Good on ya,I'll donate £50 to Yorkshire air ambulance asap.
Thank you so much 🥰
Well done Saffy. You were obviously and understandably shaken. You talked to yourself, overcame and carried on, you should feel very proud of yourself.
Thank you so much 😍🥰
It wouldn't be much of an advenventure if you just crunched the miles on main roads. You stayed calm and your technique for picking up the bike was spot on.Brilliant.Well done.
For sure ahahhahaha
Saffy your a true adventurer, well done for picking yourself up and carrying on. It was nice to meet you at the NEC today. The bike you was sitting on when I spoke to you was definitely a better option for off road. Ride safe.
You dealt with that situation amazingly, well done. The relief when you got the bike back on its wheels was clear to see. Remember you are doing something that very few people are willing or able to do so keep up the great work.
Great attitude Saffy . Be safe . Looking forward to the rest of your trip 👍👍👍👍🏴
Thank you so much 🥰
You can’t consider yourself a “rider” until you’ve come off a few times on the dirt. Well done thinking things through and getting the bike back up by yourself 👍
Coming off is one thing 😅 having to sleep in a Tent covered in mud is another 🤣
Saffron you really are amazing! To get up, compose yourself and carry on showed real strength and bravery.
Thank you so much 😍🥰
Great to see you were alright despite the scare and hopefully lesson learned, always listen to your inner voice. Thanks for sharing Saffy! 👍👍
I certainly learnt something here ahahhaah
I think all your supporters are impressed with you, you are a top girl in my eyes. My donation will be to the East midlands Air Ambulance.😊👍🏍
Thank you so much 🥰
Another great video Saffy , please say safe though as we need a lot more if your crazy vlogs and that infectious giggle. Glad you didn't hurt yourself, was good chatting to you today and hope you manage to book in that nc500 trip 😊🏴😎
🤣 there's crazier things to come I can assure you (and I'm home safe in one piece)
First of all, hats off for heading down that dirt track in the first place. I think your inexperience let you down there. To fast through muddy puddles on road tyres. But then, I was spat off my bike much the same way the other week as mud can be so unpredictable. I was shouting at the screen for you to get the bike up first time. Loved the way you were talking to yourself to bring your adrenaline back down and tell yourself it’s ok.
I'm so pleased I've donated already Saffy, I bloody well hope you don't need the Polish air ambulance, but as you know road tyres and mud, no, no, once those treads are filled it's as slippery as ice, your front wheel just washed out. You handled it really well I must say calming yourself down, I've never heard so many bleeps though ha-ha. I did sort of enjoy it, but you made me very nervous. Take care lovely Lady.
Ahahaha for sure, it was quite the shock
Great video, looks like a beautiful part of Poland, iv done that on me bike many a times over the years,You handled it well
Thank you so much 🥰
Phew!! Relieved that you were ok after that spill. Your crash bars and paniers sure saved the day. well done with recovering the situation.
both times that i've been down, i've had my leg trapped under the bike lol, so you sure got lucky there. Hats off to you for making your adventure a real challenge. 👏👏 Respect... crazy lady 😊 Stay safe out there. 🏍💨👍
Ahahah the adrenaline carried me through 🤣
@@SaffySprocket All hail Adrenaline...it's wicked stuff 🤣
All part of the adventure--you did well with the recovery.
Thank you so much 🥰
That fall certainly knocked your confidence on that road but you kept your cool, picked your bike up and carried on, albeit a bit slower. Wish I had got my license when I was younger and did some proper touring. Nice to meet you today at Motorcycle Live
Damn well done getting back to it, Saff! Best way to deal with it is to get right back on and continue. Be proud as heck of yourself, we certainly are!
Thank you so much 😍🥰
@@SaffySprocket No thank YOU for going through the gauntlet for a good cause! And managing to entertain us while doing it!
Just watched this video, it was good, but you have to be very very careful on the muddy patches. Hope you are ok and any lasting pains are slowly going and your elbow is ok. Good job you have no breaks. Roll on ghe next video, let us know how you feel in the next one Saffy as we worry about you by yourself. x
Well done you. We have all had an off at some time. You did so well to keep calm and keep going. Such courage .
Saffy, whenever I watch your videos there are three words that come to mind; mad, box, frogs. Please never change. :)
Donation made, it is the least I can do after watching this. You are doing great Saffy. Don't focus on one little mistake. Plenty more adventure to look forward to.
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Good job picking up and carrying on. I often have a few miles of gravel and dirt to get to backcountry campsites, and it's sketchy AF when wet. I just switched to some 50/50 tires to help out.
