- Milk Street travels to Jordan to learn the secrets of Falafel. Back in the kitchen, Chris and Milk Street Cook Lynn Clark demonstrate how to bring this crisp and herbal Falafel to your home. Then, Milk Street Cook Rayna Jhaveri makes Moroccan Carrot Salad, transforming average grocery-store carrots into a fresh and flavorful side. Keep up with the good work
Hashem is one of my favourite places to eat falafel, however the city of Ramallah in Palestine has the ultimate falafel. I could eat it daily and never get tired of it. I have to learn my mom's recipe one of these days :)
Truly LOVED this episode. Thank you to ALL involved, it was the citizens, the interview, the history and their passion that was so heartwarming to view. I can guarantee you, I will look & enjoy falafel so much more.
Made these falafels tonight, they are indeed 🔥🔥🔥 best recipe hands down, so light and fluffy and crispy/crunchy… Thanks for taking me all the way out to the middle east! First time making Baharat, and did my own turkey and pork sorta kefta meatloaf with these spices… the lemon tahini is a great topper! Thanks Milk street for keeping things authentic! I made the mutabal recipe you had as well to go with this feast…. Excellent!
Even better is that Falafel freezes sooo well. Just nake a massive batch and then re heat in an airfryer for around 10-12 minutes at about 165 degrees celcius.
The name should be name best in Jordon and try at home with put all with meet grinder. I use Kitchenaid attachment not the stainless steel yet- lol need to buy a new after 20 years. no water needs in my way and sometime you need to add 2-4 Tbsp flour of your choice.
Back in the early 70’s, I spent a summer in Israel. My friends and I were all broke students. We lived on falafel.
Yummy🌷🙏🍸🌶️🫕🍺🥬
