It's good to see the peekaboo style getting popular again. For years you couldn't learn it unless you went to Cus D'matos gym or met with Teddy Atlas or Kevin Rooney. But Teddy atlas released a boxing instructional on the peekaboo style. It's from dynamic striking, look it up on UA-cam amazing content and cool to see the real peekaboo style.

    Weighing 80kg and standing 5'11
I'm a bit heavily built due to my history from doing bodybuilding for over 10 years (I quit it because I realized i was losing my mobility and agility, and it's not functional) , I practiced more on martial arts later onwards. And while training in martial arts, I met a kick boxing coach who thinks I learn and absorb fast , and he began to teach me the basics of boxing first. However, he only teaches me the basics first by teaching me the Orthodox style.
I was wondering, should I master the basics first ? Or can I learn the peekaboo style along while I'm practicing the basics?
I seem to enjoy the peekaboo style because I love getting close to my opponents and not far away moving around the ring too much.

Ideally it is for medium short people, but I find if a person sticks to the style that suits there dimensions they do well. Think of it like this, imagine if Tyson trained in Alis style and Ali trained in Tysons style. It wouldn't have worked at all. They both took full advantage of their body types which is why they did so well
