Red Rain is written by Peter Gabriel and released as a first track on Peter Gabriel's solo album So at 1986. Perfectly played on bass guitar by an amazing Tony Levin, in studio as a live.

Amazing cover👍👏
Thanks 🙏
Live music is great and if you can, watch the bassist. There always something to learn. Obrad has remarkable taste and marries that with brilliant presentation. We bass players need to see how it’s done. I didn’t know there was slap bass in Red Rain. I didn’t know how they achieved it but now I do.
Tony Levin also uses what look like chopsticks on several fingers also. Bizarre to see really
@@keithdagnall7686 Actually sawn off drum sticks gaffa taped to his fingers. (Secret World Live 2012 You Tube Video)
Nice cover ! Thank you for sharing with us ;-)

Pozdrav i hvala 🙂
Excellent cover!!!
Thank You !
New player here that's just learning to bass.
It is so great to be able to see the bass part on this!
Met Peter, Tony and he rest of the band after the So concert in Philly around 87.
I caught him at Woodstock 94 where he closed the show.
I will be practicing this once my amp and speaker get here for sure.
It may be to old for you, but do you cover any Moody Blues?
John Lodge is a great bass player.
Subbed -
This is fascinating, is this a different bass part from the original recording? I ask because in the original recording there is a very distinct sound I always thought was the bass guitar but maybe I’m wrong it starts right before he sings “I can’t watch anymore… and it’s very clear and distinct. I’m no music expert and only came to your video because I am intrigued by the bass but sometimes find it hard to pick out in a song.
Thanks. Yes, this live performance is a diferent then the original from the album.
great cover, great sound! What strings do you use??
Thanks. I usualy use Elixir, but on that song I thing the bass had new set of Ernie Ball 45-120.
@@ObraBass the lighter gauge on the B string really makes it sing more. Great job!
@@chriscurmi1 Thanks. I usually do not like to fat low B. 120 is enough for nice sound and not to suffer too much.
Hi Obrad, whats your signal flow? Compressor and drive? Please explain.. great tone..✌️
Thanks. Recorded through JDI Passive Direct Box to Focusrite Scarlet 2i2. No drive in this song. A bit of compressor in DAW.
Neodymium ?
Yes
Except Levin plays it with Funk Fingers.....
You're right 👍
