead of the several minutes (idk, my head canon on that last one). My point is, that guy seems like he's strong enough to take on Vi at that state, and he also has a knife nearby. Like him or not, Marcus did one right thing that night, saving Vi
@@Hohum37VI was a lot more hurt then the few goons that were left besides for the girl. And while yes bi was able to take on multiple goons at once it's because she has weapons that benefited her fighting style. She could barely stand when she was about to run to powder she would have been dead for sure if she was discovered.
I'm so glad you guys rewatched the first couple episodes, shows how much your invested in the story and looking for those details! And this show is one that reqards that 😊 This episode is so painful, and yeah, it does a great job of showing how both girls were just trying to help. I obviously don't agree with Vi hitting Jinx but i completely understand that she's also just a kid and is unable to handle these emotions and just needs to take a moment. And then Powder was just trying to help and was so excited and then her entire world just crumbled in an instant Can't wait for the next episode!
Notice that Powder did not react to Vi hitting her. She reacted to Vi leaving after that. She was too emotionally charged to even recognize that happened. Had Vi been able to go back as she had wanted to, I do believe that this is one of those moments that would play out differently in retrospect than it does in the moment. That Powder would recognize why Vi had to step away in that moment. But unfortunately for both, Marcus prevented Vi from going back to Powder.
@@spamfilter32 No. Silco is already towering over Powder with his knife ready when Vi sees what's going on. If she ran back out, Silco would have just killed them both. He'd hold Powder hostage as Vi runs up to him, his goons would subdue and kill her while Powder screams, and then he'd slit Powder's throat. Marcus saved them both.

I actually feel so sorry for her.
What's so great about this show is the first 3 episodes set you up for one thing and the rest of the episodes give you something else but you end loving both.
I’ve never even noticed until now that Sevika loses her arm in the explosion I never really gave her much thought and assumed she was always that way but while watching this I noticed her arm being disinterested
Man....there are really good shows and then within those really good shows, there's always one episode that rises above the rest and forcefully drags the show into absolute greatness. This episode by far the most important, most dramatic and most impactful to the series. Truly one of the all time great episodes of all time.
I beg to differ. I want them to take exactly as long to make it as they feel is needed. I’ll happily wait 5 years if they need that to deliver another season like this one.
Something that's easily missed - Powder was damaged long before this episode. In the opening scene of the first episode on the bridge, she's already experiencing her disassociative hallucinations (the white images scratched onto the film) and there are hints throughout the first few episodes that she may be a sociopath as well. They laid the groundwork for what is to come so brilliantly.
Don't know how far ahead you are in watching the series, but there's also a music video for the opening song "Enemy" that has additional animated scenes not in the show itself. It's worth its own reaction. I'd recommend watching it between episodes 6 & 7, but it does technically contain spoilers, but they're subtle unless you know what you're looking for.
This was, by far, the most wrecked I have every been by a single episode of a show before. You're right, the writing is astoundingly good, and rips your heart right out. I was so devastated by the ending of this one that I almost didn't finish the show. I'm so glad I did though because it only gets better and better. Can't wait to watch it with you!
The voice actors in this series are all next level, however, Powders voice actress went God mode. When she said "why did you leave me?", my already destroyed emotions kicked back in hard. Then the song started.....
One fun detail that's hard to reach is it wasn't Silco, but Vander who went off the rails. Vander tried to kill Silco, who was holding him back, and then start a full on rebellion, which you saw at the start of the first episode. Silco was the diplomatic one.

