I’m 59 years old, heard this song for the first time two days ago, I can’t stop listening to it. The song never made the charts here in America. This is why I love UA-cam.
LOVE this version, This is my daughters song, The day she was born OCT 26th 1976 back in Scotland i came out the hospital after seeing her for the fist time and when i turned on my car this song was playing by Mr Acker Bilk this is a great rendition and as a hank Marvin Fan love all your Tunes

This tune has been the soundtrack of my life from the first time I heard it in the early eighties. I wrote an essay inspired by it in middle school, it has been a comfort when life has been difficult and an extra boost when life has been good. I've tried many times to play it my self on all kinds of keyboards from the eighties home organ to the modern zynths... I could never do it justice. You sir, you've done what I never could.
I saw another commenter suggesting a mix of your guitar with Mr Bilk's original. I'll join in on that. It would be amazing.
Anyway, thanks for this. I truly love your version of the soundtrack of my life.

I heard the Acker Bilk version yesterday on the radio for the first time in years - in fact I can't recall the last time I heard it. It is an absolutely beautiful melody and you do it justice with this lovely guitar version. Well done.

Pete can you do a vid on pedal board gear and other stuff like that? Thar last time I heard your voice was by telephone years ago and it would be nice to hear again. Nobody can fault your sound or playability but an insight to what you think about sound creation and how you achieve it I'm sure would delight all of your fans. I know English to some Europeans isn't their first language but it's the worldwide language and I know your English to be good so come on Pete, drop the serious face and interact verbally.