Well done Saffy! Glad you are all ok!! x
Thank you so much 🥰
AHHH you did great ,thank you for the longer video, I know how long it takes to edit . See you next week and glad you are okay 💚💚💚
Glad you enjoyed it 😅
Great job. Was glad you could pick up your bike. Mine gets tired sometimes and takes a nap in the mud also. Something to try is in your luggage try to keep all the heavy stuff as low in your luggage as possible. Glad you’re ok. Love your hair.
I keep forgetting you're doing this on your own...
Glad you weren't hurt coming off Rocket, and I'm glad he was OK too. Guess he doesn't like muddy tracks in Poland 😆.
You showed real determination and strength of character in getting up and keeping on going.
Very well done!
Thank you so much 🥰 and no, rocket wasn't too impressed 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Saffy, you kept yourself calm and continued on with the journey, I remember coming off mine fully loaded and trying to pick it back up as well, confidence blow a side, I was absolutely knackered trying to lift the thing 🤣
Thank you so much, had a little bit of panic getting it back up but got their eventually
Oh bless you that must have been so frightening... In the middle of nowhere, all alone and feeling so lonely. My heart felt for you watching you struggle to lift Rocket. You could have been hurt bless you. But then out came a little giggle and that positive mindset came to the fore and our little Sprocket was back on the road again. See.. this is why we love our little Saffy.. ❤
Adrenaline is a heck of a response, I think you don't get time to feel any emotions, it's only when it wears off that you start to go 'oh heck'
Swear I've dropped every bike I've ever owned, most under more mundane and clumsy circumstances than green laning half way across Europe. Well done for taking a moment and hatching a plan. Long as it's turned off and you're not hurt, it's not going to get worse.... not like it can fall any further!
Are you really a biker if you haven't dropped a bike ahahah
Like the terminator! Dusted yourself off, got up and cracked on! Love it. Real motorcyclist and an inspiration! Hope my daughter has your go do it attitude when she grows up 😊
😅 I don't think I had much choice to be fair ahahahhahaha
Great vid Saffy. Loverly to meet you today at the NEC. Thank you for your time.
Lovely to meet you too!
Well done Saffy how incredibly proud you must be to have a fall and just keep your head pick your bike up and carry on absolutely amazing ❤️.
Thank you so much 😍🥰
Staffy, back just before my 16th birthday when television was still in black n white in 405 lines once of the older bikers said to me... Listen to your inner voice and if its saying something other than what you're doing listen to it. Needless to say, I wish I had. I'm a tad old and alot wiser but still there are time I just go with the flow. So good on you girl for trying and continuing 👌. Glad you and the bike are both okay. So until next week kido, safe and enjoyable riding.
My inner voice gets me into trouble far too much 🤣🤣🤣
You did really well keeping positive and getting your bike back up again. x
Thank you so much ❣️🥰
"Beep" indeed!! Every one you walk away from is a lesson.. Now you know. Safe travels Saffy!! You are doing great!
😅😅😅 knocked me down a peg that's for sure
Hi Sally what a brave and caring person enjoy your trip be safe and get back home x
Thank you so much 😍
Fantastic!.Well done!.Dont stop seeing where a road will take you.
🥰 thank you so much
Calmly dealt with, well done Saff x
Thank you so much 🥰
You're doing fine! This is adventure, right? By definition, unexpected things are supposed to happen, not? 😄Your attitude, ability to calm yourself and your laughter in the face of adversity is admirable. You'll be fine! Drive safe! ✌
Thank you so much 😍🥰
Nice job on the recovery Saffy. Always remember to check yourself first thoroughly before getting to the bike. The bike's not going anywhere. With the adrenalin pumping it's easy to not notice an injury...a minor injury to a joint can be aggravated when picking up the bike.
I thought you were going to drop it in the puddles just before :) At least you stayed dry. The music was good this video Saffy, great vid. :)
Thank you so much 😍🥰
When I saw that first big puddle I thought that's where you were gonna go down. Well done for taking the time to stop and assess. Ride safe.
🤣 nearly!
What an adventure. You handled yourself very well. Kudos on picking up your bike, it's amazing how much heavier a bike feels when it is on its side. Glad you were not injured. As to what happened, I suspect you lost your front wheel grip which tipped you over.
