Too many people in the comments would freak out about how politically incorrect LSL is and ruin the fun for disgusting, degenerate, basement-dwelling liberal perverts like myself.
Great episode guys! I've been playing games for 35 years and never seen this one! Also, Nimons are aliens that look like bulls that can shoot lasers from their horns. They are from a season of Dr. Who from the 70s, seems like too much of a coincidence to not be what they were going for.
@Skye Reynolds I figure so due to the close resemblance (for atari) although the spelling of Nimon is different. But that's what I figure they were making reference to.
Theres a 70's Doctor Who series called "The Horns of Nimon" (Nimon not Nemon). In that the "Nimon" was a minotaur like alien and when characters enter the "Nimon"'s realm they enter an ever-changing labyrinth.
The Nimon, with an I, is also the minotaur substitute monster in Tom Baker Doctor Who story The Horns of Nimon, which is heavily inspired by the story of the labyrinth of Crete.
"Minotaur" is just ancient Greek for "bull of Minos" because it was owned by Minos. But really it's a man-eating hell-beast with a bull head created by unnatural experiments, there's no actual name for that type of creature because there's only one, except his actual given name which is Asterion. In Doctor Who, there are aliens called "Nimons" that are exactly like minotaurs, so I think British people made this game.
"unnatural experiments"? no, this woman Pasiphaë fell in love with a white bull and made a cow custome so the bull fucked her, voila! half-man, half-cow man born and then thrown in labyrinth.
@@SwedishEmpire1700 The "white bull" was a magic bull created by Poseidon himself, and the "cow costume" was a device invented for the woman by a mad scientist.
I can't believe you're doing these kind of games! Thank you! Wonder if that coffin is what inspired Dragon Quest's coffins, I believe this game came four years before DQ2. 9:22 Skunk* Dang my great memory!
Wow those CGA colors are instantly recognizable. Haven't heard of this game, but I played a lot of these pc-booter games like *Freddy Fish* and especially *Digger* :)
Speaking of old games, I'd love to see the Colonel's Bequest, or the Quest for Glory series, both have some really great bits in them, played them every chance I got at a close friend's place back in the days of the 386 and 486 computers, DOS command prompts galore and directory listings, so much more than the point and click of this era to get something running, I kinda miss it actually. XD =^.^=
I'd love to see more older DOS games represented on here. I mean you gotta at least do Round 42. Or one of my favorites as a kid: Bolo Adventures, a puzzle game that'll kick your ass.
the sound effect you're thinking of might be the same as the sound of falling in porkys. and i remember using copied floppy disks on my grandparents zx spectrum :)
*I can't wait for **_HaLloWeeN!_* At the same time, I don't want this special certain time of the year to go away, I wish it wouldn't be ending soon enough - *I JUST **_LO♥E_** HALLOWEEN!*
Hey! Did you guys hear of this new game called Micro Mages coming out for the NES? You should check it out. Keep going with the Mondays series. There are some good convos too!
James said , "So I guess the Japanese version is better? Kind of like eating a skunk vs eating a skunk with a little salt on it". No cat shit this time..lolol..
You guys should play Leisure Suit Larry
@Zachary Erickson yes but any would be worth watching
That (or the Space Quest series) would so be up Mike's alley given his sense of humor lol
Too many people in the comments would freak out about how politically incorrect LSL is and ruin the fun for disgusting, degenerate, basement-dwelling liberal perverts like myself.
These old computer games were awesome.😄 The sounds are just a joy to ears.
You put the disk in and it takes forever to load?
So, it's like a modern console game?
No, you don't have to download 49GB of "patch" to play it.
Except you don't have 40 gigs of updates every other day
@Zachary Erickson it was made for the Wii U and ported to the switch
Do it for Nemon!! FOR NEEEEEEEMONN!!!!!!!!!
Wagoo Came here to say this...
When I heard Nemon that's exactly what I was thinking too. Do it for Nemon!
@@tanathos0414 Same lol
@Red - Clover Sea man on Dream Cast review.
That’s funny I remember Allen Wake looking a hell of a lot better.
The Minotaur was deleted to being very hard for the player.
Gotta find all the keys and all the hidden thermoses before Evil Otto shows up and eats Alan's wife!
Allen Wake? You mean Alan Wake? :D
I thought of that game to :P I love that game

DON'T COPY THAT FLOPPY!
That's exactly what I thought!
@Dan H I dunno, what kind of car?
B17
DON'T FLOPPY THAT COPY!
C'MON GUYS! I THOUGHT YOU KNEW BETTER!
I think Blaster Master was what James was thinking of, the rock patterns.
That is a "square wave" synth sound. Sometimes modulated by a square LFO. Sometimes with portamento glide or rise/fall in pitch. For reference.
The Nimon, with an I, is also the minotaur substitute monster in Tom Baker Doctor Who story The Horns of Nimon, which is heavily inspired by the story of the labyrinth of Crete.

