When you need to record all the drums for the entire album but the studio's closing in 5 minutes.
actual LOL
😂😂😂😂
Heh 😅
Dude most likely showed up on schedule 5 minutes before closing time sat on the throne press record and the rest is legendary historical what have you 🤘
Nailed it!
It's amazing how dedicated some people are at their craft.
Drum machines everywhere strive to some day be as fast and consistent as John Longstreth.
In absolutely all seriousness, I truly appreciate all of Johns's hardwork & dedication to his craft. The man works tirelessly at it & you can see he is human with how tired he looks. But he shows up everytime & is more than humble about it. Appreciate all you do for the drum/music world. 🤘👊🖤🤘👊🖤🥁🥁🥁🥁🖤🖤🖤
John I tore my spincter duplicating your blasts. Just wanted to say thank you.
My favourite metal drummer. Blows my mind every time.
John Legstrength putting the world on blast all over again 🔥🔥🔥
give this king his crown, he just earned it.
What. Did. I. Just. Witness 😂. Amazing work and production. Great way to start the day.
He played the same amount of hits in one song that I did in 2 years !! DAMN !!! Impressive
I appreciate this style of drumming!!! It’s strange and I like it!
Masterclass Technical Death Metal
This style of metal does nothing for me, but there is no denying John’s absolutely insane chops and endurance. Save some for the rest of us, dude!
same... bit too fast and brutal... but the skills to pull it off is unreal
incredible economy of movement in his technique, so little wasted motion! love the broken blasts with the hihat open-close on top.
How does one write parts like this and remember every detail of what to play!?! Insane 🤯 kudos my man
The GOAT of metal drumming.
YES
Cool Blast Shuffle at .28 sec finishing it with a kind of Inverted Swiss Army triplets. Amazing John!
with a double axis loop reverse ! ☺☺
I consider an excellent drummer to be someone who can actually pull off their bands material off “live”. I’ve heard sooo many drummers from popular Death Metal, DeathCore, Tech Death Metal, etc bands who would make mistake after mistake especially during the very fast doublebass sections during their live performances. I’m talking really bad mess ups and not on just a single performance but numerous live performances. I’ve been playing drums for 36 years so I know a thing or two about the craft. John live is absolutely spectacular. I’ve seen ORIGIN many times live in person between 2001-2018 plus you can see/hear a lot of the live performances on UA-cam. Now, every extreme metal drummer makes mistakes live including John but every live performance I’ve heard with John playing drums he rarely makes mistakes especially mistakes that a very apparent. What’s amazing about ORIGIN is they play their material faster live than the studio recorded version 😂. If you have never been to an Origin show then I highly recommend you to go see them live if you have the chance. You won’t be disappointed, trust me. They are one of the best live Tech Death Metal bands out there. John is a huge inspiration to me and so many other drummers and I’m thankful to be alive in this era to be able to witness his performances. Cheers 🍻 to ya all.
Man the one time I saw origin was in Sept '02 touring for "informis...." even as far back as then, and still honing his craft, this dude just blew my mind and everyone else off the stage that night, including Derek Roddy who i was initially going to see play w hate eternal. And the dude has not missed a single beat in that time, always getting sharper and sharper.
@@antitheziz717yep I agree! Seeing John play a complete set with Skinless then directly after play an Origin complete live set. Another show seeing him play a complete set with Gorguts then afterwards with Origin was mind blowing 🤯. He is a machine.
Unbelievable, what a beast
The champ is here
this is only opportunity to hear Overwrought by Neurectomy, they did not even release it yet!
The Neil Peart of Extreme Death Metal 🫡
John Legstrength !!!
i need watching john and here we go, got new updates
Evidently the Terminator took out John Connor and decided to take up drums while he waited for Skynet to become self aware...
Absolutely bananas
"Anyway, He starts blasting"
I have No words here.. Just my engagement is all that is needed..
good morning! i love that red oyster pearl so much!
The secret to playing fast : Pizza socks
LiT
I thought my computer was playing two songs at once lmao. Jesus christ.
