This was a very enlightening video. My parents are immigrants, and Spanish is my first language. However, being raised in and educated in the United States my entire life has made it difficult to be exposed to native Spanish speakers. This always frustrated me because I was only able to maintain a conversational level of Spanish with a limited vocabulary. I decided almost one and a half years ago to immerse myself in Spanish as much as possible by changing all of my devices to Spanish and visiting Honduras as often and as long as possible to the point that I have achieved C1 and approaching C2 in that time. While I did not get every question correct, I got 9/12 which I think is still pretty good. I still make verb conjugation mistakes and have words that I have to look up because I've never been exposed, but while I was visiting Honduras last time, some family friends I had never met before thought I spoke Spanish so well that they couldn't tell I was from the United States. That was when it became clear that I am as close to native as I've ever been, and I am very proud of that.
Question number 5 was interesting. Thanks for explaining the difference between "para" and "por" in this instance. Subtle but meaningful. The rest of them were straightforward.
I'm a B2 level but decided to take the quiz for fun. I got 5/12 right. Unacceptable! I'll have to start improving my Spanish skills to level up. Thank you for the great content, guys!
I wasn't sure whether I was at this level so I decided to try this quiz. i got 7/12 ( but for no.5 I wasn't sure if I did it correctly because you said 'por' but I said 'para' which is also used so if I got it right, that'll 8/12).
As a native speaker I obviously got a 12/12 but the last ones were really hard and I probably wouldn't know how to explain the reason of they being the correct ones XD tenses in spanish are really difficult for a non-native

As someone who is thinking about studying for C1 it was interesting to use this as a way to gauge where I’m at and have a rough idea of the things I need to cover next. I am happy to report I got 7/12 (8 if I count question 5 where I chose para, which I chose for the reasons you explained in the video). It’s actually so cool how bilingual you both are as well!

But we want them to learn the right way. Once they learn the right way very well, they'll have time to learn what people say, which could be grammatically incorrect.
Surprised I got 6/12 after not taking Spanish for many years. (Took 4 years in high school, but never became fluent) A couple others I was really close (I knew exactly which tense I wanted, but I just couldn’t remember which conjugation that actually corresponded to) Proud that I managed to get #10 “Lo cuentes o no”… It just sounded the best, after thinking in Spanish for a bit Gracias por su vídeo!
muchisimas gracias. Perdoneme. Si fuera asi tardaría horas con explicaciones. Soy un viejo de Birmania.
I got 10/12 for fun but I did better here than on the B1-B2 test!! I think because here it focuses on the subjunctive and I know that very well. I need to revise Ser v Estar and Por v Para though. Can be confusing.
Hola! Soy brasileño y estoy aprendiendo español, I would appreciate it if u guys could make more videos teaching slang, vou acompanhar o canal de vcs pq parece ser um dos melhores para aprender espanhol... Gracias, thanx, obrigado 😁✌️
Cx
I got 8 right. 6 because I knew and 2 from guessing out of the other 6 (statistically "regression to the mean" for the unknown 6). I find reading / writing much easier than listening / speaking because my brain is just not fast enough. I reckon I am a spread from B1 through to C1 but slow on the uptake. I need a holiday in Spain!
Although Spanish is my third language, after Danish (native) and English, I still got everything right! Do you think I should take the DELE C2 exam? I aspire to study and live in a Spanish-speaking country, but I'm unsure if the exam might be too challenging.
Hmmm... Se puso a llorar (she brust into tears (suddenly)) would work better in sentences like: He told her that she wasn't invited and... ella se puso a llorar. She failed this very important exam and... ella se puso a llorar. If we had that sentense in the past: Ella era una chica muy sensible... What would work would be: so she used to burst into tears (imperfect) = y se ponía a lorar por cualquier cosa. Cx
Hola! I just wanted to ask why in the forst one the right answer was A and not B? It is true that the keys have fallen but why does A indicate that better than B? They are both passive.
The right answer is " Se me han caído" (las llaves). This is what we call the Victim Structure and it goes like this: se + pronoun (me, te, le...) +verb Cx
9/12 but the 9 correct were educated guesses. I would have been 0/12 if the questions were fill in the blank instead of multiple choice. I'll grade myself somewhere in the B1-B2 range.

A couple others I was really close (I knew exactly which tense I wanted, but I just couldn’t remember which conjugation that actually corresponded to)
Proud that I managed to get #10 “Lo cuentes o no”… It just sounded the best, after thinking in Spanish for a bit
Gracias por su vídeo!
¡¡Buen trabajo!! :)
muchisimas gracias. Perdoneme. Si fuera asi tardaría horas con explicaciones. Soy un viejo de Birmania.
50 preguntas sería un vídeo un poco largo jejeje :) Cx
I got 10/12 for fun but I did better here than on the B1-B2 test!! I think because here it focuses on the subjunctive and I know that very well. I need to revise Ser v Estar and Por v Para though. Can be confusing.
That's great! Now you know what you need to focus on ;) Cx
Hola! Soy brasileño y estoy aprendiendo español, I would appreciate it if u guys could make more videos teaching slang, vou acompanhar o canal de vcs pq parece ser um dos melhores para aprender espanhol... Gracias, thanx, obrigado 😁✌️
Oi! Temos vídeos sobre coloquialismo em espanhol :) Obrigada!!! Cynthia x

!Gracias!
Saque 9/12! Me resultaron mas dificiles las preguntas 5, 6, 10.
¡Buen trabajo! :)
Nicely done!
¡Gracias!
Give it a go! What's the worst that could happen? :)
Entonces.
Hmmm... Se puso a llorar (she brust into tears (suddenly)) would work better in sentences like:
He told her that she wasn't invited and... ella se puso a llorar.
She failed this very important exam and... ella se puso a llorar.
If we had that sentense in the past: Ella era una chica muy sensible... What would work would be: so she used to burst into tears (imperfect) = y se ponía a lorar por cualquier cosa. Cx
is there something harder?
Muy bien ring Skår👏
I'll grade myself somewhere in the B1-B2 range.
so I just re-watched this video and got 8/12......
I wasn't sure whether I was at this level so I decided to try this quiz. i got 7/12 ( but for no.5 I wasn't sure if I did it correctly because you said 'por' but I said 'para' which is also used so if I got it right, that'll be 8/12).
Buen trabajo :)
@@LightSpeedSpanishChannel Gracias.
My learning is all over the place. I got more of these correct off of vibes alone than I did on the B1/2 test trying to think my way through it 😂
Too much over-analising, perhaps? Cx
@@LightSpeedSpanishChannel Probably! I don't have the tools to analyse the more complicated stuff, it either feels right or it doesn't. But boy can I argue with myself over the B level questions!
Muchas gracias ❤️🙏🏻🤗
¿Alguna vez has oído a alguien usar 'infortunadamente'? Cx
Yippeeeeee!!!! I got ALL of these right!!!! Does this mean I'm at the C1 level? Probably more likely that the examples were relatively easy…
¡Toma ya! Cx
@@LightSpeedSpanishChannel ¡lo hizo!
¡Estupendo! Cx
I missed 4- did I pass or what level does they make me? 😅
Maybe you'll be between b2 and C1 ;)
I done great at the b1/B2 video you done but this one is a 50/50 with correct answers I'm getting. Not at all confident here hahaha but I'll keep going
It's just a test. Try again in a few days :) Cx