Great work with the recovery. Found myself in a similar situation many times, but we never learn. If you attach some paracord or thin rope to your side stand puck you can get on the bike before pulling it up. Less chance of the bike sinking into the mud. Can't wait to catch up with the rest of your trip. Looks like you're having the best of times out there. I'm planning a similar trip for next year so it's great to get some first hand tips on how to do it (definitely keeping the off road tyres fitted). 👍
That's a good idea!
You did awesome!!! Super cool film.👍🏴
Thank you so much 🥰
I know I'm a bit late commenting on this video but I just wanted to say fair play on getting the bike back up after dropping it, that must have shook you right up. Dead impressed with you and what you're doing, keep on riding 💪🤘
Thank you so much 🥰
, happened to me a thought times, just got to pick it up and have a red bull afterwards.well done for doing the trip ,love your videos
It's a bit of a shock isn't it
Well done saffy, after your spill rightly assessed the situation calmly while on an adrenalin rush. Liked the way you correctly used your back to lift the bike to avoid personal injury. This should also give you an idea for your next bike where this situation could happen again when riding alone. If you were my daughter I would be so proud of you.
Ps hope rockets OK too.
Thank you so much 🥰 and yes, I've been thinking about a new bike for a few months now 😅
You are one tough cookie!!!….still giggling after crashing in the middle of nowhere!!!…🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍…love your videos Saffy ✊✊✊
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Epic Saffy hope you enjoy your trip looking forward the the rest of the videos.
When it comes to camping have a look at the thermarest neoair xlite sleeping pad it's a game changer for keeping you warm and stopping you losing heat from your body and its comfortable. 👍
Pleased your okay after rockets 🚀 crash.
I'll have a look into it thank you 🥰
OMG so glad you made it out in one piece! I've also had a strap get stuck in my rear wheel once and yeah that yank is scary.
Yeh it's not great
Ouch! Hope yourself & the bike are both OK. Was certainly a test of the anxiety meds for sure watching the video knowing you were going to come off at some point! It always seems a good idea to "go off the beaten track", but can guarantee at some point you will ask yourself "why did I just do that?"
Another awesome video of your travels though, despite the nervous breakdown you put this particular viewer through! 😄
Absolutely no damage done to either thank god 😅😅😅
@@SaffySprocket pleased both Saffy & Suzuki are unscathed. Your crash was definitely more dignified than mine on the BikeSafe course. We'd pulled over on a country lane, and I didn't realise where I'd stopped was just where the camber of the road dropped into the verge, so as I tried to set off all my front wheel would do was turn in towards the ditch below. I went & put my right foot down a bit hard, and with nothing underneath my left foot to re-adjust, I had no option but to drop the bike down into the grass/mud!
Luckily bar a broken lever guard, the only thing that was harmed was my pride & briefly my confidence. 😄
Ah nooooo, that's worse
Good to see you're OK and enjoying your adventure. One point, your top box looked very heavy when you lifted it. Put light / bulky stuff in there and the heavy stuff in the panniers to keep you C of G as low as possible.
Well done Saffy, you done really well coping with it as you did. You done nothing wrong other than becoming a little over confident of the speed you were at as you hit the muddy puddles, a number of things can then cause a bike to go down in that situation. And at least you were not to hurt either, and the bike I'm sure is fine.
If you ever find yourself 'actually' stopping and questioning yourself...listen to yourself, though we rarely do 😂 Good to see you got through it in one piece and the bike too. All good experiences when you make it to the next stop, it certainly makes you stronger, and hopefully a little wiser. Thanks for the goodie bag today at the NEC, I hope you enjoyed the show.
😅 common sense isn't as common as people want to make out
Glad you’re all ok Saffy and we’ve all had mishaps on our bikes, mine was on cobbles for the first time in the wet and not a mistake I made again 🙏
Not my brightest moment 😅
But you worked past it, onwards & upwards Saffy 👏
Wet cobbles are the work of the devil.
You did exactly the right thing to recover, didn't panic, thought about it and sorted it. The tyres let you down, once you get the mud packed in the tread you might as well be on slicks. Every days a learning day
As you discovered, when the bike starts to go on a slippery surface, it will quickly become uncontrollable. Good job you had a relatively soft landing and no injuries to yourself or rocket.. Very sensible to remove the luggage thereby reducing the weight for the lift. Methodical thinking saved the day. Take care Saffy.
You are doing great. I would have went down that track too, even though my satnav was telling me to do a U turn, like yours. Glad you are ok and I do think you are enjoying the experience. Maybe you should visit a KTM dealer for your next bike. 😂 looking forward to the next instalment. Stay safe.