@@gustavgustav2670 you could say the same for Vi that whole situation wouldn't have happened if Vi did what Vander told her, to not go to the Upside yet she went, and she knew Powder has a hard time with her confidence, so naturally she would want to help rescue their "father" to prove her worth cuz she always being put down, Vi simply showed she agree'd with what Milo said in the end of the day by telling her she would just be in the way
Powder is no saint but it's easier to understand her actions having in account the mental breakdown she was having prior to that event
but this is just my opinion
Wow, I never noticed that but it can’t be just a coincidence. Great eye to catch that 👍🏾
Heimerdinger's flashback from Ep2 is rather like several of John Martin's works: "The Destruction of Pompei and Herculaneum", "The Great Day of His Wrath", and "Sodom and Gomorrah". Alphonse Mucha's art turns up too.
It`s both.
In Vis defense, she did the right thing. She lost control, noticed it, got out of the situation to feel her feelings and calm down, than planed to come back to Powder.
💯
Yes, this is what psychologists recommend people to do in highly emotionally charged situations.
Yea i guess but leaving a 5 year old alone near a building with people who want to kill her is not really the right thing do.
"A little cupcake energy." 😮🤐
It aged so well
I'm so glad you guys actually understood that Powder was unstable before her and Vi fought.
One thing I adore about this show is the animation of faces/expressions. It's SO detailed and evocative.
Yep, they got through the wall and had Vandor unlocked, they were literally about to escape out of the building when Powder dropped the bomb.
@@Hohum37 Yeah the people who don't read stories on the regular always have a black and white judgment.
Ah yes, arcane episode 3
You guys weren’t kidding 😭
What's great is there are hints both to Powder's vulnerability and Vi's impatience. Or maybe that's projecting, but I feel like the way Vi says "it's ok" is so totally the way I'd say it to someone that's screwed up but who I don't have the emotional subtlety to talk to them without hurting them.
They had a lot of takes for some of the voice lines - I'm pretty sure every nuance is intentional.
I love you guys' reactions for Arcane, you always try to think through characters' motivations and the worldbuilding.
The complexity and nuance of these characters make them incredibly enjoyable to analyze 🔥🥺
Exactly!
For me, I think of weak as normally being used in a pejorative sense, which is what makes it not sit well with me. I understand the reactor wasn't meaning it this way though.
@@Hohum37 pejorative is exactly the word! Thank you!!! I gotta use that one more
Also yeah I figured Dee meant no harm by it I think she’s just like that with words sometimes, with love for every girly who does this, she speaks like the tough-girl side of sapphic aesthetics if you know what I mean
@@Hohum37 To me it felt like she did meant it this way, especially in combination with the disapproving head shake.
Smart not to look too much into lore, its sooo easy to get spoiled on stuff. Honestly even after the first season you can spoil yourself a lot for season 2 when it drops
🫡
I think my favorite moment of this episode (and of the series) is right at the end of this episode where the song begins, and the camera backs away from Powder and Silco. The camera slowly fades and spins while gently becoming fuzzy. The camera is from Vi's perspective as she is getting pulled away into the sewer after being "Chloroformed" and slowly passing out and losing her vision.
It's a cinematic masterpiece.
I'm pretty sure Powder's crying face over Silco's elbow is a reference to the painting "The Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel
yes, it is. The creators once stated this.
Oh hey Veggie, fancy seeing you here at the Anonymous-Arcane-Reactions meeting. 😂
@@midnight1672 Haha, I can't wait for season 2!! XD I need that fix, and am loving this reaction series so far!
Evil laugh... they're at THAT episode. Their tears and suffering shall fuel me!
The best episode 3 of a series that I've ever seen, there's no other series that is making you cry this hard in 3 episodes
I would almost agree except for Alice in Borderland existing, i honestly can’t pick between them, both utterly destroyed me
THE PRIDE FLAG OVERLAY HAD ME LOSING IT 😂
None of us were ready for this.
Gotta love how Vik's first reflex when he and Jayce get caught is to pretend he was trying to sneak a boy in his bedroom. Lmao smooth Viktor 👍😂
Stop looking for things that aren't there. Can't 2 male characters be fking friends?
@@itsgonnabeokay9341bro you’re the only one making it an issue. What he said was true. Viktor’s first reaction was to pretend like he’s bringing a man back to his bedroom. That’s not reading into anything, it was literally explicitly stated. And because it’s animated and written, that moment was clearly inserted for a purpose. Trust me there is no shortage of male friendships in media. Almost every piece of media contains platonic male friendships. Just look at the entire MCU as an example. You’ll live if just this once TV writers hint at a male character bringing other male character to his bedroom (they don’t even act on the implications of this scene so it’s literally not an issue).
@@itsgonnabeokay9341Can't 2 male characters be fking lovers?😲 There's no male friendship shortage....it's gonna be okay....9341
@@aeiresslumpkin4866 Cry me a fking river. It was a comedic moment that implied nothing. Viktor never had any romantic feelings towards anyone. It's not even whether it's homosexual or not, romatic subtext would just ruin Viktor's arc but you guys love to cherry pick such scenes and then act mad when Jayce turns out to fall in love with a woman.
@@potatosoupfordays hahahhaa nice joke. In this year it's almost impossible to have a simple bromance between two straigth characters exactly because of people like you forcing their agendas onto everything.
You need a fresh box of tissues every episode. I cannot count how many times I have watched this scene, 50+ easily, and it still makes me cry. Buckle in, you've got a ride ahead!
the parallel between vander holding silco by the neck and vi holding powders face. hmm
its not exactly brainwashing, its projecting. right when she says "she left me" silco turns to look at vander, how he was "betrayed" aswell. so he identifies with her, but there is influence on her as a result.
Now you both know why people love this series - and it is only going to be better with each chapter. 🙂😊
We completely understand now!! 😭🥰❤️
This Episode is like the Spanish Inquisition.
No one expected... THIS
This series does an outstanding job making every person relatable.
We said it was a great show. We never said it was a happy show.
“in the pursuit for greatness we failed to do good”
So true 😅
the scene with powder's gaze reminds me a lot of the painting of lucifer's gaze when he was expelled... two works of art.
Kudos to the editor. HILARIOUS stuff!

