    REally good detailed step by step guide to prepping and replacing this line. Looks really easy to access the line with nothing else to remove in the way. It's a simple repair and would probably cost a lot if done by a paid mechanic.

    Great diy fix. We almost bought that tractor but ultimately went with one that had a cab due to cold weather and using the snowblower in the winter. Like learning all I can to fix it myself! And we do have that same front loader too. Thanks!

      I imagine it gets mighty cold up there! Sounds like a great choice!

    Hi, Ray!! The hubby's tractor is an old Kubota, but I'll have to let him know about your channel if he needs to repair anything, as your step by step guides are sparkle-tastic! We're still struggling with our crawlspace and support beam issues here before we can unpack our house all the way and finish "indoor remodeling projects". Just trying to live right now. lol. I hope y'all had a nice Christmas, despite this strange year. Happy New Year! Sparkle on!

      When the line popped on me, I thought the tractor got hit by gunfire, it was loud. The great thing was that it was obvious what happened, and I could see the issue clearly... that, and a hose maker is very near by our property, so I lucked out!
      Thanks for watching!

    Good hydraulic repair Ray! Must have been a defective hydraulic fitting crimped on the hose to fail already. Pick up a pack of the black UV resistant zip ties at least 8" long to secure the hoses, the regular white ones are not UV resistant and will become brittle and snap off in no time. Watching, supporting & liking! 👍

    Surprised that hose blew on this Kubota. Looks almost new & well kept. Good tip covering the open lines until new hose was available. Oh you mentioned warranty, hoses not covered? Harbor Freight with lifetime warranty for wrenches. Good explanation for this repair. I am still looking for a unit but prices are out of my range for what I will be using it for.
    👍
    Stay safe, Joe Z

    If you're gonna ziptie anything protect it. They will cut through. Put a piece of hose or regular Rhino Guard line wrap around it.

    • @rayhayden
      @rayhayden  Рік тому

      Excellent point! I did not really include the need to avoid the slicing and dicing that zip-ties can do. While I made sure that the hose was well protected from chafing, I should have added that point as well!
      Thanks for watching, and adding that comment!

    awesome tractor and an interesting video, also interesting is I subscribed to your channel Ray quite some time ago and for whatever reason I notice I am no longer subscribed, could UA-cam be up to its old tricks again, anyways I'm subbed for sure now.

      I think it is part of their thing - where they just pull the plug on connections from time to time. I don't think most of the folks we joined up with would pull the plug on a connection once we make it. The cool thing is that I saw your video link on a different site - probably Twitter - so having the multiple connections is a good way to make sure we stay connected.

    How do you get the air out of the system?

    • @rayhayden
      @rayhayden  2 роки тому

      Great question, I actually don't know. I have to look it up and see if there is a procedure - like for our car brake lines and such... The hydraulic fluid is simply transmission fluid, and it all is in the same fill section. I have to look it up to be sure, but everything is working perfectly normal.

      Loosen the connection farthest away from the flow direction and run till it is clear, white means air bubbles, then tighten and clean up..you may need to also do it further down the system to the next area that you can loosen..