That was nail biting stuff 😫 😬. You handled it like a pro though 💪.Subscribed 👍👍
😅😅😅 I tried
Here I was, caught in the moment, moving my head side to side trying to look around the leaf to check if Saffy and the sprocket rocket were ok! 😅
🤣 both completely unscathed
Look as far ahead as you can when in dirt roads. It helps you pick the best line - and steer clear of having to ‘cross over’ which invariably means a spill. Got to say, you did brilliantly.
Awesome job.
You shut the motor down.
Got the vulgarity out of the way! That actually helps. Took a couple of minutes to get yourself together and then went to work.
Falling down is part of life. You can’t truly live without crashing every now and then. Getting comfortable with that makes all the ups higher and all the downs a bit less down.
In a couple of weeks, you’ll laugh at the whole situation.
Swearing totally helps ahahhaahqhq
Great job, Saffy!! 💪👍
Thank you so much 🥰
So glad you are all right, stay safe and happy riding.👍👍👍
I bounce well 😅😅😅
@@SaffySprocket You shore did and I fell off my bike in a petrol station.
Saffy I think you thought your bike had become a tractor lol you were going plowing a few fields 🤣🤣. Glad your OK great stuff again stay safe on your journey.
🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
i love riding the back roads and greenlanes. I only have a 125 road bike. did a video recently with a friend, great fun.
Oh nice! What bike do you have :D?
@@SaffySprocket honda cb125f, I ride it everywhere, back roads, gravel, green lanes. You don't need an adventure bike to have an adventure 😊
glad you're ok, and the bike. i crashed mine 5 weeks ago. didn't fair so well . and the bike is poorly. im doing a series on fixing it. watch the the first vid on it saff to see it
I've been watching your channel for some time. Now you are traveling in my country. I am interested on your plan for this part of Europe in the winter. Good luck!
I will be back in Poland next summer for sure 😅 its a fun country to ride in
@@SaffySprocket Let me know when you will be in the south of Poland. It would be nice to go to interesting places or maybe meet somewhere along the way.
Well done for taking that on, awesome lady.
Thank you so much 😍🥰
I've only dropped my bike once outside the UK and that was in Greece in the early 80's near the Corinth Canal. Luckily, although it was on tarmac, it was at walking speed so no damage was done and we were able to pick her up and carry on heading south.
I don't even think about my continental near-misses any more. We were young and believed that we were invincible! I'm happy to be older and wiser now. 😉
Richard
you are so brave to go to the Poland in this time of year. I have been live there 18years its nice country
It's a really nice country, I'm planning to go back again in the summer 😅
@@SaffySprocket can i go with you?
A very powerful lesson there Safy. Don't take your bike off road! You were fortunately lucky.
For sure ahahaha
You made me laugh talking to yourself, I thought I was the only nut case who did that.
You really should listen to your inner self, when something feels wrong. X
Ah man sometimes you gotta do it or you freak out 😅🤣
Well done you. You handled the ‘mishap’ really well. Please take care of yourself though.
Thank you so much for your support 😊☺️😊
Fair play with keeping your head straight. Coming off no matter how small it was can really shake your confidence.
Thank you so much 🥰
Great video !! Motorcycling is an adventure, you prove the point. The track you followed is where so many poser's on their adventure bikes have nightmares about. Beautiful photography.
Well aha, it was certainly an adventure that's for sure 😅😅😅
Most important is you're OK and at least you were on an adventure when you did it, I put mine down on its side last week whilst turning into the alleyway I ride down to get to my house 🤣
Oh nOoOoOo hope its ok
Good to know that you are OK, Saffy. You need to get an adventure bike with knobblies to tackle those muddy tracks. At least you were on fairly soft earth. I recently dropped my 240Kg BMW (from stationary) on tarmac. Hadn't noticed the gradient to the right and put only one leg down - bike leaned too far over and I couldn't get leverage to pick it up again. I went down with the bike and I can say that tarmac is a lot harder than mud - it hurt. 😢Anyway, lesson learned - not to be repeated. Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN! 😄
Aha for sure! I've been eying up some new bikes 😅😅😅😅
That was a bit 8f a tumble and you handled it well. There will be more so don't worry lol....
My thoughts immediately though is something that I was guilty 8f myself when I came of my Versys 1000 . I had simply too much weight high up. I now put my sleeping balls and bedding in my too box. The heavy stuff either goes across the back seat or in the bottom of the 2 side panniers. It makes a huge difference.
Good luck Saffy though you are doing great ... 😊😊😊
We often donate to the air ambulance, they do a great service and had them out on a run as one of our guys had a serious accident and the trauma team onboard managed to save him.
