Coach, I'm glad you are explaining the things you shouldn't explain because some people learn from what they see. When i was being taught this i was just told to do it. If they would have explained it the way you explained i probably would have gotten it down way faster. Please don't stop explaining the little details. You are doing a really good job.
This is Exactly what a True Coach should Do , Which is to take the Time to Accurately Describe what , why , & the How of Real Application for what He Hopes to Teach . So, that the Student Understands & Applies the Body Mechanics / Moves Correctly. Great Job , Coach. New Suscriber !!
100%. I think this is what people forget. Knowing why you do something allows you to know better how to apply it to yourself. Different people may need to apply techniques differently because not everyone is built the same, or is trying to do the same thing. You got to know the rules before you can break them.
Every step forward you anchor the hips, pelvis forward duck head back ,(this position is the duck of feint counter right cross coming at you). This point you are balanced chin done, hips wound on your toes and ready to POP the eye socket or or Left counter(Mayeeather style) hook. This is my everyday workout In the dark after a hill repeat on my Bike. Gr8 video.
Awesome video bro. I'm a beginner in boxing but 4 years wrestling. I'm very inspired and motivated right now to learn everything about boxing and see what happens from their. Definitely going to gain my confidence back!
Hey Coach! I'm a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt who is training a 75yr old BEAST for his Black Belt test. We're gonna using THIS VID for our next session. Great solid teaching. Irrefutable stuff! Keep 'er lit!
That makes sense, so when you step off with that back leg, really you are just stepping completely laterally you’re not moving forward or back. Thanks coach
Best slip line break instructional I’ve seen. Been explained multiple times from multiple ppl in person, no one made sense and gave specific direction with such clarity as Coach Ant. Another awesome fundamental must-see
Man, your channel is such a great resource for beginners and fundamentals. I stay referring people that have an interest in boxing but don't want to go to a gym to your channel and this is why. Keep dropping gems coach.
Coach Anthony, I'm a former amateur and professional fighter currently teaching boxing to my students. I love how you explain things more clearly in boxing situations. Whether its in throwing punches or moving your head. Keep up the great work Champ!
like that scene in the matrix, when the councilor of zion is walkin with neo... talkin about how some people don't understand how things work, but they understand why they work... knowing how and why is the path to mastering a skill. thanks man!

Great video! It’s the little things about your explanations that I love. Stay close to the rope! Would love to see some videos on your favorite partner drills.
Super helpful, I’m trying to learn the basics and then relay them to my 8 year old son. We watch your vids all the time hear in New Orleans. Big Thanks!
God blesses those that fearlessly pass on knowledge! I pray the sweet science continues to produce young teachers like this, This guy trained Eddie chambers a great pure boxer.
Hi coach Anthony, I coach in my old amateur Gym and the only way for me to advance the kids is through content like this given out by gentlemen that care like yourself. Much appreciated Sir.
I'm working on going pro. This is all helpful no matter what I get tought and what I know already. Thank you coach I appreciate you. I hope to visit your gym in the near future. Syracuse ny here. Peace
The older coach vids are my favorite . I like the more humble vibes comes off as stoic. I’m all for the cockiness but for some reason the older videos do it for me as coach just feels more passionate about the sport and feels less I’m selling something . Either way love the hustle bro and you deserve to get paid and sell your services ! I’m just stating my unsolicited 2 cents . I appreciate your vids !

We’ve been using the ‘slip rope’ for years. Since 1980 (as far as I can remember). But I know it’s a drill that has been around for many many years before this. Coach Anth- I appreciate you sharing this critical technique with us as well as all of the other knowledgeable tips and techniques you possess, and share. That not only makes Champions, but also makes ‘Master Coaches’ like yourself. Many Thanks.
Needed this, they didn't have a slip line at my boxing club growing up, these days I find myself practicing on slipping a punch while shadow boxing but the truth is I really don't know what I'm doing because I was never taught. Appreciate it!
Thank you so much Coach Anthony. I will most certainly incorporate this in my own boxing training routine. You're NOT a Coach, but rather a Professor. Respectfully written, Santiago Murillo, Esq.
Coach you have one of the best boxing channels out there, and since i've followed you i've felt my form go leaps and bounds. My sparring mates say they can really see the changes :)
Great explanation! Ending with a punch thats closest to the rope helps to keep the flow going! Sometimes your own coaches dont realize that, thank you‼️
Thank you SO, SO MUCH Coach. ANY ADVICE for a 73 year old beginner who loves to watch the "SWEET SCIENCE" but knows nothing about its technicalities and, with the world the way it is, MUST learn some boxing for self-preservation? Thanks again - the videos are most instructive!