Yes exactly!! We can’t wait to tune into the rest of S1 now with y’all ❤️

I cried so hard at the end of this. And I still tear up every f'in time.
Man your reactions here are gold! Love you guys! One word comes to mind with this Series "emotional damage" lol
A rollercoaster of emotions forsure 😭❤️
That's the thing about animation on this scale with this budget. each episode is basically a movie and single frames and shots can take weeks and weeks to make. so waiting three years isn't because they're on hiatus, we knew more was coming all along
I’ve been waiting for this all week LETS GO (yay shared trauma)
Trauma bonding?!! Ugh 😭
Rewatching this series through your reactions is really building my hype for season 2.
We can’t wait to finish S1 and get hyped for S2 with y’all!! 🤩🫡❤️
You guys are so lucky you don't have to wait 3 years now 😂
Powder was like the embodiment of "no good deed goes unpunished" and "good intentions pave the road to hell".
Completely sets the tone! Can’t wait to watch the rest of the season now🤩
On balance, you're probably right that Marcus saved Vi's life here.. but:
Vi has just spent a lot of energy fighting for her family's lives, been blown up, had a steel door fall on her, and fallen out a window - albeit with Vander taking the impact.
To be fair with Marcus, he did save Vi's life there lol
Ya tbh Marcus while a d bag did actually care...he kind of just got in over his head.
I absolutely love watching people react to episode 3, cause they always go into it so happy and excited and then are so torn to shreds at the end lol
Editor is so goated with the little comments here and there
I'm so glad you guys rewatched the first couple episodes, shows how much your invested in the story and looking for those details! And then Powder was just trying to help and was so excited and then her entire world just crumbled in an instant
Can't wait for the next episode!

Yes. Her words speak volumes: "Why did you leave me?" not "Why did you hit me?"
Vi would have die without Marcus so, don't know if it's "unfortunate". The all story would have been different, for sure
@@shiminisillters1848 that is debatable. If she had Marcus nit stopped her, she could have dragged Powder away before Silco could do anything to them.
@@spamfilter32 Silco is already in front of Powder when Vi tries to come back. And his crew joins him fast too + he has a knife and Vi is injured
You two are a fantastic reaction duo. I just subscribed, y’all seem so kind and this channel just seems like a friendly place. You guys are gonna be big on UA-cam.

What's so great about this show is the first 3 episodes set you up for one thing and the rest of the episodes give you something else but you end loving both.
This episode it's just so strong, this series... No words.

This is the most significant episode imo for setting up the season. i cant believe we dont have season 2 yet😂
I beg to differ. I want them to take exactly as long to make it as they feel is needed. I’ll happily wait 5 years if they need that to deliver another season like this one.

We try to put our best efforts into every reaction! We appreciate you watching along with us! 🥰✌🏼
Goodbye, is such an under rated song omg...
Yo I cry on ep3 every time😭😭😭. I just wanna hug Powder before Silco then everything would be fine😭
Happy Thursday Meesh and Dee. I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.

Don't know how far ahead you are in watching the series, but there's also a music video for the opening song "Enemy" that has additional animated scenes not in the show itself. It's worth its own reaction. I'd recommend watching it between episodes 6 & 7, but it does technically contain spoilers, but they're subtle unless you know what you're looking for.
;)
22:20 slap? What a kind way to call Vi's powerful punches lmao
I know im late but powder's voice actor was only 14 when she delivered these incredible lines, what an unbelievable talent
Welcome to the episode that both broke and hooked fans.
The voice actors in this series are all next level, however, Powders voice actress went God mode. When she said "why did you leave me?", my already destroyed emotions kicked back in hard. Then the song started.....

vi and jinx are two of the greatest characters ever created in my opinion. their tragic back story is heartbreaking.
One fun detail that's hard to reach is it wasn't Silco, but Vander who went off the rails. Vander tried to kill Silco, who was holding him back, and then start a full on rebellion, which you saw at the start of the first episode. Silco was the diplomatic one.