They're a fabulous charity:)
Same damaged roads as in Belgium... They call Belgium as "That shitty peace of tarmac between The Netherlans and France". Even when I tell my TomTom to avoid gravel roads, I'll end up dirt-biking on gravel. No fun on a roadbike :)
Glad you're okay after the drop!!! Stay healthy!!!
Well done Saffy for keep going
Thank you so much 😍🥰
Hi Saffy, telling the truth ones you enter the dirt road, I felt like riding my motorcycle right behind you.I felt very tense watching you speeding up and felt telling you, Saffy slow down, you are going to fast, watch that puddle, steer to the right and so on. But at the end you did well and since I was mentally riding behind you while watching you on UA-cam, I must say sorry that I couldn't help you. Right a way, I love your giggle.
Hope to watch your next trip soon.
Aha for sure, I got a little cocky, I learnt a little lesson 😅 no harm no foul
Well done for getting back on the road. I would have been in a right tiss!
My bike is way too heavy for me to lift.
I think a lot of it is technique and leaning against the bike, javigb said that I wouldn't want to try it on an Africa Twin 😅😅😅
Glad u and bike r ok I was knocked off feb back on 6 months later and off again with op on my wrist can’t keep a biker off . NB danger of riding if no mobile reception and on own and non off road bike , it’s more enjoyable with right tyres
Keep up the transparent vids
Hope you're ok
@@SaffySprocket can’t wait to be back in my bike
What an inspiration you are❤️
Thank you so much 🥰
I wish I could do half as much as you,I'm always "What if".I lost so much confidence through ill health but watching you achieve so much really is helping me.Thanks x
Atta girl. Keep keepin your chin up! You're a winner!
Thank you so much 🥰
Hi Saffy.
It takes some courage, strength and balls to do a trip like this at such a young age and on your own. The only way to get better is by our mistakes in life. Good luck and stay safe and more importantly enjoy yourself 🤣👏👏👏
Sometimes the lessons are very cold and muddy 😅😅😅
@@SaffySprocket yes. But that's all part of the adventure mind 🤣🤣
well done little miss saffy, stay safe xx
Thank you so much 🥰
The important thing is to keep the enthusiasm and continue to make the next video I always wish you good luck Fans From Indonesia
So glad you weren't hurt! I've dumped my own bike a couple of times off pavement and was similarly lucky. ...Or WAS it luck? Maybe you just have good instincts on how to land! You bought good gear, too. I think you're better at this than you give yourself credit for.
Mud and clay are quite testing, especially on those tires. Like skating on ice with flip flops on. You handled it well, and kept yourself calm.
Not sure if you have a beacon or Garmin inreach type device in case of emergencies? If you are planning to go off the beaten track a bit more alone, especially where there is maybe no mobile signal, it may be something to consider, and always make sure its tethered/mounted on your body, easily accessible with both hands. Alternatively the same applies to a phone, as if you are alone and pinned under the bike it would be difficult.
Again, you handled the situation well so pat yourself on the back a bit, safe travels and take care.
This is something I'm currently looking into at the moment for emergencies 😅
Try not to take unnecessary risks. You obviously reflected on your decision during your narrative. Well done 👍
Wasn't my brightest moment 😅
At least you're still young enough to bounce well ! 😄 When you get back to the UK, there are some excelllent off-road courses available with Mick Extance, Dave Thorpe and others. The courses are great fun and will boost your skills and confidence no end. Stay safe.
Great adventure, that track went mucky very quickly not great on a fully laden road bike, thankfully taking nice and slow so no harm done.
Thank you so much 🥰
Both you and Rocket are battle hardened now, Saffy!
Honda Adventure Centre course or similar ?
You obviously enjoy exploring the country side (as do I) so it makes sense to orientate Rocket that way if poss ?
I'm a non biker, so it would be interesting to hear what tyres would be better and how far they could take you, or whether you'd need a different bike and why.
Would it have been worth sacrificing some trail tyres for the whole trip - how long do they last on & off road ?
It would probably be better to get a bike specialised for this than change the tyres up 😅
Be safe saffy we want you and sprocket back In one peace have fun take care. Xx
I made it back in one piece 🤣just lots of mishaps in between
That's OK then. long as your OK. Xx
It's just a little mishap you're doing fine 👍it could have been a lot worse, you are on UA-cam talking about it and learning from it. We learn from stuff like that, well done for raising awareness and money for the air ambulance 👍👍.
