You’re awesome!! Thank you for doing Queen!! LIAR is one of my favorite performances by Queen!! Freddie actually encouraged John to sing with him on the bridge! John didn’t think he was a good singer so rarely do we hear shared vocals by John. How can you turn down lovable Freddie when he invites you to sing? You don’t …. I can listen to this song everyday!! 👑🎼👑🎼👑
Great reaction...Welcome to the Queen rabbit hole. Fasten your seat belt and remain seated until we come to a complete stop. We will be serving refreshments and snacks..
I found myself absolutely mesmerized by this performance, every time. Freddie's of course (the intensity, the growl, OMG) but not only. The whole band is breathtaking-power-performance. These 4 guys were, and are, blessed with unstoppable and inimitable talent. The vocals and the instruments are out of this universe! 💯🤘💯🤘💯🤘💯🤘 I told you, they will blow your mind with a talent like no other 🤘🤘🤘🤘 And what to say about John's riff??? AMAZING!!!
Powerful, early song by Freddie. I like this song so much. The strength of the changes in this song are amazing, vocals are great as are all the instrumentations, I love the bass in this, John kills it! This song was originally called Lover and was about a brief but stormy affair.
Love it. I love every incarnation of Queen but the early stuff gives goosebumps. Btw: for the bassist (John Deacon) try Dragon Attack live in Montreal.
White queen, hummersmith odeon 1975 🤗. My fairy king, the march of the black queen, the fairy feller's master stroke studio version. Love your reactions! Thanks
Freddie started writing the song before Queen even existed, and it was called "Lover" then. The band worked on the song together, but it's credited to Freddie because he wrote the lyrics. What they mean, no one knows, because Freddie rarely discussed his lyrics.
To be honest, at NO time does Queen do "Just another one of those songs". Every song is unique!! Every performance is unique! The only "just another" about Queen is AMAZINGLY DIFFERENT!!!
Brilliant thank you for reacting to this one love this & early Queen xx welcome to the Queen rabbit hole they cover so many genres a surprise with every one ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovin you’re reacting, Queen never ‘just have another song’ always epic, imagine if you will 4 musical genius, 1 band, every song so great because it’s a 4 way pull so if one’s idea isn’t working just now, someone else steps up with an idea that might take off, 4 members 4 each made better by the next, miss you Freddie, he’s the absolute king 👑 & is so loved 🥰, you’ll enjoy this rabbit hole, I saw 👀 you on Jack’s back channel and already your hooked, enjoy from Australia 🇦🇺
If you didnt know Brian's guitar is called the RED SPECIAL he made it with dad. With stuff around the house. He plays it like he made it. Gotta love it
Thank you for doing this one. A lot of people including me have pecked Davids head for this for ages! This is from their first album and one of the first songs I heard way back in 1974. This live version is fire! I love John Deacons bass solo. The whole thing gives me goosebumps even now after countless times of hearing and watching it. Genius! Thanks again hun. 👍
So glad you found this version. There is a shorter version that's been edited to be more like the studio version. One of the songs from the set when I first saw unknown Queen live in November 1973 when they were a support band
@@debramoore7513 suppose I better not mention that tickets for 1975 tour went on sale before BoRhap was released so they were still relatively unknown so I managed to get centre front row ticket
Btw, Michael Jackson was a fan of Queen but a bigger fan of Freddie!! Notice the one glove on Freddie’s hand? Yep! Now do ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST live at Wembley 1986. MJ encouraged Queen to release it as a single. 👍👍
Awesome reaction! Love this song and this concert. Other songs from this 1974 Rainbow concert you should react to are Stone Cold Crazy and In The Lap of the Gods. Also please react to White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975.
Queen never just plays a song...it's always a performance. At concert each song is like a whole separate event! I liked your observation about how hard it must have been to make this song work. But I believe they must have had a lot of practice. All the songs on their first album they had been performing for a long time, basically it was just a compiling of what they had been doing on stage for a couple of years. Great King Rat on this album is another one to mystify you.
This song started out with the title "Lover", but as it developed with everyone's thoughts and suggestions, this was the outcome, of course with no explanation as is their policy. Sometimes a song is just a song and has a personality of it's own. Whatever the reason, the outcome is excellent
Please keep reacting to Queen and stick to a timeline, hit all tracks from Queen 1 all the way to Made In Heaven. You'll be in for a hell of a ride. Then watch them live once you hear the studio version for comparison. The after a couple of years you can move onto their solo careers lol 👌🇬🇧
Queen never ever do the same - live they are GOAT and studio they created some master pieces - here are a few studio version which are a must. 39 (a folk song about time and space travel) The Prophets Song (you friend said it was trippy, a must listen with headphones on 11) mother love, sheer heart attack (Queen out punk, punk) Ogre Battle, White man, save me, - i could go on and on but ill let you find some gems, and ive not included solo stuf.
Freddie wrote this and he never explained the meanings/origins of his songs because he wanted listeners to be able to give the lyrics their own meaning. That being said... There is a theory that "Liar" originates in an experience from teenage Fred's time away from home in a Catholic boarding school: Freddie confided to his first boyfriend David Mann (after Fred/Mary had broken off their engagement) that he had had his first "experience" w a(n older) man while at school there... which could also explain why Fred went from always having high grades, to all-of-a-sudden flunking out/being sent home to his parents (he was 18 then, I think). (The reason given in documentaries on why Fred flunked out is that he was so involved w his first rock band of fellow school boys. But that doesn't really make sense, in-that Fred was highly involved in sports prior - which required a lot of work/discipline - and his grades had never suffered then.)
David Minn. he was actually having an affair with David while he was living with Mary. She had said that he was avoiding her and coming home late or not coming home. David wrote a book and said Freddie said Mary was his roommate but he saw there was only one bed when he came to their apt. The important thing was that he was struggling with who he was and not hurting Mary. David said he would break it off if he tell her. So sad for all concerned.
John Deacons solo bass is my favourite part. Not only is it fantastic he looks great as well.

LIAR is one of my very favorites! Wow. Powerhouse vocals & music. Thanks for reacting. & finally that bass solo!

The early days of Queen. So good 💯🤘
A much more heavy rock vibe, and yet sooooo good. I love early Queen...and late Queen

Dude, watch out with early Queen - their shit back then was like Dyson vacuum power - it would suck You in for good 😀
There is another version of Liar a 1973 rehearsal video which is really great.

Perfect integration of all elements-these four are queen-any other combination of elementsare less than perfection-but full marks for trying

The bass is talking!
You have to react to "Killer Queen - I'm in love with my car" live in Montreal by Queen. In the second song you will see Roger (the drummer) singing.
