Everyone falls off there bike (Me included a few times) But at the end of the day, you just get back on again. The best place for learning new skills is offroad and slower speeds and manoeuvre's...Good luck to you Saffy 🙂
Well done!!! Good to see you practicing off-road riding. Trust me.... you'll use those skills riding on tarmac not to mention increasing your confidence 👏👏👏
@@SaffySprocket don't worry about muscle pain when practicing, bruises and all that discomfort. We all went through it at the beginning of off-road adventure. Keep trying and hopefully one day I'll see you flying through the green lanes 😉
I have been riding 45+ years, lots of off road, a decent period doing vintage motocross and enduro in the 90's on a 1974 Yamaha DT400 (stripped and hotted up, and I still have it). I brought a 2022 Pan America in March 2023, I have done a bit of trail and dirt road riding, the first thing I did was book in for an off road riding course, to brush up my skills. I use the Panam as mostly a sealed road riding bike, sports tourer and commuter. My other bike is a 1988 Harley Davidson Lowrider 1340cc, with a sidecar and hotted up.
Now that's really "Green" lane practice. But also hard to get grass stains out so better to stay upright. Remember the bikes going to "wobble" under you and is normal off road and on a trail. Take care and was a surprise to see Deimante getting more practice in also. Nice to see you together. Hope you had a more dry than wet weekend Saffron.

Hello Saffy! You've got this sister! You are so brave and it is excellent to conquer your fears. You looked brilliant and you did well. Well done. Did you have fun? Is it worth a try as I saw an off roading motorcycle training centre 15 miles from Rhayader. Bless your little heart, I could hear the nervous breathing and I was doing the same as you when I was watching. I hope you are ok! I held my breath when you went down. I hope you did not get hurt. 😘Well done for getting back on the bike and laughing it off. You're a star! Well done for doing this and I hope it helps you conquer your fear.
I'm really excited!!! Feel like a whole new world is opening up for me! Think it's been a long time coming really giving my habit of going along unpaved roads 😂
@SaffySprocket take it steady on the bike all so remember a slightly softer rear tyre out on the dirt will give more grip have fun saffy and stay safe sweet hart
I was glad to see you got a smile out of that instructor in the middle at the first part of your video... as she is listening to you she seems to be thinking something like "I'll bet this one sings inside her helmet while riding" I'm sure you won her over! aside from a little Tuck and Roll you had a great first lesson! well Done
Falling down is par for the course. Dress for the crash, you’ll be fine. Dirt and grass is a lot softer to land on than concrete and asphalt. I’d need a math nerd to calculate how many times I’ve dropped my R1250GSA. One thing I’ll say that helps a lot is to get comfortable and relax. If you are tense, because your scared or anxious, you won't let the bike do bike things and you’ll end up on the ground more. That is a huge thing for most riders and it applies just as much on the road.
I haven't seen hers yet! Need to find a few minutes to watch it! I still have another video I need to edit from the training! I stayed an extra day and learnt even more!
I've always had it at the back of my mind to give this sort of thing a try (been riding for 35 years but never really gone green laning or off roading on a bike 🏍 - done it in a 4x4 🚙and it was brilliant fun rock climbing!). Moved house this year and there's actually an enduro track about 2 minutes drive from my new home (Aberbeeg enduro track in South Wales)! Can't afford an appropriate bike though. 😢 Having said that though my current bike is such a ratty old heap of crap that I could probably just do it anyway! 🤣
Can't wait for the day when we get Saffy Sprocket collab, or just hanging out with, Doodle on a Motorcycle. Perhaps for Babes Ride Out, or an off-road course with Jocelyn Snow! :D i'm aware that wouldn't be cheap. >.>

Hope you're not in too much pain, and didn't land on your ribs. Take care and look after yourself, Best wishes Roy 😊.

You could do well to try all of the different off-road riding genres. Modern trials, pre60s trials, scrambles, mx, enduro, grasstrack, even speedway and possibly hill climb. Everyone is different. Also worth buying an old bike to blast around on. Cheap to buy and repair/maintain and not top heavy. Honda xl250 or Yamaha xt250 are ideal to really build confidence. Ex 2 stroke mx bikes will just scare you. 😊

I know it's supposed to be better lol.
@@SaffySprocketstanding on the pegs does NOT lower the centre of gravity. 6:43 Try slowing down and paying attention to what’s actually happening. I appreciate that you may struggle to be taught. I’m mildly dyslexic and am LLI, consequently I’m probably virtually IMPOSSIBLE to teach ANYTHING. So I understand how that may possibly feel for you. But if you observe what’s happening in front of you, and figure out what’s being done. Very soon it begins to feel intuitive. Did you ride a bike as a child? If not, get a basic mountain bike, you will become a much better off-road motorcycle rider if you can get used to the necessary skills at slower speeds, and with less weight to control. Also, do some exercises to improve your upper body strength. All women are at a disadvantage compared with men, in their upper body strength. Controlling a bike is a lot easier if you have stronger arms and shoulder area muscles. My biggest disability is my lower back which I damaged severely when I was young. So I’m constantly compensating. I get how difficult it is. Good luck. One day at a time. Ride safe Peace 🏴
