- Acker Bilk's "Aria" is a beautiful piece, but to me, there are aspects of this
music that keeps it from being VERY beautiful......until I edited the music and
the video.
I'll spare you the details of everything I did, but feel free to watch
the original and then watch my version and see if you can see and hear the
differences. This was the most difficult, editing job I've ever done and took
a long time, but this music is so beautiful, it was worth it.
Here is the original

What a beautiful song
Fabulous I could listen to it all day
The most talented clarinet player. Aria touches my heart and soul. Thank you Acker for a timeless performance. I have loved this for 40 plus years and will love it for however many years I have left. Beautiful xx
Beautiful. May he rest in peace.
Thank you. I had not yet heard that he died.
This is probably one of the most "emotional instrumentals" I have ever heard! When my time comes to depart this mortal world I would like this played............it is just absolutely STUNNING! Acker Bilk, what a musician!!; and Ruby Flipper's Patti Hammond dance interpretation of this is just truly awesome!!
It's great that you "get" this music, or I should say, that you FEEL this music. The one music piece that comes close to the emotional impact of this music is, Dvorak - Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95 'From the New World', II. Largo [providing the oboe is used as the lead instrument]
Oh indeed I do, with my whole being! I could play it non-stop! I must look up Dvorak - Symphony No 9, not familiar with that.
Well, just in case you are not familiar with Dvorak's piece, here is a link to the Largo 2nd movement. Listen to the first part of that 2nd movement up to 4:50. It's that solo oboe that I refer to. ua-cam.com/video/ASlch7R1Zvo/v-deo.html
