It's Ashes for me. That's the album that completely captivated me, but of I've loved nearly everything this amazing band has done, and especially Sacrament. As always, you've nailed the tones beautifully!
@@t74devkwagreed. Wrath is probably my favorite, but Ashes is the one where it feels like they nailed everything. From a pure critical standpoint, it’s probably their best by far.
This era of Lamb of God and metal in general was so amazing for me. I bought Sacrament the week it came out and was taken back by it because it was much cleaner and more polished as opposed to their previous stuff. Mark and Willie will forever be two of the best riff writers ever. I'll put them and their iconic tone right up there with the greats.
The most raw and powerful L.O.G album tone is Wrath, when I first heard Contractor my neck was hurting for a week because of the amount of headbanging I did to that song
I love your videos so much dude! You get really close to every tone you dial in, you’re super genuine, you seem really nice and sweet, and overall great guy and a reason why I stay subscribed! Keep up the awesome work man, you’re a living tone legend! Gonna dial in your tone later for a Lamb of God cover!! 🤘🏼🎸🔥
I don't think you get enough credit for your playing. It's one of the reasons your videos are so good. These spot on tones are made better by spot on playing. 🤘
You convinced me to get the OG 5150 III 50w with your older videos. Love to see you're still killing it and uploading even better content. Didn't expect to see this 1:1 recreation of my favorite tone with LoG, I saw the Sacrament tour with CoB as my first big metal concert in like grade 9 hahah
Bro… you NEED to try Mark’s Dominion pickups. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with them since I got my Jackson with them in it. They’re brutal but sparkling clear.
Hey man dunno if you’ll see this but if ya do, check out the ML Sound lab ML5 plugin, its a plugin that models the mesa mark 5 and it sounds amazing i also found a impulse response that models the tone used on sacrament. Great video cheers mate
This was a great watch, personally my favorite is Ashes of the Wake with Sacrament a very very very close second. You nailed the tone which is impressive using actual amps and pedals. I took the easy route and tone matched using the Axe Fx with stems from the producer’s pack (so many bands need to start doing this because it so cool hearing the instruments in isolation)
It must be in the air cuz I've had the Sacrament CD on repeat in my car for my commutes for about the last week and a half. Haven't played guitar in quite a while but the interest is coming back.
Hearing you are at work rocking out ,practicing in your breaks tells us all how much you care about getting stuff correct for us all and I really appreciate that . Do you just play the guitar Acoustically or do you have some kind of simple mobile way to practice? Very interested if you do have a mobile setup you use in those work breaks. Thanks for another fantastic video👍
Thats awesome, never thought about using a comp that way. Gonna have to try some different combos with the sims in my hx stomp. I have the Mark V 25, so this video is making me want to dust it off. Also, I never quite got the appeal of the "liquid" high gain tone. But this illustrates it pretty well, and its a really nice tone.
I never thought of a compressor being so versatile to get an awesome crunch but this Cali 76 is becoming one of my favorite pedals. I’m still not confident in dialing it in and hearing the nuances but I can hear enough to know that its worth putting time into learning
@@LambChopper678 Actually, now that I look at his rig from Guitar World, it seems like he is using the compressor in front of the amp. That DBX 266xl is a dual comp/noise gate. Could not find any info on how its setup though.
This was a cool video to see! I remember watching your LoG and CoB playthroughs so many years ago! Glad to see you are still doing well! And loving the Alexi on the wall!
I was always surprised how little gain they use. It's made me tame my gain since sacrament came out. You can hear it so much better in a band mix. Mids, too
These are the best. Love this format. Talking tone and just riffing.
Yeah. Capturing too Dream Theater Tone with Mark V
Just picked up one of these boogies because of your vids 🤘🔥
You must have some coin

Ashes is special, no other album like it.
Ashes is a masterpiece.

Dude, you nailed their tone on probably their greatest album and as usual your playing is impeccable.

Driving home from lamb of god and Pantera show listening to this, great work as usual ❤

Man you nailed it! The compression in the effects loop was the key! Excellent playing!
I got a message from Mark and he said I’d get closer using it in the front end
So happy you shared this one. Sacrament is my favorite from the Lamb boys. You really captured the tone!!!!!
Your playing has inspired me to start writing again, I’d love to be able to play even half as good as you one day sir

I saw Lamb of God in San Diego recently and have been getting into their discog recently and its awesome to see your vids about the band!
My fave LOG album too! 🤘
Thoroughly enjoyed this, your passion shined through. Great playing and tremendous tones

Awesome thanks .... This means Im pretty close all ready with my tone !! Killer riffage too mate!! Very enjoyable

Liquid gold for sure 🤘

Thanks mate, I’ve got a little Randall KH-15 practice amp in our workshop which I quietly riff on. I’ve been using it for years. It’s awesome.
Great content!!
Mark plays the same guitar. Thanks for the cool video👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘
You can play man! Some of those riffs are hard af 😂

Tuco Salamanca!

Thanks man, I love it❗️
Nailed it as usual!
Dude, someday we should hang out and play Lamb riffs

I still have trouble dialing in my mark 5:25. Your videos help a lot
Yaaas 🔥🔥🔥 Great vidz bro. I'm hooked too in LoG riffs.
Where i can get that guitar? Ffffing beauty.
Wow, I've never heard about Sacrament's Jonestown connection.
Would be an album I'd learn if I could play better. 😅 Always ajoy to watch you jamin to great music.
This tone makes my computer speakers squeal like a squirrel in the best way. I love it lol.
Amp diezel please!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏
great beard, does it also affect the tone
Any chance of a MKII patch for this album?
Quick vid on the four cable method?
The instruction booklet has all the pictures but I did a video on the zuul+ when it was new showing all the methods
You get em dead on.does the dominion seal the deal or can i get there w esp emg 81
I think you’ll get good results with 81’s 👌🏻
This album IS very under rated. SO DARK and hard hitting. Great video sir!
My favourite log tone. I still feel like Sacrament is their master of puppets. Defo my fave album very unique
I think of it more as their black album. It’s funny how Metallica albums are used as yard sticks for everything else
HELLO, WHAT IS THAT BLACK , JACKSON, FLYING V, HANGING ON YOUR WALL, ANND THE ,SPECS, OF THAT AWESOME, LOOKING GUITAR,,,✌️✌️✌️✌️
It’s a 2019 KVX with Duncan distortions. The Floyd is only a special but the rest of the build and hardware is good
Are you done using the eq from hell???