Epic blasts
John “alien” longstreth
When are we getting a drum off with Lord Marco!!!
thank you for legit one footers.
John you are not human
🔥Fuego!
Hell yeah
YES!!
Massive respect for death metal drummers who use natural drum sounds and not those horrid artificial trigger sounds
Cuando saldrá el álbum de Neurectomy 😅
Insane. How does he control that second hi-hat on the right side?
It looks like he’s got a remote pedal for the hat on the inside of his right of his left kick pedal 2:38
@@Jones_Jonathan looks like you're right, good eye
Crazy how Justin is never brought up when talking about extreme drummers. George Kollias, Shannon Lucas, Steve Asheim from DEICIDE, Mike Smith, Nick Barker of DIMMU, AlexGrind, Flo Mounier. Justin is right beside all of them, and many others I'm not going to take my time to name.
Those Tama drums sound incredible.
pearl
@@Branndon626 Pearl you’re right. They sound amazing.
Somebody needs to do a John Longstreth plugin with these cymbals and drums
Bestial....man
Unmatched skills. Hail to the king!
harrumph
Fucking amazing. Insane drummer
I would love to see John play despised icon’s hardest song for drums
wow
The BMW of drums.
Ummmm...
Crickey, guv'nor....
🤘😂
Been one of my fave drummers since I first heard the ORIGIN debut!
Clinical !!!
Can we get new versions that are drums solo please? I have no interest in listening to the other instruments in this music....
Re-record the last Angelcorpse album
Yes sir , I remember talking to Shaune Kelley way back when he told me about the new record on Angelcorpse coming out before announcing that John was recording drum tracks and sending them to Gene( no band rehearsal ) til this day remaster would be tits
@@chicagojbears That is why it sounds like a reh demo. sadly.
Now I know what putting a cat in a blender would sound like.
is this on 2x?
1:21 - 1:36 is just nuts. dude is one GOATs
*Blinks*
...30 jillion notes later.
Only because I didn't see it in the comments, for anyone who this likes this butts never heard of PSYOPUS, check them out, on the other hand "got dang!" John Longstreth I'd love to see you cover some Psyopus, Into The Moat, The Red Chord(first album), Ion Dissonance shit cause you prob the only mofuker that could do it right now! Precision unmatched, church....
I seen John Longstreth live with the red chord lmao he looked so bored . Piece of cake for him .

I think this is what most people think of when you tell them you listen to metal.
Total slaughter
Impressive. I'm just not quite sure what I just heard...
Sounds like the guitar player for Beneath the Massacre.

Fudging hell...
Effort less drumming style... on of a kind John L.
Bravo, complimenti, vuoi superare la velocità del suono? Ok. E poi?
BRUTAL !
Todos suenan igual ... entiendo que es difícil tocar así.
Pero es una porquería....
Absolutely incredible
God those guitars sound horrid.
The drums tho.........................
great playing, but music sounds like someone plays guitar and screams in toilet... uuuuuuuuu.... urrururururururu
nice solo. i just didn't like the shouting background. it might have captured some radio playing some horror movie scene on repeat.
Qué horror! La velocidad sin control... No sirve de nada. En éste caso, la velocidad está totalmente controlada y sin embargo sigue sin servir de nada. Vaya tostada sin sentido, sin pasión, sin alma... Uffff...
go listen to Taylor Swift
@@robbledot7290 a buen seguro, tendrá más pasión, sentido y alma.
Terrible..!! No spaces….. between notes…. No artistic talent…
Sorry..!! No value for me
The Art is in his smoothness. His relaxed playing. Speed and smoothess around the drums. His crazy double strokes .His mastery of gravity blast beats. The dedication. This is an unique player. His own signature style. That is pretty artistic. The Art is also in being able to play very complex songs. You can hate the music aspect and still love how musicians perform this stuff. Art is not rigid. It's expressive.
Objectively, Longstreth has more ability than 99% of drummers on the planet. You're entitled to not like his style, but you're simply incorrect.
I’m waiting for him to casually pick up a cup of coffee and take a sip.
Actually hit the drums, you'll lose some weight.