@@SwedishEmpire1700 The "white bull" was a magic bull created by Poseidon himself, and the "cow costume" was a device invented for the woman by a mad scientist.
Doctor who lmao. What a NPC.
"Sexual adventures" or even "surprise Bull" works too.
Have you guys played Castle of the Winds on PC/Floppy? God it was an amazing game when I was growing up
It's 3am and I have work at 8. But James your worth the extra time.
you're not employed
No just dumb
I think the noise Mike's talking about is when the ships drop down on you in galaga
I can't believe you're doing these kind of games! Thank you!
Wonder if that coffin is what inspired Dragon Quest's coffins, I believe this game came four years before DQ2.
9:22 Skunk* Dang my great memory!
The little Minotaur is adorable in this game.
Castle of the winds comes to mind when I think of games i played but no one heard of
0223x me two but can't now do to windows 10 not supporting it
Wow those CGA colors are instantly recognizable. Haven't heard of this game, but I played a lot of these pc-booter games like *Freddy Fish* and especially *Digger* :)
Digger! They did a remake on PS3. You can also play the original in the PS3 version.
Nothing sparks up nostalgia like these old ass PC games on floppy disks.
When they were talking about Dracula (~10:25) I couldn't help but think of this obscure old DOS game called Dracula in London lol
You guys should check out The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian. Was one of my favorites back in the day
Great tips for eating catshit James! Thanks.
07:55 -- "You know what these boulders look like?" I would have seriously guessed that James was gonna say they looked like Minotaur shit.
Omg I kinda miss boot discs! Every frickin Dos games needed a custom boot disc to run back then. I’m tempted to make a retro pc someday.
I thought about it, but really Dosbox does everything you need now.
You can buy an old IBM 5150 PC new in box. Some warehouses still have them sitting around from way back when.
James now has the Rrrrrooooowwww as his ringtone
That down-pitch sound, reminds me of Centipede on Atari consoles when fleas are dropped.
Love that ending with the sfx :D
B.C.'s Quest for Tires. Majority of my childhood. Along with Grog's Revenge. I love seeing this stuff from yesteryears.
01:14 wow , james spitting some wonderful would be "lyrics"
@2:21 James loves that bass drop.
finally a cool ass DOS game to break the obligatory NES-only crap
That sound effect sounds like the Spider-Man sound effect on Atari when you fall down
>Real trip to the past
"He's gonna take you back to the past..."
Were these sound effects the ones used in the Polybius episode?
Edit: He said it right after I unpaused.
Can you tell me the time stamp for him saying that?

That deep sound is also used in Centipede
Hello From Italy, 8 a.m. over here!
watch out for the Minotaur
Those sound effects are from galaxian on Atari.
The floppy...miss those days where you need more than one of it to play a long game.
@oscar wilson Riven... having to keep all 5 CDs at hand, swapping them out constantly, if you didn't do a full install.
Still better than all the COD games ever.
It was a long road to the PC master race, very long.
Maldita Castilla next please
I thought it said: "Catacombs of Nemoy".
Damn it! XD
🤣
Noise sounds like From Spider-Man game that James played on that episode with Kyle.
Neither of you have ever done a Landstalker playthrough video. Right? Would be cool to see a J & M Mondays Landstalker video.
I've never played this game before but I've heard
of it. I think it was mentioned in the movie Big.
Another awesome video thank you for inspiring me to do my UA-cam videos.
Reminds me of the old Chopper Command and Gorilla games from back in the day.
Nice little break from my Monster Madness marathon :D
Funny how you kept the sound effects going at the end
the sound effect you're thinking of might be the same as the sound of falling in porkys. and i remember using copied floppy disks on my grandparents zx spectrum :)
Can we appreciate how nicely those rocks fall?
*I can't wait for **_HaLloWeeN!_* At the same time, I don't want this special certain time of the year to go away, I wish it wouldn't be ending soon enough - *I JUST **_LO♥E_** HALLOWEEN!*
This is an IBM PC game. Neat.
'The Trap Door is a computer game published for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 in 1986'
Next Halloween?
Killed that minotaur like a boss.

My favorite classic sounds are from Defender and Asteroids.
Catacombs of Nimoy: In search of the Holy Ears
Richter is in the new Smash Bros. too, as well as Alucard as an Assist Trophy!
The noise you were hearing I think was from Spider Man on atari when you miss the web.
This game looks awesome. I can't wait to try it out.
Love the sound effects
All of the video remembering Spiderman from Atari haha.
I'd love to see, "Spot goes to Hollywood" for the Sega genesis!
James was a retro gamer before it was even a thing
Rocks remind me of the fireball weapon in Adventure Island
It's the Angry... Videogame..... Grandpaaaaa!
This game need a promo video like you did for big rigs
i wish i could be there taken back to the past by james himself
Thay could have got the name Nemon from the dr who episode horns of nemon that came out in the 70s & it was a retelling of the minotaur story.
jungle hunt when you jump from vine to vine
If you're doing pc games, you should play Street Rod (1989). Very funny game and kinda unique in its time.
James, would you possibly say you were "Taken back to the past"?
Can't believe I'm saying this but this makes me miss them playing Atari :D
that sound it makes when you win its the same my homes interphone makes
is james hinting that he suspects the nemo was named after nemon. I THINK SO
No skulls. I’m disappointed 😔 everything’s not a Skull 💀
there was a batman the animated series episode where the riddler made a game somewhat similar to this
I love obscure CGA games.
I think that pattern of rocks is the same as in the predator game on the nes lol
Okay footbrawl for Sega genesis. You'll have a blast. Maybe I'll send it if I can find it
I love it. I miss those games sounds.
This game sounds exactly like Video Poker in a casino lol
You guys play Number Munchers?
also it was a skunk you referenced with the hide game not cat sh... lmao
Why do they call the Minotaur a Men-a-tar lmao
Awesome Misfits hat, James!
Can you guys play the Contra and Super Contra arcade games sometime? I guess on PS4?
Thank you for doing what you do.
you think your commodore 64 is really neato. what kinda chip you got in there, a dorito?
this game is like the precursor to luigi's mansion.
Wow the new Knack is looking sick!
The boulders remind me of the gi joe game on nes.
Why aren't people make such great and simple games like this today?
Play the arcade assterix and obelix is really funny
wow that minotaur goes apeshit
